Fred Floyd, Jr
Funeral services for Fred Floyd will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Crump of The Family Life Church officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
Fred Floyd, Jr. passed away March 3, 2006 in Buffalo, Wyoming after a long battle with cancer.
Fred Floyd, Jr. was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on May 2, 1932 the son of Fred L. Floyd and Doris Packard Floyd. He was an only child. Schooling was at a rural grade school. In 1948 he quit school and returned to the ranch he loved, where he spent the rest of his life.
In 1954 Freddy and Darlene Carson were united in marriage at Rapid City, South Dakota on April 19. They were the third generation to ranch and live on Wildhorse Creek, 26 miles northwest of Gillette.
Three children were born to their union; Rick, Sherry and Toni. Fred was a 4-H leader for Western Range 4-H and enjoyed his work with the Campbell County Fair. He worked on the Campbell County Fire Board and was a volunteer Rural Fireman for over 30 years.
A favorite pastime was old western movies and he was an avid reader of western books. He enjoyed his family and had a special spot in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He especially treasured hunting in Canada for sheep and caribou and hunting for deer and sheep in Wyoming.
He is survived by his wife, children Rick Floyd of Gillette, Sherry Mackey of Story, Wyoming and Toni Wagoner of Alladin, Wyoming, six grandchildren; Brandon Dorr, Zane Wagoner, Brad Mackey, Kara Haney, Wendy Wagoner and Ryan Floyd. He is also survived by four great-granchildren and brother-in-law Richard Carson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one beloved grandson Tyrell Floyd.
If so desired, memorials are suggested to benefit the 4-H Clover Corrals or Arvada Women’s Club.

Eric Fedde
Memorial service for Eric Fedde of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 3:00 pm, Thursday, February 23, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rodger Truax officiating.
Eric Fedde, age 53, of Gillette died Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at his home of an apparent cardiac event.
Eric Leland Fedde was born November 16, 1952 at the Travis Air Force Base in California the son of George Leland and Dare Ione (Jarvis) Fedde. Most of his youth was spent in Mountain Home, Idaho. Eric came to Gillette in the mid 70’s to work. Most recently he was employed by Western Welding. Listening to music and playing the guitar were some of Eric’s favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed watching football, both NFL and College, watching NASCAR and cooking for his friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Hayes of McKenna, Washington; his mother, Dare Fedde of Tempe, Arizona; 1 brother, Ferril Fedde of Las Vegas, Nevada and 1sister, Diane Siefert of Chandler, Arizona and many friends in the Gillette area.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, George.

Emily Hibner
A prayer service was held Monday January 3, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Emily Hibner, age 89, died January 3, 2005, at her home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Upon her request a private family prayer service was held on Monday, January 3, 2005 at the Stevenson –Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming with Father Peter Auer of Saint Matthew’s Catholic Church as celebrant. Burial will take place at a later date in Stanislaus cemetery in Cheektowaga, New York.
Emily E. Hibner was born July 29, 1915, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Makowska) Majewicz in Buffalo, New York.
Mrs. Hibner is survived by a daughter, Emily M. (Robert) Mentley of Gillette, Wyoming; a son, Stanley F. Bett of West Seneca, New York; a sister, Alice Zamborowski of Buffalo, New York; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Raymond Hibner.

Randy Hazlett
Funeral Service for Randy Hazlett of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Wright Baptist Church in Wright with Pastor Alan Kiefer officiating. Burial will follow at the Wright cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Tuesday. The family has requested that everyone dress is casual attire.
Randy Hazlett, age 46, died on October 20, 2004 near Wright, Wyoming from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Randy Joe Hazlett was born on September 12, 1958, the son of Fred and Betty (Jordan)Hazlett in Springfield, Ohio, where he was raised and educated. After graduating high school, he lived in Kaycee, Wyoming where he worked on an oil rig. He also spent some time in the Dallas, Texas area. He then moved to Gillette in 1999 to work in the oilfields. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family and friends.
Mr. Hazlett is survived by his parents, Fred and Betty Hazlett of Hemphill, Texas; one brother: Mike Hazlett and sister-in-law, Deb, of Wright, Wyoming; two nieces: Julie Hazlett of Casper, Wyoming and Krissy Langston of Eugene, Oregon; two uncles: Dean Hazlett of Buffalo, Wyoming and John Jordan of Dayton, Ohio and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one cousin, Mark Hazlett of Urbana, Ohio.

