James "Jim" Sullivan
James “Jim” Sullivan, age 65, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home in Gillette.
Upon his request no services are being held.
Jim Sullivan is survived by his son, James (Joyce) Sullivan of Waterloo, Iowa; son, Scott (Sandy) Sullivan of Riceville, Iowa; daughter, Dorothy (Scott) Hess of Cedar Falls, Iowa; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, father and one sister.

Montez Steinberger
A Mass of Christian Burial for Montez Steinberger will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Tom Kadera officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming.
Montez Beatrice Carter Steinberger was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 30, 1922, the daughter of Thomas Jackson and Mary Opal (Tidwell) Carter in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. At the age of two, the family moved to the cotton fields of North East Texas. A year later, Montez was blessed with a little sister; the family lived in this area until grade school when she attended Ector School and was very active in the Southern Baptist Church. The family moved 75 miles west to the oil fields, and this is where she grew up. Montez graduated at the top of her class, with honors in state competition in studies and sports. Two weeks later Montez married
her best friend, Albert Steinberger on June 13, 1939. Beatrice became a homemaker, sewing and ironing for people to earn extra money. For the first 45 years of marriage, Albert worked in the oil fields or in the Air Force so the family moved frequently until their two children, Maxine and Merwyn Wayne started school. The family settled into the community church and became very active. The family made many friends around the U.S.A., Mexico and Canada it was a good education for the whole family. Montez fought cancer for 13 years and had her third surgery at the age of 28 that was a success. Since her family has grown up, she has worked as a tupper ware manager for 12 years. She loved the people she came into contact with, but quit to devote more time to her husband, grandchildren, community service P.T.A. Homemakers Club, 4-H, Girl Scouts, which she spent 12 years volunteering her time, and catechism for 24 years. She was a member of the National Council of Catholic Women, lifetime member of Hospital auxiliary, 40 weekly 36 year member of Beta Signa Phi, 30 year Does Lodge, and Relay for Life.
Her hobbies were family camping, hunting, fishing, sports, and square dancing for 5 years. Montez and her husband had a busy and loving marriage for 60 and a half years; their home was always full of young people.
Montez is survived by her sister, Edna Carter of Gillette, Wyoming; her daughter, Maxine Heigis of Gillette, Wyoming; three grandchildren: Corinna Knighten of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Gary Wayne Steinberger and Jenna Hoehnes of Kingman, Arizina; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Steinberger in 1978; her loving husband of 61 years, Albert Steinberger in 1999 and one son-in-law, Don Heigis in 2000.

Donald Ellis Bennor
Funeral services for Donald Bennor, known to his family and friends as “Ellis,” will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 6, 2004, at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Gordon Harper officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2004, at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming.
Donald Ellis Bennor was born June 28, 1923, the son of Daniel and Elsie (Johnson) Bennor near Gillette, Wyoming.
Ellis Bennor, age 81, of Gillette, Wyoming, died October 30, 2004, in Colorado Springs, Colorado of natural causes. From childhood to retirement, he worked as a rancher and farmer. In addition, he was a rural mail contractor for twenty-three years, first on the Recluse and Barlow Routes and later on the Savageton Route. Ellis was a lifelong Campbell County resident. Except for a few years in his early adulthood, he has lived his entire life within a hundred yards of his birthplace.
Ellis was an active member in the Farm Bureau and National Star Route Mail Contractors Association. He enjoyed antique farm equipment and attended many shows. In 1997, he restored his 1950 Minneapolis Moline and showed it off at the Black Hills Steam and Gas Threshing Bee near Sturgis, South Dakota. He was interested in many things and read widely. He was a committed and active patriot; Ronald Reagan was his hero. Ellis loved to find fun in everyday activities in life, and was a terrific storyteller.
Ellis is survived by his son, Clifford Bennor of Gillette, Wyoming; his daughter, Lucy Bush of Rapid City, South Dakota; his grandson, Jason Bush of Lead, South Dakota; his brother, Morris Bennor, and his sister, Ruth Ward, both of Gillette, Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and both wives: Joy Lynn Davenport and Crystal Edson.

