Leland "Lee" Kaul
Funeral Services for Leland Kaul, known to his family and friends as “Lee,” will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Leland Kaul, age 54, of Gillette, Wyoming, died Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of a long term illness.
Leland Lee Kaul Sr. was born April 9, 1950, the son of Gerold and Maxine (Whetham) Kaul in Lynch, Nebraska. In 1968, Lee graduated from Newcastle High School in Newcastle, Wyoming. During high school, Lee was a Boy Scout of America, an honorary member of Demolay, and in the National Honor Society. He attended two years at Chadrin College in Nebraska and in 1991, received a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Regis University. On June 3, 1972, Lee married
Beatriz Garcia in Tucson, Arizona. While in Arizona, Lee managed the Jack In The Box Restaurant. The couple returned to Newcastle, Wyoming, where he managed the Tesoro Truck Stop and Cafe for his parents. In October of 1978, he moved to Gillette, Wyoming where he managed Shakeys Restaurant, then Long John Silvers. He was employed with General Electric as a truck driver, and also worked on haul trucks for the mines. Lee moved to sales, working for General Electric for over 20 years, retiring due to health problems.
Lee was a member of Jaycees in Newcastle; he enjoyed watching NASCAR and pro football on television. Broncos were his favorite team. Lee also liked to read, and taught himself how to run a computer. Lee also was a big family man. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Lee was the kind of person who never knew a stranger and never had a loss of words.
Lee is survived by his grandfather, Robert Whetham of Newcastle, Wyoming, his mother, Maxine (Whetham) Kaul of Newcastle, Wyoming; his wife, Beatriz Kaul of Gillette, Wyoming; three sons: Jeffrey Kaul; Leland Kaul both of Gillette, Wyoming; Gerold (Melissa) Kaul of Englewood, Colorado; two brothers: Greg (Debbie) Kaul of Houston, Texas; Kelly (Elaine) Kaul of Gillette, Wyoming; one sister, Janet (Jim) Williamson of Gillette, Wyoming; four grandchildren with one on the way: Cody, Colton, Selina and Jasmine; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerold “Mort” Kaul, uncles, and grandmother.

Juanita Mae Bramhall
Juanita Mae Bramhall, age 73, of Miles City, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Deaconess Hospital in Billings following a sudden illness.
Juanita was born in Manderson, Wyoming on June 12, 1932, the daughter of Eugene Stanley and Charlotte (Sheldon) Boyd. She attended school in Manderson and married
Robert Bramhall on September 29, 1947 at Casper, Wyoming. They made their home in Meeteetse, Wyoming before moving to Basin, Wyoming. They remained in Basin until 1991, when they moved to Miles City where they have made their home since.
Juanita received her brown belt in Karate in 1990. She enjoyed being with children and helped run Sunshine Bible Club spreading God’s love. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Robert Bramhall of Miles City, MT; two sons: Robert Bramhall and his wife Ana of Piscataway, NJ; and John Bramhall and his wife Janie of Santa Fe, NM; a brother, Wayne Rettinghouse of Riverton, WY; a special niece, Carol Ann Lucas and a special granddaughter, Janelle; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: William and John; and a son Stanley in 1952.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will be held on Friday, July 1, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Deaver cemetery in Deaver, Wyoming.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
Francis "Bub" Williams
Funeral services for Francis "Bub" Williams, age 74, of Gillette will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at the Central Baptist Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Russell Bode officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming, with full Military honors provided by the American Legion Post #42. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at the Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home from 3-7.
Mr. Williams died Sat. Sept. 24, 2005 at his home in Gillette of cancer
Francis Orrie Williams was born the son of Orrie and Josephine (Wright) Williams on June 23, 1931 in East Hickory, Pennsylvania. He was raised and educated in East Hickory. Upon his schooling, Francis entered the Army serving in the Korean Conflict. Francis was honorably discharged in 1953 and returned home to Pennsylvania. On June 15, 1957, Francis married
Betty Gage in Russell, Pennsylvania. Francis went to work for MRC-TRW where he worked for over twenty five years, retiring in 1992. After his retirement Francis and Betty moved to Gillette. Here he worked the last twelve years at the local McDonalds a job he very much enjoyed as he worked until his health would no longer allow. Francis enjoyed snowmobiling, watching TV and hunting when he lived in Pennsylvania. He was a member of AARP, UAW, the American Legion and the Moose Lodge, both Pennsylvania chapters.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 48 years; six sons and their wives: Duane Williams of Nasuha, Montana, Daniell Williams of Gillette, Wyoming, Doyle Williams of Warren, Pennsylvania, Dana Williams of Gillette, Wyoming, Darrin Williams of Warren Pennsylvania, Dwight “Joe” Williams of Wright, Wyoming; one daughter and her husband, Donna Nelson of Clarendon, Pennsylvania; two foster sons: Bob Smith of Hibbins, Minnesota and Daniel “Burt” Anthony of Russell, Pennsylvania; one brother Maynard Williams of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania; one sister, Betty (Walter) Abbott of Jamestown, New York ; twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Joy Johnson and two brothers: Gilbert and Delbert Williams.