Laverne Littleton Cook
Funeral services for LaVerne Cook will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jim McConnell of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pisgah cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home.
LaVerne Littleton Cook, age 89, of Gillette, Wyoming died Monday, April 3, 2006 at Pioneer Manor of natural causes.
Laverne was born February 8, 1917 the daughter of Scott and Mildred (Littleton) New in Perdy, Oklahoma. She was raised and educated in Gillette, Wyoming graduating from Campbell County High School with normal training in 1936. Upon graduating she taught in rural Wyoming schools for some time. On April 9, 1939 LaVerne married
Cecle Cook in Deadwood, South Dakota. Due to Cecle’s employment the couple lived in Sundance, Wyoming, Keyport and Poulsbo, Washington and Acme & Riverton, Wyoming. In 1949 the couple made their home in Gillette, Wyoming where they have resided since. LaVerne was dedicated homemaker, raising the children and caring for her family. LaVerne served on the Campbell County Election Board for many years, actually hosting many elections in her home. When the children went to school LaVerne worked at Gambles, Hesteds, the Newsrecord and The Quality Dress Shop. Mrs. Cook was also a sixty-five year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and Campbell County Homemakers. She was also a member of the Senior Center. LaVerne enjoyed sewing and handicrafts, porcelain doll making, oil and china painting and ceramics.
Mrs. Cook will be missed by her husband of sixty-six years, Cecle, 1 son, Dean B. and wife Juanetta Cook of Newbury Park, California, 2daughters: Kathleen and husband Steve Wheeler of Belen, New Mexico and Sandra and husband Gary Howard of Portland, Oregon, 1 brother, John and wife Mae New of Seattle, Washington, 1 sister, Blanche Willard of Gillette, Wyoming, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings: Bernice New, Elmo New, Leo New, Rex New, Alice Bates, Lynn Elder and Bessie Dollard.

Memorial service for Helen Elizabeth Clifford of Gillette will be held at the Blanche Beck Memorial Chapel of Pioneer Manor at 2:00 P.M. on March 16 2005 with Sister Carol Mechtenberg officiating. Burial will be held at the Valley Oaks Memorial Parks on Friday, March 18, 2005. Graveside services entrusted with Pierce Brothers Funeral Home in Westlake Village, California.
Helen Elizabeth Clifford, age 84, of Gillette, Wyoming died on Tuesday, March 15, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Helen Elizabeth Clifford was born on May 20, 1920 the daughter of Oscar and Thora (Carlson) Sundborg in Burley, Idaho. As a young girl the family moved to San Francisco, California. She attended schools and graduated from high school in Los Angeles, California. Then she attended the Los Angeles city college for two years. Helen was working for a lawyer’s office as a secretary when she met Max Clifford. They were married
on December 17, 1944 in Culver City, California. They resided mostly in southern California where Bobbi and Mike were born. Helen and Max raised their children in the San Fernando Valley area. In the early 1970’s Max became disabled so Helen and Max traveled with the camping club “Forest Gypsies” until 1985 when Max passed away. Helen returned to southern California with her family and stayed till 2000 when she moved to Rozet, Wyoming following her family. She has been a resident at Pioneer Manor in 2004 in Gillette, Wyoming. She was a member of Independent Order Foresters and active member in Epiphany Lutheran Church in California. Helen and Max were founding members of this church. They were supportive of their children’s activities, including showing horses and watching their son in little league. Helen enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and caretaker for her husband and other family members.
Helen is survived by a daughter Bobbi McLaurin of Rozet, Wyoming; son Michael Clifford of Sebastopol, California; granddaughter Shauna Rae Smith of Rozet, Wyoming; and grandson Michael Clifford of Sebastopol, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister.

