Pat Dykstra, age 91, of Sheridan, Wyoming, died January 16, 2001, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Pat was born Eunice Patricia King in Houston, Missouri, on November 16, 1909, to Robert & Nancy ( Smith) King. She was the youngest of eight children. When she was a small child, her family moved to Junction City, Kansas, where she later graduated from high school. In 1935, she married Ben Dykstra and moved to Murdo, S. Dakota, where they had a ranch and wheat farming business. She was a member of Eastern Star, the Progressive Study Club and served on the Board of Education. In 1965, she and Ben began to spend half of the year in Tucson, AZ. In 1974, her husband died and she moved permanently to Tucson. In 1995, she moved to Sheridan, WY, to be closer to her daughter, Patti. Her friends will remember her for her wit and sense of humor. She loved to write, read, walk, dance and swim.
Pat is survived by her three daughters, Betty Jo Dykstra Wilcox of St. Paul, MN, Patti Adair Arnieri and husband Jim of Sheridan, WY, and Judy Dykstra-Brown and husband Bob of Boulder Creek, CA; three grandchildren, Cintra Linertz, Jeff & Craig Wilcox; five great grandchildren, Elaina, Diane & Stephanie Linertz and Gregory & Ryan Wilcox.
Entombment is in East Lawn Palm Cemetery, Tucson, AZ, on Friday, January 19, 2001.
Memorial services will be held later in Tucson, AZ, and Murdo, S. Dakota.
Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home, Sheridan, WY.

Bernard K. Farmer, Sr. 79, passed away at the Sheridan V.A. Medical Center on Monday, March 26, 2001. Kane Funeral home is in charge of local arrangements, with Bustard’s Funeral Home in Casper, Wyoming handling the funeral arrangements in Casper.
Marissa Brooke Franck Age 9 of Sheridan, WY
Died Monday, March 12, 2001, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County
Born August 30, 1991, in Cheyenne, WY

She attended Davis Elementary School and sang in the choir at First United Methodist Church in Cheyenne. The family moved to Sheridan in January, 2000, and she attended Sagebrush Elementary School where she sang in the choir. She participated in basketball, soccer, sang with a vocal group and in the Christmas program at the YMCA. She liked to go fishing, swimming, bike riding, roller blading, riding her scooter and hiking in the mountains. She would try anything. Marissa loved her family and always took care of her little sister, Autumn. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Sheridan.

Marie G. Gibson Age 86 of Sheridan, WY
Died Saturday, January 20, 2001, in Meadowlark Manor, Whitehall, Montana
Born March 10, 1914, at Hardin, MT
Parents - Allen & Alberta (Clark) Graham
She was raised on ranches around Hardin. She later worked for the Campbell Farming Corp. near Hardin. She married Loell "Bub" Gibson on December 24, 1938, in Billings, Montana. They moved to Lodge Grass Creek, MT, where they ranched. They later moved to Belgrade, MT, where they owned and operated a Conoco gas station and cabins. They moved to the Bozeman, MT, area for a short while prior to returning to ranching in northeast Wyoming. They then returned to Lodge Grass and later moved to Missoula, MT, then settling in Sheridan, WY, where they retired in 1976. Marie was a member of the Mountain View Club on Lodge Grass Creek.
Preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.

Theresa M. Hamm Age 89 of Sheridan, WY
Died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, in Westview Health Care Center, Sheridan
Born June 16, 1911, in Audubon, Iowa
Parents - Lyman & Mollie (Latshaw) Harwood
She grew up and attended schools in Guthrie County, Iowa. She came to Sheridan in the late 1930's working on a ranch for awhile. Then she worked at a dry cleaners in Sheridan where she met her husband. Theresa married Lumen E. Hamm on June 6, 1943, in Sheridan. The owned and operated the Wolf Hutt Cafe in Sheridan until they retired because of the health of her husband. She took care of him until he went into the V.A. Medical Center where he died in 1972. She lived the rest of her life in their Sheridan home. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking.
Preceded in death by four sisters Lois Tallman, Letha Simmons, Daisy Jontz and Gertrude Trent; two brothers Lyman Harwood and Luther Harwood.

Parents - Joseph & Bertha (Hunter) Strong
She grew up in Nebraska and Wyoming, graduating from Natrona High School, Casper, WY. She graduated from Nursing School in Sheridan. Elizabeth married Arthur Hansen on October 6, 1938, in Story, WY. After raising her children in Sheridan, she returned to private duty nursing and then worked at Memorial Hospital in Pediatrics until she retired in 1984. She was a member of the Wyoming Nurses Assn. and Theater Guild. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She loved her pet dogs and cats.

Thomas J. Hansen Age 72 of Sheridan, WY
Died Monday, February 12, 2001, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County
Born November 27, 1928, in Shawno, Wisconsin
Parents - Thomas & Alice (Kehoe) Hansen
He grew up and graduated high school in Shawno. Served in the U.S. Army. After the service, he married Evon Peterman in the early 1950's in Wisconsin and soon after they moved to Sheridan where Tom worked at several jobs including Safeway, Police Dept., Champion Funeral Home and Metz Beverage. Evon died in 1971. On March 16, 1972, he married Ethel Reed in Sheridan. Tom worked for Spring Creek Coal and then Decker Coal as a security guard. He retired in the early 1980's. Tom was a member of First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge #43, Kalif Shrine, Eagles and Elks Lodge #520. He enjoyed hunting, fishing. Tom had a great sense of humor and had a knack for making people laugh.
Preceded in death by two sisters Marian Schultz and Marge Schultz.