Edith Happs
Funeral services for Edith Happs of Gillette, Wyoming will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at the Blanche Beck Memorial Chapel in Pioneer Manor in Gillette, with Deacon David Bradberry of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Black Hills National cemetery in Sturgis, S.D. Visitation will be held Monday, July 11, 2005 from 3 until 7 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Happs, age 73, died Friday, July 8, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Edith Mae Happs was born on January 3, 1932 in Keokuk, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Pearl (Cooper) Eichelberger. As a young child she moved onto a farm in Missouri near Wayland, Missouri. She would gather eggs, get the kindle and firewood, wash the dishes, feed the chickens, carry in the water, work in the garden, and do other farms work. All of these were chores she did as a child and as she grew older, she canned food, washed clothes on the washboard and milked the cows which taught her strong work ethic that she passed onto her own children. As a child, Edith loved to play baseball, dominos, checkers, Chinese checkers, and hide the thimble. As a teenager, Edith enjoyed being a member of the 4-H Club, going to town with her parents, going to free movies, and visiting her Aunt Bertha and Uncle Charlie. She graduated from high school on May 13, 1949. Upon her schooling at the age of seventeen, Edith got her first job as a waitress earning 25 cents an hour. In 1950, while trying to roller skate one night, Edith fell. She was picked up off the floor by a young man. This young man was her future husband, Roy Joseph Happs Jr. They were married
on September 16, 1950 in Keokuk, Iowa. While Roy was in the Army at Ft. Riley, Kansas Edith worked at the Spic & Span Café in Junction City, Kansas. Edith attended the First Baptist Church in Keokuk where she also taught kindergarten for seven years. Edith stayed home and raised her family from 1952 until 1967 when she went to work at Swifts. Edith and Roy liked to take vacations with their children all through the United States and Canada and went on several weekend camping trips. The family belonged to the Ill-Ia-Mo Roamers camping club. In January 1976, Roy and Edith moved their family to Gillette, Wyoming. Edith worked at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home as a certified nurse’s aide until she retired in 1983. She babysat until 1998. Edith also became a Master Sewer. After forty seven and a half years of a wonderful marriage, Roy passed away in 1998. In 2001 Edith became a resident at the Pioneer Manor Nursing home. Her hobbies were sewing, cross-stitching, reading, watching TV, playing bingo, crafts, camping, working in her garden, taking photos, and visiting her grandchildren. Edith was a member of several clubs, Rebekahs, Stitch & Skillet, Past Noble Grands, AARP, Diabetes Clinic, Master Sewers, Communication and Education Club. She is survived by her three daughters: Karen Ann, Janet Lois, and Cindy Linn, all of Gillette, Wyoming; one son, Dewayne LeRoy “Trish” Happs; of Washougal, Washington one sister, Martha Saulsbury; one brother, John Eichelberger both of Gillette, one granddaughter, Clara Happs of Washoulgal, Washington, one grandson, Jeremy Meade of Cheyenne, Wyoming and three great grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Henry Harrod
Henry Harrod, age 75, died on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at his home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes. A memorial service will be held at later date in California.
Henry F. Harrod was born on April 21, 1929 the son of Harry and Esther (Twiggs) Harrod in Hooker, Oklahoma. As a young boy he moved with his family to Coolidge, Arizona, attended schools in the area and graduated from high school in Florence, Arizona. He enlisted in the United States Army and following his tour of duty was honorably discharged. He worked for the Forrest service near Grass Valley, California during which time he met his future wife, Maxine Hientze. He had a great passion for search and rescue, a program he participated in for fifteen years with the Sacramento, California Fire Department. In 1958, Henry worked for the Civil Service as an inspector for McClellan Air force Base. Henry moved near Hayden, Arizona when he was forced into retirement due to a knee injury. During this time he made and sold turquoise jewelry to supplement his income. Hank and Maxine moved to Fredonia, Kansas to be near family where they lived until 1998 when he moved to Gillette to be near his son and family. Henry loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports. He enjoyed listening and talking on his CB Radio and was a police scanner fanatic. Before his marriage, he raced hydro boats and race cars in Florida. He also enjoyed working for a time as a rodeo clown. He liked to frequent the Senior Citizen Center, referring to it as “his club.”
Henry is survived by one son: Richard (Judy) Harrod of Gillette, Wyoming; two sisters: Ophelia Snow of Gentry, Arkansas and Pauline McMillian of Coolidge, Arizona; five grandsons, three granddaughters and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maxine and a daughter, Cherl Wirick.
A memorial has been established to benefit the Campbell County Senior Citizens Center.

Robert Blackrose
Services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 11, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Orvil Holden of the First Assembly of God Church officiating. The family requests that everyone dresses casual.
Robert died November 5, 2004 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of complications of a brief illness.
Robert A. Blackrose, also known as “RAB” was born November 20, 1952, the son of Richard and Carmen (Pacot) Reeder in Gillette, Wyoming. Robert worked for attorneys as a paralegal and worked on the oil well drilling rigs. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict.
Robert had a big heart and loved helping those who were less fortunate and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Robert is survived by his father, Richard Reeder of Gillette, Wyoming; his wife, Shirley Blackrose of Gillette, Wyoming; his step-daughters: Becky Mae Hewitt and Anna Hewitt of Gillette, Wyoming; his sister, Georgia L. Montoya of Gillette, Wyoming; and many grandchildren, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1989; his brother, David Lee Reeder in 1974 and his grandparents.