Loretta Sautner
A Mass of Christian Burial for Loretta Sautner will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 2, 2004 at the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming. Interment will be in the Black Hills National cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday, July 1, 2004 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming.
Loretta Sautner, age 80, died June 29, 2004 at her home in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Loretta A. Sautner was born June 3, 1924, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Tekippee) Timp on her parent’s farm ten miles north of Gettysburg, South Dakota. She went to school at Lucas County School for 8 years. On June 19, 1944, she married
Chris V. Sautner at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Hoven, South Dakota. Upon the wedding, Chris was deployed by the U.S. Army. Two years later, they moved onto the family farm north of Gettysburg, where they lived until 1984. While they were in Gettysburg, Loretta worked at the hospital as a CNA and at the Red Owl Grocery Store. She then worked at the manor in Gettysburg for a number of years. They sold the family farm in 1984 and moved to Gillette, Wyoming to be with all their children.
Loretta enjoyed crocheting, gardening and growing flowers. She also enjoyed raising chickens, farming and milking.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 60 years; one daughter, Fay E. Imberi of Belgrade, Montana; two sons: Jim J. Sautner and Jeff J. Sautner, Both of Gillette, Wyoming; and one sister, Irene Ehlert of Breckenridge, Minnesota; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Edmynd Timp; four sisters: Louise Schmidt; Genevieve Frost; Florence Frost; Emma Timp; and one daughter, Sandy Vetter.

Jake French
Funeral services for Jake E. French of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Crump of Family Life Church officiating. Jake E. French, age 83, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Friday, June 17, 2005, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Jake E. French was born on March 17, 1922, the son of Abe French and Mary (Molitor) French in Rocky Point, Wyoming where he was raised and educated.
In 1971 he met his late wife Estalee French, and on June 22, 1974 they were married
in Gillette. Jake worked on various ranches as a ranch hand south of Gillette, Wyoming. In 1945 he went to work for Fulkerson Oil for twenty nine years, and twelve years at Farmers Coop.
Jake is survived by three son’s, Earl French of Gillette, Wyoming; his step-son Gwin (Debbie) Neatherlin of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and step-son Coy Neatherlin of Abilene, Texas; three daughters, Pam Beck of Gillette, Wyoming; step-daughter Londa (Rick) Bowlin of Austin, Texas; step-daughter Rhonda (Clyde) McMillian of Lakeland, Florida; three sisters Mary French of Hulett, Wyoming; Helen Palmer of Lakeview Terrace, California; Clara French of Lakeview Terrace, California. Two grandsons, numerous step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and four brothers, Henry, Willie, Joe and Jim.

James Lucky Johnson
James Lucky Johnson, 58, of Adrian, Missouri died of an apparent cardiac arrest on May 14, 2006, in Gillette, WY. Memorial services are pending in Adrian, MO.
Jim was born in Maywood, CA to Pauline and Lucky Johnson on October 28, 1947. He lived much of his life in Southern California. In 2000 he and his wife Teri moved to Adrian, Missouri. He enjoyed the country life there, living in his parent’s old home watching the hummingbirds, wild turkeys and deer with her. Jim was an animal lover, a soft touch for strays that arrived on his doorstep. His dog, Hallie, was his special pal. Jim was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed barbecuing. He was an avid garage sale and auction buyer and became quite expert at selling his finds on E-bay. Above all, Jim was happiest when he was helping someone else.
Jim was employed by Babcock and Wilcox. He and his wife were living in Gillette for the second time, having arrived 5 months prior to his death. He held a supervisory position with the company and was quite excited about this new venture and future opportunities with B&W.
Jim is survived by his wife Teri, two daughters, Lori and Leslie, one son Richard, and his step-daughter Chrystal Mitchell. Jim was to walk Chrystal down the aisle for her August wedding. Also surviving are two sisters, Jeannette Emerson of Adrian, MO, and Jeanne Guerra and Morgan Hill, CA. Preceding him in death were his parents, Pauline and Lucky Johnson. Gloria McCaffrey

Gloria Mary McCaffrey, age 81, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Gloria is survived by her three daughters, Kathy McDermott and Rosemary Brennan and Patrice; and two grandchildren Dennis McDermott and Erin Brennan.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Lyndsay Brennan.
