Jackie Hillenburg
Jacquiline Ruth Hillenburg, age 72, was born on March 25, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas and passed away on March 3, 2006 in Gillette Wyoming. The daughter of Clinton Guy and Mildred “Butchie” (Chambers) Petty the family lived in South Texas around Corpus Christi and for some time in Brownsville. After a divorce Jackie and her mother returned to San Antonio where Jackie attended grade school and graduated from High School. Her mother then met a man from Deming, NM and they were married
in 1951 and the family made their home in Deming. On July 25, 1952 Jackie married
Edward Lutonsky in Deming, New Mexico, together they had 3 boys; Larry, Terry and Todd. Jackie and Edward divorced in 1970. Jackie provided for herself and boys working as a desk clerk at the Ramada Inn in Deming and later for Elmer Rice at the Lumber Bin. On December 18, 1982 she married
Robert “Casey” Hillenburg and together they made their home in Deming, New Mexico. Jackie worked for several years at Bell and Memorial Elementary Schools in Deming as a teachers aide where she was best known as “Grandma Jackie“, retiring in 2000. She worked with children with developmental disabilities doing arts and crafts. Jackie was an avid artist and loved doing oil paintings and pen and ink drawings. She also very much enjoyed her church while she was able to attend, Alpha Baptist Church in Deming, New Mexico.
Jackie will be missed by 2 sons and their families; Larry and Dianna Lutonsky of Deming, New Mexico and Todd and Cindy Lutonsky of Gillette, Wyoming, and 1 brother, Clinton Guy Petty II of San Antonio, Texas. She will also be missed by her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and her middle son, Terry Lutonsky.

James Stewart
Memorial service for James Stewart will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel Gillette, Wyoming. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
James Douglas “Porky” Stewart, age 67, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
James was born on February 5, 1939 to William and Josephine (Russell) Stewart in Belgrade, Montana. As a young boy Jim attended many different schools around Montana due to his father being transferred with the Northern Pacific Railroad. Jim graduated high school as Willow Creek’s Salutatorian in 1957. After graduation Jim enlisted into the United States Air Force and served 3 years. On June 1, 1958 Jim married
Verna Clark, in Boise, Idaho. The couple made their home in Bozeman, Montana and began their family. For many years Jim worked in various sawmills in Montana and Wyoming. In 1962 they moved to Dubois, Wyoming where James was given the famous nickname “Porkey” even to this day very few know “Porkey” by his given name. In 1975 Jim moved his family to Gillette, Wyoming where he worked at L & H Welding as a machinist. In 1980 he went to work for AMAX Coal, at the Bellaire Mine. Porky retired on December 31, 1999. After his retirement Porkey enjoyed being onery and traveling with the love of his life Verna. Porkey enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his two grandsons.
James is survived by his wife; son Clark Stewart of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Tammy (Mike) Hettinger of Gillette, Wyoming; 2 grandsons: Dusty and Daniel Hettinger of Colorado; several nieces and nephews and 4 brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Candice Tomas; sister Lulabelle and a brother Ordley.

Kyle James Marshall
Memorial Services for Kyle James Marshall will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Gillette, Wyoming on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 1:00 p.m., Corey Johnson will officiate.
Kyle James Marshall, age 16, of Gillette died on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Kyle was born to Brent and Cindy (Aasen) Marshall on May 12, 1989 in Lewiston, Idaho. He attended school in Gillette, but most recently he was being home schooled. Kyle was looking forward to volunteering as a full time minister at The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, also known as Bethel to Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Kyle enjoyed snowboarding, hiking, hunting, working with his horses and above all doing service for Jehovah.
He is survived by his parents, two sisters; Jessica of Gillette and Veronica of Lewiston, ID and one brother, Adam of Lewiston, ID. Kyle is also survived by his maternal grandparents; Jim and Linda Aasen of Clarkstown, WA, his paternal grandmother, Janice Marshall of Pierce, ID, his great-grandmother, Deloris Kelley of Gillette, WY and numerous aunts, uncles, one niece, one nephew and cousins.
Kyle is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Aasen, his paternal grandfather Neal Marshall, great-grandfather, Orvile Kelley and his great-grandparents James and Hope Aasen.

