The family moved to Sheridan when he was a young boy and he attended schools in Sheridan. Everett married Florence Lucile Hublitz on May 2, 1939, in Hardin, MT. During W.W.II , he served in the U.S. Army in the Europe and Theatre of Operations. He returned to Sheridan after the war. The couple moved to Riverton in 1957 where he worked as a truck driver and for Wind River Ready Mix for many years. He was a 40 year member of the V.F.W. Post #3628 in Riverton. He enjoyed camping and fishing. They enjoyed spending several winters in Nevada and Arizona.

He graduated from Hanna-Elk Mtn. High School. He was employed by the Rose Bud Coal Co. in Hanna and worked there for 18 years. He married Mary Shurter on September 28, 1974 in Hanna, Wyoming.
He had management positions at Hanna Automotive and Elk Mtn. Conoco and Rose Bud Coal Co. for many years. He worked at the West Park Mobile Home Community in Sheridan for several years after moving here. He retired and they moved to Sheridan in August of 1993. Hank loved spending time with his family and friends, he also loved hunting, fishing and all sports and was on the Hanna City Basketball team and also refereed basketball.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral Service will be Friday October 13, 2000 at 1pm from at the Grace Lutheran Church in Hanna, Wyoming with Rev. William Heine officiating.

Life long Sheridan resident, Alberta "Susian" Wondra, 75, passed away on December 2, 2000, at Westview Health Care Center.
On October 25, 1925, Susian was born to Mabel (McCuen) and Albert "Pot" Goodmay in Sheridan, Wyoming. On December 5, 1946, she married William Wondra in Hardin, Montana.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed camping in the Big Horns with her family and friends. Her genuine love for people involved her inactivities helping others. She acquired thousands of hours of volunteer work at hte VA Hospital in Sheridan and had many years of active membership int he Dayton Benefit Club. She not only surrounded herself with her immediate family, but embraced many others throughout her life. She had a great love for animals, especially her dogs and stray cats from around the neighborhood. Her door "was always open and there was always room for one more."
She was preceded in death be her husband, William F. Wondra; her parents, Pot and Mabel Goodmay and her brother James Goodmay. She is survived by two daughtes, Linda Kinter and Penny Wondra of Sheridan; two sons, Al Yalowizer of Sheridan and Bill "BG" Wondra of dayton; three grandchildren, Jamie Berg of Sheridan, Fred Kinter of Malden, Washington and Chris Kinter of Seattle, Washington and one great grand child, Sydney Kaupang of Sheridan.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wedensday, December 6, 2000, 10am, at Kane Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Logan officiating. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Dog and Cat Shelter of the Homeless Shelter, care of kay Roush, First Federal Savings Bank, P.O. Box 6007, Sheridan, WY, 82801.
Norma Rozella Wren, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2000, at the Memorial Hospital of Sheridan, at the age of 90.
Norma was born on January 1, 1910, in Custer, South Dakota, to James Vincent and Hazel Snider McGovern. At the age of 2 years, they moved to Big Horn, Wyoming where she lived all her school years, graduating from Sheridan High School and taking postgraduate classes for two years, receiving her teaching certificate. She taught at Red Butte, Kleenburn, and Ranchester schools before marrying George Wren on June 18, 1933 in Sheridan. They had one son, George Edward.
At the start of World War II, they moved to California where they stayed for 12 years. Due to her health, they came back and along with her mother and father, they bought and operated the Little Horn Trading Company in Wyola, Montana. After selling the store, they moved to Sheridan, where she has lived since her death.
Preceding Norma in death are her parents; her husband George; and two sisters, Connie Coast and Letha Mae McGovern; and brother Harold McGovern.
Survivors include her son George Edward Wren of Dallas, Texas; her sister Darlene Hollingsworth of Sheridan; three grandchildren, Mark, Jeffrey, and Robert Wren; 4 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ida Wright, lifelong Sheridan resident, died on September 18, 2000 after a long illness. She will be missed by many.
Ida Alice Wright was born on March 9, 1916 in York, Nebraska to Clara and Charles W. "Doc" Edmunds. The family later moved to the Sheridan area where Ida resided the rest of her life.
Ida attended Sheridan schools and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1934. Ida married William Denver Wright on May 13, 1936 in Rock Springs, WY where they lived until moving their family to Sheridan. Bill Wright died on May 19, 1969.
Besides raising her family, Ida was employed in Sheridan for Sheridan Printing, for Farmer's Co-op and also worked for many years in local insurance offices and accounting firms.
Upon retirement, Ida took the opportunity to do some traveling with friends. She especially enjoyed her trips to Hawaii, and an exciting excursion to Spain. The Big Horn mountains were a favorite place of Ida's, she loved spending time at her cabin both in the summer and the winter. She enjoyed snow machining, entertaining friends and family at the cabin, and long walks in the mountains. Ida also enjoyed playing bridge and pinochle and was active in several card groups during her retirement years. Ida was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the First Christian Church.
Ida was preceded in death by her husband William D. Wright in 1969 and her sister Willa York in 1978. She is survived by her children Richard E. Wright, C. Thomas Wright, William D. Wright and Mary A. Hamilton all of Sheridan. She is also survived by a niece Sara York Kenny of Nebraska and a nephew Marcus York of Sheridan. Ida enjoyed her 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Champion Funeral Home on September 22, 2000 at 10am with Reverend Doug Goodwin officiating.