Louis C. Reed, Jr.
Louis C. Reed Jr., age 82, passed away February 5, 2006, of natural causes at Pioneer Manor in Gillette, Wyoming. Services will be held Saturday February 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, Gillette, Wyoming with Kenna Lou Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, February 10, 2006 from 3-7 p.m. at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Louis C. Reed Jr. was born March 21, 1923 the son of Louis and Harriet (Felton) Reed in Guthrie, Okalahoma, where his mother traveled to give birth. Jr. was raised on the Reed homestead and educated in Campbell County. Upon his High School graduation Jr. began college at the University of Wyoming. After completing his college courses Jr. returned to Gillette to ranch with his parents.
Louis married
Ethel Sams on April 6, 1946. The couple leased farming ground from Bill Scott where they lived while raising their children Robert and Ralph. The couple later divorced. Jr. then went to work on the I-90 interstate between Buffalo and Gillette. He also worked for Farmers Coop and operated the Gulf service station. On November 11, 1968 he married
Pat Worley. Together with Pat’s 4 sons they moved to the Reed homestead and Jr. began working for McCullough Gas Plant. After retiring, he continued operating the family ranch. The couple later divorced. Due to failing health, Jr. resided at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home the past 3 years.
Jr. was active in 4-H while growing up. He enjoyed hunting, raising and showing goats. He was also a 4-H leader for the Wildcat 4-H club.
Survivors include 2 sons; Robert Reed of Sheridan, Wyoming, Ralph Reed of Rowlett, Texas, 4 stepsons; Frank, Nyle, and Byron Nelson of Gillette, Wyoming and John Nelson of Riverton, Wyoming, 1 granddaughter, and twelve step grandchildren.
Jr. was preceded in death by his parents.

Leon Wandler
A prayer service for Leon Wandler will be at 5:00 pm on Wednesday June 30, 2004 at Saint Matthew’s Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Tom Kadera officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Saint Matthew’s Family Life Center and Leon’s family extends an invitation to join them for a meal and time of fellowship.
Leon passed away on Saturday June 19, 2004 at the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette, Wyoming.
Leon Edward Wandler was born July 26, 1932 the son of John and Rozella (Maixner) Wandler on the family farm in Hettinger County, North Dakota. The first few years of his life, were spent on the farm in North Dakota. From there, his parents moved to Spokane, Washington, to find work during the depression. His mother died in 1938, leaving seven children. Grandma Maixner took the two youngest children to her home in New England, North Dakota. In 1943, she brought the rest of the children to North Dakota, when their father could no longer care for them. The Maixner grandparents and the aunts and uncles took all the children and loved and cared for them from then on. Leon attended high school at the Assumption Abbey in Richardton, North Dakota. His favorite pass time there was skipping school and going fishing. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. While attending Wahpeton State School of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota, he met Betty Dubuque. They married
on July 8, 1957 and lived a month in Grand Forks before moving to Glendive, Montana. In 1963, with two small children, Leon and Betty moved to Gillette, Wyoming. In 1964, Leon and Hank Barney purchased a machine shop and named it L&H Welding and Machine Company. Leon prospered during the good years in the oil patch and built and moved into a new shop in 1982. He loved his work and made many good friends over all the years.
Leon is survived by his wife; Betty Wandler of Rozet, Wyoming, five children: Ann Sherwood of Powell, Wyoming; Lee Wandler; Laura Roush; Jeff Wandler; and Mike Wandler all of Gillette, Wyoming; one sister, Patricia Wandler of Santa Barbara, California; two brothers: Donald Wandler of Racine, Wisconsin; Jack Wandler of Billings, Montana; eleven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rick and two sisters: Loretta and Joan.
A memorial has been established in Leon’s name to benefit the Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of Gillette, Wyoming or a charity of one’s choice.

James "Dick" Mankin
Funeral services for Dick Mankin, 78, of Gillette will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at New Life Wesleyan Church, with Kenna Lou Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Mr. Mankin died Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of cancer.
