Kay Wilbur
A private family graveside service will be held for Kay (Kady) L. Wilbur at Mt. Pisgah cemetery.
Kady, age 63, of Gillette, Wyoming died Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of liver failure.
Kady Wilbur was born on December 8, 1942 in Vernon County, Wisconsin the daughter of Chester and Nola Cade.
On January 29, 1982 she married
John C. Wilbur of Stotard, Wisconsin. In 1990 they moved to Gillette, Wyoming where Kady worked at Dan’s Supermarket.
Kady is survived by her 3 step-children: Mike Wilbur, Forest Schoen and Brenda Gray; 2 brothers: Loren and James Cade both of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John.

Phyllis Brandt
Funeral services for Phyllis Brandt will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Gordon Harper officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the Black Hills National cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.
Phyllis Brandt, age 67, of Rozet, Wyoming died August 23, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Phyllis Faye Brandt was born on July 6, 1937, the daughter of Harry and Melinda (Davis) Fortin in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Phyllis married
Robert S. Brandt on July 9, 1960 in Deadwood, South Dakota.
Phyllis is survived by four sons: Robert S. Brandt, Jr.; Mike (Glenda) Brandt; Mark (Clara) Brandt all of Gillette, Wyoming; Dwight Brown of Grandin, North Dakota; two daughters: Tina (Jay Aune) Brandt of Rozet, Wyoming; Karen (Dave Davis) Brandt of Gillette, Wyoming; her sister, Arlene Loberg of Upton, Wyoming; three brothers: Gary Brown of Casper, Wyoming; Joe Bellamy of Gillette, Wyoming; Marland Brown of Independence, Iowa; fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: Doug, and Duwayne Brown; and one sister, Sharan Brown

Bonnie Sorenson
Funeral services for Bonnie (Berry) Sorenson, 84, of Gillette, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at First Presbyterian Church in Gillette, Wyoming, with Pastor Wright officiating.
Visitation will be Monday January 16, 2006 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming
Bonita "Bonnie" Sorenson, died in peace on January 14, 2006, at 6:00 a.m., surrounded by her family at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital Hospice.
Bonita Katherine Berry was born September 19, 1921, in Alhambra, California, to John Franklin and Lora Davis Berry.
Bonnie spent the first fifteen years of her life in California. She moved with her mother to Rozet, WY in 1936. She was on the State Champion Girls Basketball Team while attending high school in Ranchester, WY.
Bonnie married
Robert C. Sorenson June 28. 1942. They made their home on the family ranch at Wildcat (near Recluse).
Bonnie was an honorary member of the Pleasant Hour Club. She spent many years as a member of the CC (Cheerful Chatter) Club at Wildcat and loved cooking and serving for the dances at the clubhouse. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women and enjoyed her Bible study lunches when her health allowed her to attend.
Bonnie's life at the Sorenson ranch was defined by her exceptional cooking, her legendary hospitality, and her endless and unconditional love and compassion for her family, neighbors and friends.
Bonnie spent the last years of her life in assisted living, Pioneer Manor and in and out of the hospital. She was a favorite patient among the care givers and she greatly appreciated all that they did for her. Bonnie cherished each of her nine grandchildren and also knew and loved each of her eleven great-grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by three sons Robert, Steve and Charles and one daughter Jan Cundy all of Gillette, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her three brothers and her husband Bob in 1999.

Frances "Frankie" McClure
Memorial services for Frances "Frankie" McClure age 88, of Gillette, Wyoming, will be held Thursday, May 19, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, WY, Pastor Andrew Carsrud of the Family Life Church officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Mt. Pisgah cemetery.
Frances “Frankie” Vergith McClure was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 2, 1916, the daughter of Sid and Alma (Larsen) Vergith. She spent three years in Omaha and then with her parents, she moved northwest of Moorecroft, Wyoming. In 1919, they moved to a homestead where they ranched.
Frances went to country grade school thru 8th grade and in the summer of 1933, she met Alfred McClure while he was riding for Harris Land & Livestock where the Wagon Hammer Ranch is now. They were married
in May of 1934 and had two daughters, Billee Hackett of Recluse, Wyoming and Faye DeSoto who is deceased.
They ranched north of Recluse until Alfred passed away in 1990 and Frankie moved to Gillette and resided in Parkview Apartments.
She was a good cook and enjoyed fixing a meal for whoever stopped in. She enjoyed her grandkids, and numerous other children that stayed during the summers. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, wooden ornaments, rug making, her animals, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Pleasant Hour Club.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Billie Hackett of Recluse, WY; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Chuck Vergith, her husband Alfred McClure, and a daughter, Faye DeSoto.