ReGina LeAnn Scott
Funeral services for ReGina “Gina” LeAnn Scott, 36, of Gillette will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Firminhac officiating. Viewing will be Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. She passed away August 18, 2005 due to complications of diabetes.
Gina was born April 4, 1969 at Camp Lejeune, NC to Gary M. and Shirley A. Pettigrew. She moved to Gillette, with her family in August 1969. She was baptized into the Christian faith on April 27, 1969 and confirmed her baptism in 1983. Her Confirmation verse is Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His Righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Gina received her education in Gillette, graduating in 1987 from CCHS and then attended Gillette Campus. Following graduation from high school, she traveled to India with Teen World Outreach to build and orphanage.
On April 26, 1997, she married
Bryon Scott in Gillette. They enjoyed supporting their children at figure skating, ice hockey and The Powder River Symphony.
She is survived by her husband, Bryon, her children Adrienne LeAnn and Garrett Earl, her parents, two brothers Joe Pettigrew (Cheryle) of Tehachapi, CA, Terry Pettigrew (Janell) of Gillette, one sister Dawn Hardy (Nathan) of Gillette and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, one sister, Jacqueline and two nephews. The family wishes to thank her special friend and caregiver, Amber Coats.

Ira Henry Elliott
Ira Henry Elliott, age 44, passed away February 13, 2006 unexpectedly in his home in Gillette. Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday February 20, 2006 at the New Life Wesleyan Church with Charlie Carpenter officiating.
Our beloved father, Ira Henry Elliott was born on February 28, 1961 in Newcastle, Wyoming to Amos C. and Iris M. Elliott.He had a great passion for and loved being with his family and friends.
Ira enjoyed camping, hunting, motorcycling, tattooing and traveling. He lived and worked around Gillette since 1982 for Getter Trucking, Black Hills Trucking, Austin Powder and Viking Explosives.
Ira is survived by 2 daughters: Jenny Rebbecca Elliott from Wright, Wyoming and Pattirriccia Mae Ryan and husband Sean from Elgin, Florida and son, Ira Corrie Elliott from Phoenix, Arizona, 2 grandsons: Quentine Dean Elliott of Wright and Connor Richard Ryan of Florida. He is also survived by his mother; Iris Elliott and step-father Walter Elliott from Newcastle, Wyoming, grandfather; Iris Small of Newcastle, Wyoming, 1 Brother; Jim Elliott of Gillette, Wyoming, 5 sisters; Tina and Stanley Dixon of Newcastle, Wyoming, Amie and Gaylen Hertel of Gillette, Wyoming, Patti and Darren Stoppel of Casper, Wyoming, Nikkie Elliott and Heusein Albdeiri of Wright, Wyoming, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, and 3 grandparents.
He touched numerous lives, was and always will be loved and remembered by all.

John Ray Lower

John Ray Lower, age 36, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005 at his home of unknown causes.
John R. Lower was born on July 5, 1968 the son of Jerry and Dixie (Rhoades) Lower in Valentine, Nebraska and then when he was a toddler the family moved to Douglas, Wyoming with his family. In 1974 the family came to Gillette, Wyoming where John attended school. He worked for Godfathers Pizza until 1985 when he had a severe motorcycle accident that left him disabled for the rest of his adult life. John’s hobbies were listening to music, fishing, being outdoors, watching NASCAR, wrestling and his many collections. He had a firm handshake and a glimmer in his eye and he was best known to everyone as the “caretaker”. John loved talking to people even those that he didn’t know. He spent a lot of time down at the Kum and Go Store and he was always willing to give a helping hand. John loved spending time with his family especially his son Kyle.
John is survived by his mother, Dixie Berland of Gillette, Wyoming; father, Jerry (Pauline) Lower of Riverton, Wyoming; son, Kyle Wagner of Gillette, Wyoming; grandfather, Roy Lower of Valentine, Nebraska; brother, Gerald (Kelli) Lower of Rapid City, South Dakota; three sisters; Debbie (Billy) McGee; Linda (Daniel) Moyer all of Gillette, Wyoming; Wanda (Tim) Bare of Valentine, Nebraska and aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle and best friend.