James R. "Dick" Mankin was born August 22, 1927 to Charles Ashford and Teresa Mildred (Oxford) Mankin in Gillette, Wyoming. His elementary school years were at the New Hope School, and Bundy School, in rural Campbell County. He graduated from Campbell County High School in May 1945. On April 9, 1946, he married
Ruth Ridenour, and they lived south of Gillette on the Mankin Ranch.
Dick was involved in the rodeo circuit for 25 years, in the calf / team roping events, and found the time to play trumpet in local bands for over 18 years. Among many of his interests, he enjoyed bowling and trapshooting, winning many local and state titles along the way. He was a lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, past president of the Gillette Gun Club and Gillette Men’s Bowling Association.
For over 50 years, Dick guided many deer and antelope hunts. His proudest achievement was being an Official Measurer for the Boone and Crockett Club, and the Pope and Young Club, since 1957. Other interests include horseshoe pitching, artifact hunting, farming and ranching.
Mr. Mankin is survived by his wife of 60 years; four sons, John of Athens, TN; Jerry, Gene and Jim of Gillette; one daughter, Jannelle Mankin-Mills of Gillette; one sister, Alice Lee Christensen of Gillette; one brother, Charles D. of Gillette; ten grandchildren; two great grand-children, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, James Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to benefit the Campbell County Healthcare Foundation, for Hospice House.

John A. Mankin
Memorial services for John A. Mankin of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2005, at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
John Mankin passed away July 11, 2005, in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his family at his side.
John A. Mankin was born April 16, 1922, in Gillette, Wyoming, at the family home, 602 South Emerson. He was the youngest child of Adrian and Alice Mankin. John attended Gillette Grade School and Campbell County High School. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School, Scottsbluff, Nebraska, in 1941. He was a member of the 1941 State Basketball team of Scottsbluff High School. This was the first time a Scottsbluff team had won a state championship. John joined the U.S. Naval Air Force during World War II. He served aboard the USS Enterprise as a tail gunner on Dive Bombers (SPD). He saw action in the Pacific with Task Force 58 and was in the Battle of Midway. His plane and two others made three direct hits on a Japanese Carrier and sank it. He was awarded an Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross. John and Aline Haight were married
April 18, 1947, in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Two children were born to this union, daughter, Karen, and son, Randy. After John was discharged, he attended the University of Wyoming. He was a member of the 1948 NCAA Championship basketball team. He still has his watch and medallion. He later graduated from Chadron State Teachers College. John taught at Campbell County High School for twenty three years. He began in 1956 with sixteen teachers and four grades in the high school. He taught shop, P.E., and was Athletic Director for several years. He was assistant coach of the 1958 State High School Basketball Championship team. He started the golf program at the school and continued his interest in golf. He retired from teaching in 1979, and began spending his winters in Scottsdale, Arizona. John was also a farmer and rancher for forty-one years. His ashes will be scattered on this land. John took an active interest in many community affairs. He was a member of the Gillette Lions Club, a charter member of the Gillette Golf Club.
John is survived by his wife, Aline, one daughter: Karen Hayden of Casper, Wyoming; and one son: Randy of Scottsdale, Arizona; one sister: Opal Fulkerson of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; four grandchildren, three great grand-daughters, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeanne M. Bing
A Celebration of life for Jeanne M. Bing will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 25, 2004 at the St. Matthews Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Hospice Chaplain Paul Kearby and Father Karl Millis officiating.
Jeanne Bing, age 61, of Gillette, Wyoming, died June 21, 2004 at her home in Gillette.
Jeanne Marie Bing was born July 14, 1942 the daughter of Thomas Joseph and Jean Virginia (Campbell) Daley in Boston, Massachusetts. Jeanne was raised and educated in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts where as a child she participated in dance and was a big part of the Catholic Youth Organization. She graduated from high school in 1960. During high school, she worked for the Jordan-Marsh Department Store. Upon her graduation, she became employed at the New England Phone Company and continued to work at the department store part time. In 1963, she married
Wesley Levi Cooper II. Two children were born of this union. The couple later divorced. On June 21, 1969, Jeanne married
William Kenneth Bing in San Jose, California. While in California, she became active in the Cub Scouts. While living in San Jose, Jeanne started a daycare out of her home. In 1978, the couple moved to Gillette, Wyoming. Here, Jeanne began work for the Campbell County School District, working at Lakeview Elementary School in the lunchroom. This was a reflection of her love for the children as she worked there for 22 years until her retirement in 2002. During the later part of her career, after William retired, Jeanne enjoyed her job that much more as William volunteered at Lakeview in the kitchen cooking and helping with the dishes. This was precious time to Jeanne. William died in 1998 and this was their time in place of their retirement years. On June 21, 2004, Jeanne and William would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
Jeanne enjoyed crafts, photo albums, and anything homemade. She loved to collect teddy bears and thimbles, and also traveling. Jeanne got the most out of life by giving rather than receiving and wished to do more so anonymously. She was elated by the birth of her children and they were the joy of her life as were her grandbabies.