Eilleen Ehrman
Funeral Services for Eilleen Ehrman, age 68, of Upton, Wyoming will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the Upton United Methodist Church in Upton with Pastor Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood cemetery in Upton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Upton United Methodist Church in Upton.
Mrs. Ehrman died on Friday, February 11, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Eilleen Kinnersley was born on May 14, 1936, the daughter of John G. and Mabel (Meehan) Kinnersley Sr. in Dalton, Nebraska. As a small child she moved to Sidney, Nebraska where she was raised and educated. Upon the completion of her schooling she married
and began her family. Eilleen spent her time raising her three children in the Sidney area while working at the Jack and Jill Grocery Store. On June 30, 1975 she married
John Ehrman which brought her to Northeast Wyoming. They moved to Upton, where the couple owned and operated the Western Bar and Café until their retirement.
Eilleen worked part-time at the Red Onion Museum in Upton. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, crocheting and, in her younger years, bowling. One of her favorite pastimes with her husband was playing cards.
Eillen is survived by her mother, Mabel Thompson of Sidney, Nebraska; husband John of Upton, Wyoming; son Ronald (Kathy) Uzel Jr. of Brighton, Colorado; daughter Theresa (Mike) Shannon of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter Diann (Jerry) Steffins of Sydney, Nebraska; two brothers: Ed Kinnersley and Robert Kinnersley both of Sydney, Nebraska; three sisters: Beverly Hinrichs and Rose Walker both of Sydney, Nebraska and Mary Lou Mills of Cumberland, Iowa; six step-children: Debbie Hernandez and Kathy Perez both of Douglas, Wyoming; Donovan Ehrman of Greeley, Colorado; Debbie Adams of Michigan; Tommy Divis Jr. of Nevada; Randy Ehrman of Torrington, Wyoming and numerous grandchildren, great-granchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father John G. Kinnersley Sr. and her brother John G. Kinnersley Jr.

Kurt Smith
Memorial services for Kurt Smith will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the New Life Wesleyan Church in Gillette, Wyoming.
Kurt Smith, age 48, of Gillette, Wyoming, died October 27, 2004 at the Deaconess Clinic in Billings, Montana of complications of a sudden illness.
Kurt Smith was born December 28, 1955, the son of Wayne and Evelyn (Wostenberg) Smith in Worland, Wyoming. He was raised and educated in Laramie, Wyoming, graduating from the Laramie High School in 1974. Upon his graduation, Kurt attended Casper College in Wyoming and graduated with an Associates Degree in Coalfield Technology. After graduating college, Kurt became employed with Carter Mining at the Rawhide Mine in Gillette, Wyoming. On September 16, 1989, Kurt married
Chalene “Cheri” Dubel in Gillette, Wyoming. After nineteen years of employment at the Rawhide Mine, he transferred to the Caballo Mine in 1996 and worked for Powder River Coal until present.
Kurt enjoyed being an outdoorsman: white water rafting, fishing, camping and hiking. He also enjoyed photography, writing, and watching sporting events such as football, basketball and baseball. He loved walking his dogs: Kaycee and Clancey as well as traveling and meeting new people.
Kurt is survived by his parents: Wayne and Evelyn Smith of Reno, Nevada; his wife of fifteen years, Cheri Smith of Gillette, Wyoming; two brothers: Dana and wife, Barbara Smith of Normandy Park, Washington; Denis Smith of Laramie, Wyoming; a sister, Vicki Lebsack of Reno, Nevada; one nephew, Alan Smith; three nieces: Brandy (Smith) Miller; Megan Smith; and Rachel Smith.