Lois Kinsey
Lois Kinsey, age 71, of Terry, Montana passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2005 at her home in Terry with her husband at her side after a long time battle with diabetes.
Lois was born on November 15, 1933, the daughter of Clifford and Marie (Kuyper) Moody in the old hospital of Baker. She attended the Baker Schools, which she completed the 8th grade. Lois worked with her mom at the restraint at the exit to Hardin and then she worked with her mom at the bakery in Baker and then for the Randells that took it over. Lois married
Jenberg Johnson on February 23, 1950, and moved to Milwaukee to work and they later moved back to Baker where there son Jerry was born. They later divorced. Then Lois met Brice Kinsey and they were married
on September 18, 1953 in the First Presbyterian Church in Miles City. They lived in Baker for 15 years where Brice was water commissioner and they had five other children. They later moved to Plevna where Brice worked as a rancher for Jim Bickle, then in 1976, they moved to Terry and Brice worked for a carpenter and Lois worked for the sheriff’s office for a long time and before retiring.
Lois enjoyed the outdoors and she really enjoyed her flowers and greenhouse. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her husband of 52 years, Brice Kinsey of Terry, MT; her children: Jerry Lee (Annette) Johnson of New Mexico; Mark Kinsey of Butte, Pam (Rance) Jonas of Utah; James (Darla) Kinsey of Texas, Rocky (Wanda)Kinsey of Bowman, ND; Ruby (Larry) Bearley of Fallon, MT; 26 grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, two sisters: Bonnie (Ralvin) Larson of Baker, MT; Marabelle (Cliff) Crawford of Plevna, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Terry.

Stephen F. Sutton
Memorial services for Stephen Francis Sutton, 50, of Gillette will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. Cliff Jacobsen officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
Mr. Sutton died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper of complications from type 1 diabetes and kidney failure.
He was born Dec. 12, 1955, in San Diego, Calif., to Robert John and Anna Bess (Berret) Sutton. He lived in California until the age of 12.
The family then moved to Natchez Miss., where he graduated from Natchez High School in 1973. He attended community college in Natchez for one year.
He moved to Colorado in 1975 with his sister, Roberta, and her family.
He built log homes with his brother-in-law Bob Crook.
He joined the U.S. Navy and served for four years aboard the aircraft carrier USS Eisenhower. He and his crewmates held the record for the most days at sea, 254. He was honorably discharged.
After the service, he returned to Louisiana and began working in the oil field industry with off-shore oil rigs.
He moved to Gillette in 1983 and worked at various oil field industry supply houses including Sooner Pipe, Safway Supply and The Oilfield Shop.
On Sept. 1, 2000, he married
Deb Holbert in Rock Springs. They made their home in Gillette.
He was very athletic and played in “A” league softball for more than 15 years in Gillette. He loved a good, competitive game of foosball, Ping-Pong or golf. He enjoyed traveling, fishing for walleye, including several trips to Canada, and camping in the Big Horns. He also loved to gamble, snow ski and water ski. He cherished his time playing with his dog Pepper and later in life, competing with her for the sun spot in front of the window. He loved to cook and barbecue. His specialty was Cajun food, particularly gumbo.
Mr. Sutton is survived by his wife of Gillette; one sister, Roberta Sutton of Greenville N.C.; 12 nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

David "Bob" Booth
Memorial service for David R. “Bob” Booth of Pine Haven, Wyoming will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sonny White officiating. Burial will be at a later time at Pine Haven cemetery in Pine Haven, Wyoming.
Bob Booth died on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
David Robert Booth was born on March 19, 1936 to James F. and Ella V. (Morton) Booth in Fort Collins, Colorado. As a young man Bob moved to Modesto, California. After his graduation from high school in 1952, he moved to Colorado and began working in construction as a heavy equipment operator. Eventually he became an electrician and worked for a time building Stapleton Airport in Denver. During that time he met and married
Doris Stanley and they had 5 sons. He and Doris later divoriced. Bob moved to various places through out Wyoming while working as an electrician. There he met and married
Barbara Ann Berman on October 20, 1979 in Keystone, South Dakota. . In 1980, they moved to Gillette and then to Pine Haven in 1988. In 1982 he became employed by Pernalto Oil Company where he worked as an electrician until his retirement in 1992. During this time he invented a magnetic relay for use in the oilfields for which he received a patent. Bob was an accomplished musician. He loved his guitar but could play any instrument. He played in the Grand Ole Opry with various known artists under the stage name of “Bobby Upsyde”. He loved entertaining, and would play music for one or many. He continued to enjoy playing his music until a year ago when he was forced to stop due to the decline in his health. Bob loved playing music, golfing and fishing. He was also an avid hat collector with a sizable collection. He cherished the time he spent with his family and greatly enjoyed planning ways in which to get them all together. Bob loved people in general, had a smile for everyone and never met a stranger. He could connect with anyone. He was a past governor of the Moose Lodge and a past president of the Eagle’s Lodge. He held a membership in both organizations for twenty-seven years.
Bob is survived by his wife Barb of Pine Haven; four sons: David R. Booth Jr and his wife Laura of Sterling, Colorado; Phillip Booth of Upton, Wyoming and Mark Booth of San Diego, California, James Booth and his wife LuAnn of Lakewood, Colorado; three daughters: Cyndee Lueck and her husband Lonnie of Gillette, Wyoming; Patsy Cornelius and her husband Jim of Forsyth, Montana; Kathy Berman and Dave Evans of Newcastle, Wyoming; one brother: Maurice “Bud” Booth and his wife Arlene of San Diego, California; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Michael and Sam; two brothers: Gail and Jim and two sisters: Myrna and Marcile “Marky”.
A memorial has been established in Bob’s name to be designated by the family at a later date.