Justine Wright Age 97 of Sheridan, WY
Died Thursday, September 7, 2000, in Sheridan Manor
Born May 4, 1903, in Coshocton, Ohio
Parents - Jason "Jay" and Tally (Lacey) Abbott
She grew up and attended schools Coshocton. She worked at Ransom's Dept. Store and J.C. Penney for many years in Coshocton. She was married to Carl S. McKenzie, Harold Rucker and C.R. "Pete" Wright all of whom preceded her in death. Following here marriage to C.R. Wright on June 6, 1949, she moved to Kingman, Arizona, where she lived until 1989 when she moved to Sheridan to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Ester McKenzie. She visited Kingman each year as long as she was able. Justine was a member of Eastern Star, Mohave County Arizona Historical Society and St. John's United Methodist Church in Kingman. She enjoyed baking and made untold numbers of cookies and cakes.
Preceded in death by brother Zara "Bud" Abbott, sister Blanche Abbott and grandson Michael McKenzie.

Claire L. Yorks Age 82 of Sheridan, WY

Parents - LeRoy & Mildred (Nietmann) Calkins
Claire grew up and graduated from high school in Sheridan. She moved to Seattle, WA, and worked building aircraft at Boeing during W.W.II. In Seattle, she met Samuel Yorks and they were married in Portland, OR, on April 29, 1944. After the war, they lived in Seattle where she worked as a secretary. Later they moved to Portland and Claire attended Portland State University and graduated with a degree in Social Work. After graduating, she went to work for the State of Oregon were she worked hard to help the disadvantage. Because of her hard work, she received glowing letters of appreciation from the State administrators for her tireless efforts. She retired in 1982 and then in 1984 they moved to Sheridan. Sam died in 1996. As a member of the Literacy Volunteers, Hospital Aux. and the Animal Shelter Board, she continued her care for people and animals. She was also a member of the Am. Assoc. of University Women, Civic Theatre Guild, Carriage House Aux., & the Creative Fiber Guild. Claire enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing, hiking and snow machining. She also enjoyed sewing, needlework & stain glass work. She loved traveling and caring for animals especially her cats.
Preceded in death by one sister Laura Pelesky.

Doris P. Alexander of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County at the age of 83.
Mrs. Alexander was born on January 14, 1917, in Littleton, Colorado, to Amy Estelle (Stookey) and William Frederick Pettow. As a child she attended schools in Littleton and graduated from Littleton High School. In 1935 she was united in marriage to Chester C. Alexander in Littleton, Colorado. Together they had two sons, Donald and Gary Alexander. After Chester's death in 1958 Doris retured to school and graduated from Colorado State College wiht a degree in teaching. She was employed as a libraian for School District Number 6 in Colorago for twenty years. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and watching the Denver Broncos. She moved to Sheridan from Greeley, Colorado in October of 1997.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Chester; her son, Gary and three sisters, Eloise, Irma and Neva.
She is survived be her son Don Alexander and his wife Lori of Sheridan.