She is survived by her mother; Jeanne Daley of Hull and Hingham, Massachusetts; one son, Wesley Cooper of Gillette, Wyoming; one daughter, Kelly (Scott) Salveson of Melbourne, Florida; one stepdaughter, Robin Bing Hernandez of San Jose, California; her mother-in-law, Trula Venton of Gillette, Wyoming; one brother, Thomas Daley of Townsend, Massachusetts; and two sisters, Karen Risso of Hull, Massachusetts and Toby Ann Smith of Phoenix, Arizona, three grandchildren, Tiffany Miller of New Baltimore, Michigan, Tonya Salveson of Melbourne, Florida and Chanel Nilumol of San Jose, California and one great grandchild, Hannah of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; and a very dear friend of four years, William Boyce.

Allen Patz, Sr
Funeral services for Allen Patz, Sr. of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Morgan of the High Plains Community Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #42. Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 42 of Gillette.
Allen Patz, age 60, passed away of natural causes on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at his home.
Allen was born in Marinette, Wisconsin on January 22, 1946 the son of Albert and Ella (Kobus) Patz. He was raised in Pound, Wisconsin and educated in Coleman, Wisconsin. He lived and worked on a dairy farm until he left for the United States Air Force on January 25, 1965. Allen served a large part of his service in Sundance, Wyoming which he loved. Upon his completion of his tour of duty he returned to Sundance where he worked for various ranches around the area and cooked at the ARO Café where he met Judy Marie (Bock). The couple married
on September 19, 1971 and moved to the Arlidge Ranch outside of Upton, Wyoming where they worked for two years. From there they moved to the Dick Durfey Ranch where they worked one year before moving to the Daly Ranch in august of 1974 where he remained until his death. Al and Judy were blessed with a son, Allen C. Patz Jr. and two daughters: Angela and Marji Patz. 2005 was a year of great joy as he welcomed Bobbie Lynn (Smith) Patz into the family, got his first new pick-up and shot his first elk, on top of making many new friends in the Medicine Bow, Wyoming area and spending quality time with old friends. Al enjoyed horses, hunting, roping, rodeos and dutch oven cooking. Al’s greatest love was for his family and received great joy from watching them succeed.
Allen is survived by his wife, Judy Marie Patz of Gillette, Wyoming; son, Allen C.(Bobbie) Patz Jr. of Wright, Wyoming; daughter, Angela Sue Patz of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter, Marji Jo Patz of Medicine Bow, Wyoming; mother, Ella Patz of Pound, Wisconsin; brother, Lawrence Patz of Upton, Wyoming and one grandson, Devon Chase Brogdan of Eaton, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Patz.

Zachary Childs
Two memorial services will be held for Zachary Childs, known to his family and friends as “Zach.” The first service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 4, 2004, at the Wright Baptist Church in Wright, Wyoming with Pastor Clay Alexander officiating. The second memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at the United Methodist Church in Torrington, Wyoming with Pastor Ora Dailey officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming.
Zach Childs, age 23, of Wright, Wyoming died September 29, 2004, in Wright, Wyoming of injuries sustained in a work related accident.
Zachary Blue Childs was born January 21, 1981, the son of Steve and Kathy (Blue) Childs in Torrington, Wyoming. Zach was raised and educated in Torrington, graduating from Torrington High School in 1999. He attended Eastern Wyoming College and received his associate’s degree in Applied Science for welding in 2001. After college, Zach moved to Wright, Wyoming to work for Brazier Mine Construction until the time of his death. He married
Valerie Schlidt on July 30, 2004, in Gillette, Wyoming.
Zach’s passion was being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed family gatherings.
Zach is survived by his wife, Valerie of Wright, Wyoming; a son, Blake Childs of Wright, Wyoming; his step-son, Jordan Parsons of Gillette, Wyoming; his parents: Steve and Kathy Childs; his grandparents: Gerald and Dolores Childs; and Lyle and Phyllis Blue all of Torrington, Wyoming; his great grandmother, Oleta Keim of Torrington, Wyoming; a brother, Evan Childs; two sisters: Molly and Libby Childs, all of Torrington, Wyoming; mother and father-in-law: Gary and Vicky Schlidt of Wright, Wyoming; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one uncle, Paul Blue.