James Bailey
A Celebration of Life and family gathering for James Bailey, known to his family and friends as “Jim” will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming.
Jim Bailey, age 63, died October 5, 2004, at his home in Gillette, Wyoming.
James David Bailey was born May 23, 1941 the son of Charles Adam and Ethel Grace (Wilkin) Bailey in Lebanon, Indiana. Jim attended schools in Indiana, where he graduated high school. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1963. He married
Frances Alma on August 18, 1962 in Frankfort, Indiana. Jim worked for Coca-Cola Bottling in Frankfort, Indiana from 1966 to 1978. Jim and his family moved to Gillette, Wyoming on July 1, 1979, where he was employed with Tanks Incorporated and Dresser Atlas. For the past seventeen years until the time of his death, he was employed with Real Estate Systems Incorporated as their maintenance person.
Jim enjoyed sports, fishing, hunting, watching racing of any type on the television. In his younger years, Jim would take the family car to the drag-strip to race. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends; he loved to make trips back to Indiana to see his brother, mother and nieces. He enjoyed collecting antiques, beanie babies, and Coca-Cola and NASCAR memorabilia.
He is survived by his mother, Ethel G. Bailey of Frankfort, Indiana; his wife, Frances Bailey of Gillette, Wyoming; one son, James David Bailey Jr. of Gillette, Wyoming; three daughters: Carol Sherry Bailey; Cassandra Ann Boggess; Jennifer Lynn (White) Kline all of Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Jerry Lee Bailey of Frankfort, Indiana; twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his uncle Howard Wilkin; his aunt Wilma Pennington; and uncle Robert Wilkin.

John Davila Sr.
Funeral service for John Davila Sr. of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Gillette with Father Thomas Kadera officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2005 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, with a Vigil following at 7:00 p.m.
John Davila Sr., age 79, died on Friday, February 25, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of an extended illness.
John Henry Davila Sr. was born on July 13, 1925 in Julesburg, Colorado the son of Manuel and Beatriz (Jimenez ) Davila. He was raised and educated in Julesburg graduating from Sedgwick County High School in Julesburg. On January 23, 1950 he married
Phoebe Sixfeathers in Julesburg, where they lived in Julesburg until 1952. They then moved to Kimball, Nebraska where he worked at Hodges International Implements, and on Hodge’s farm as a farm hand. In 1951 he went to work for Rogers Oil beginning his career in the oil production industry. This became his passion.
In 1961 he moved his family to Gillette, Wyoming and worked for various oil companies (Leumont Drilling, Thompson Drilling, and Shelby Drilling) working as a derrick hand, driller, tool pusher, and superintendent. In 1983 he retired due to Parkinson’s disease.
John Sr. enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his early years his interests included football, track, soccer, and basketball. He was a member of Saint Matthews Catholic Church and was involved with the Knights of Columbus holding various local and state offices. Local offices John held included Grand Knight, District Deputy, Membership Director, Retention Chairman, and Faithful Navigator. State offices John held include State Advocate, State Secretary, and State Treasurer. He was the Knights of Columbus Tootsie Roll Chairman and Director for several years which raised funds for handicap citizens statewide.
John Sr. is survived by his wife Phoebe of Gillette, Wyoming; son, John (Jennifer) Davlia Jr. of Gillette, Wyoming; daughters, Teresa (John) Skinner of Sheridan, Wyoming; Dianah Schlautman of Boonesville Missouri; Deborah (David) Eldridge Sr. of Gillette, Wyoming; Marsha Niemann of Gillette, Wyoming; Mary Shea of Gillette, Wyoming; Beatriz (Mark) Hochnadel of Gillette, Wyoming; Anne (Mark) Snider of Indian Rivers, Michigan;
Danielle (Joe) Spelts of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Davila of Arvada, Colorado; brothers, Raphael (Elsa) Davila of Denver, Colorado; and James (Sandy) Davila of Hunnington Beach, California; sisters, Alice (Leo) Garcia of Hunnington Beach, California; and Theresa Davila of Salinas, California; twenty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Mary Davila, son Manuel Davila and granddaughter Ashlie Snider.
Elvira Thar
Elvira Christina (Halverson) Thar, age 79, passed away on February 19, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on February 23, 2006 at the Blanche Beck Memorial Chapel at Pioneer Manor with visitation being held an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Rozet cemetery in Rozet, Wyoming.
Elvira was born October 25, 1926 in Rozet, Wyoming to Anna Maria Halverson. Elvira attended school in Rozet, Wyoming. She married
Francis J. Thar on June 16, 1963 in Gillette, Wyoming.
She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and will be dearly missed by all. We will have you in our hearts forever. Elvira enjoyed the staff and volunteers at the Pioneer Manor. The love and compassion they gave to Elvira and her family will be missed. She also loved to garden and be on the ranch being a ranch hand.
Elvira is survived by her husband of 43 years, and numerous nieces and nephews in Wyoming, Oklahoma, Texas, and her mother’s native Sweden.
She was preceded in death by her mother, and her sister Marie Trantham.