Kristi Noonan
A Celebration of life will be held in honor of Kristi Noonan on Tuesday, February 21, 2006 beginning at 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Wright Town Hall, in Wright, Wyoming. We will enjoy your presence at our special tribute to Kristi.
Kristi passed away Friday, February 17, 2006 in an auto accident east of Wright where the family had lived since 1986.
Kristina Michelle Noonan, known to her family and friends as Kristi was born in Yuma, Arizona on June 16, 1982, the daughter of Marty and Debbie (Taylor) Noonan. As a young child Kristi moved with her family to Wright, Wyoming. She attended Cottonwood Elementary and Wright Junior Senior High School, graduating in 2000. Kristi was a member of the National Honor Society since the seventh grade. She was active in basketball and volleyball. Kristi coached volleyball for several different seasons and earned her certification for refereeing and would serve as an official for many volleyball matches. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her son, who was the light of her life.
She is survived by her 3 year old son Garrett, parents: Marty and Debbie Noonan of Wright, Wyoming; two brothers: Bob of Wright and Jason of San Diego; paternal grandparents: Pat and Ellie Noonan of Rawlins, Wyoming and maternal grandmother, Helen Blevins of Sacramento, California as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Kristi was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather.

William Donald "Sam" Sampson
Graveside service for “Sam” Sampson will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2004, at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #42. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette, Wyoming is entrusted with the arrangements.
Sam Sampson, age 54, of Upton, Wyoming, died August 17, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of liver failure.
William Donald Sampson, known to his family and friends as “Sam” was born March 10, 1950, the son of Donald Roy and Evelyn Rose (Cote) Sampson in Springfield, Massachusetts. As a child, Sam moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where he completed his education. Upon his schooling, he entered the U.S. Army, serving two tours of Vietnam. He was in the Army for eight years and was disabled upon being honorably discharged in 1976. In 1980, he moved to Yakima, Washington, where he was a charter member of the VVA. In 1993, he moved to Sheridan, Wyoming, it was here he met his wife. The couple married
on April 8, 1995. In 2002, Sam moved to Upton, Wyoming to be closer to his family.
Sam stayed busy as a member of dart ball and bowling leagues. He was also a member of the VFW, the American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans and the Big Horn Mountain Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing, and liked to cook big family meals.
Sam is survived by his mother; his wife of nine years; four sons: Billie Sampson; Brian Sampson; Kenny Sampson all of Yakima, Washington; Kevin Dennis of Sheridan, Wyoming; three daughters: Hazel Ketchum; Tammy Ellenberger both of Yakima, Washington; Deborah McElhiney of Gillette, Wyoming; three brothers: Jeff Sampson of Yakima, Washington; Steve Sampson of Edgewater, Florida; Joe Sampson of Yakima, Washington; two sisters: Lois Senk of Laguna Niguel, California; Linda Forester of Tampa, Florida; and sixteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rose Cote; his father; and one brother, Gregory Sampson.

Richard Bratton
Richard Bratton, age 71, of Gillette, Wyoming, died Thursday, October 14, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of pancreatic cancer.
Richard Waldo Bratton, Dick, was born February 28, 1933, the son of Ralph Waldo and Madeleine Edna (Baker) Bratton in Basin, Wyoming. He attended rural school and graduated from Basin High School in 1951. Dick served in the United States Marine Corps from January 1956 to January 1959. He received many honors while serving his country, including Battalion Honor Man in Boot Camp and good conduct medals. He was grateful to be a part of the flag raising honor guard on the opening of the Greater New Orleans Bridge over the Mississippi River in 1958. After receiving an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Dick continued his education and played for the Montana State College Basketball Team in Bozeman, Montana. On February 8, 1959, he married
his devoted wife, Alice Walk Peckham at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Billings, Montana. Together they raised three children, Richard, Randall and Beth while living in the communities of Custer, Lead and Newcastle, Wyoming.
Dick’s employment with Black Hills Power and Light spanned forty-four years, moving him to Lead, Custer, Newcastle and Gillette. During his employment, he was district manager and Wyoming area manager in charge of public relations. He was dedicated to improving and expanding the economic development of mineral and natural resources.
Dick’s desire to serve and help develop each community in which he lived was apparent by the multitude of committees, boards, campaigns, and charities on which he served. He enjoyed his involvement in Jaycees, Rotary, Lions, Chamber of Commerce, and Kiwanis Club. He was active in economic development, higher educational opportunities and the Episcopal Church. He served on the State of Wyoming’s Department of Education Goals Committee, Wyoming Coal Information Committee, Campbell County Land Board, Military Services Academies Appointment Screen Committee, Campbell County Health Care Foundation, Senator Mike Enzi’s State Campaign Chairman, Campbell County Economic Development Board, and the Campbell County Optional Sales Tax Committee. Recently, Dick served on the Citizen’s Coinage Advisory Committee to advise the U.S. Secretary of Treasury on theme and design issues for the “Lewis and Clark” nickel.
Dick truly lived his life to the fullest, enjoying his travels with family and friends across the United States and abroad. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in sporting events and monitoring their academics. Dick was a wonderful story-teller and enjoyed laughter with his friends. He loved singing in the church choir and leading everyone in “God Bless America.” Also, Dick enjoyed raising his flags in honor of all Americans, but especially in honor of the men and women fighting to protect the United States of America.
Dick has touched many peoples’ hearts through his kindness, integrity and patriotism. His major priorities during his lifetime were his wife, Alice, their three children and eight grandchildren. Dick is survived by his wife, Alice Bratton of Gillette; his three children and families - Dick (Lisa) Bratton of Casper, Wyoming, Randy (Nicky) Bratton of Gillette, Wyoming and Beth (Larry) Tocci of Billings, Montana; his eight grandchildren – Richie Bratton, Jessica Bratton, Mackenzie Bartsch, Shea Bartsch, Sierra Bartsch, Caitlin Tocci, Jake Bratton and Rhett Bratton; his sister Carolyn Finley of Rapid City, South Dakota and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his sister Imogene McClain.

Memorial services for Richard Waldo Bratton, known to his family and friends as “Dick,” age 71, of Gillette, Wyoming, will be at 1:30 pm Monday, October 18, 2004 at the Cam-plex Heritage Center with Reverend Jim McConnell of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church of Gillette and The Very Reverend Marilyn Engstrom of the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church of Laramie, Wyoming officiating. Military honors are provided by the U.S. Marine Honor Guard. As Dick requested, inurnment will take place at a later date in the Black Hills National cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. It is requested by Dick’s family that the attire be that of the Red, White, and Blue. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette, Wyoming is entrusted with the arrangements.
Toni Sander
Memorial services for Toni Michele Sander of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2005 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Ralph Reed officiating.
Toni Michele Sander, age 43, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital from complications of pneumonia.
Toni M. Sander was born on November 23, 1961, at Hill Air Force base in Layton, Utah on Thanksgiving Day the daughter of Jim and Barbara (Tucker) Chatfield. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1979 in Montrose, Colorado. Toni married
Allen Sander on July 27, 1984 in Gillette, Wyoming. She was an exceptional mother. Toni was very active in the Boy Scouts at the local and district levels, and she worked to help with Merit Badge University and Boy Scout Day Camp every year. Toni worked for Burger King in Gillette for at least 12 years. In keeping with her generous nature and the way she lived her life, she gave the gift of life to many others though the donations of her organs.
Toni is survived by her husband, Allen Sander of Gillette, Wyoming; two sons, Michael and Jeffery Sander of Gillette, Wyoming; mother, Barbara (Burt) Metcalf of Montrose, Colorado; father, Jim (Thelma) Chatfield of Aurora, Colorado; two sisters, Pam Morrill of Cortez, Colorado and Jenny Davis of Gillette, Wyoming; one step brother; three step sisters; maternal grandparents Earl and Margaret Tucker of Big Water, Utah; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to benefit her family.
