Landon Holmes
Graveside service for Landon Holmes infant son of Jason and Katie (Doak) Holmes of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette with Pastor Gary Williams of the Westside Baptist Church officiating.
Landon Wayne Holmes was born silently to this world, where he will continually live in our hearts forever, on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
Left to meet him later in the kingdom of God are his parents, Jason and Katie Holmes; maternal grandparents, Donald and Marie Doak all of Gillette, Wyoming; paternal grandparents, Doug and Rene Holmes of Marlow, Oklahoma; maternal aunt, Jennifer Doak and maternal uncle, Nathan Doak both of Gillette, Wyoming; paternal uncles, Cody Holmes and Denton Holmes both of Marlow, Oklahoma; one 1st cousin, McKenzie of Marlow, Oklahoma; numerous great aunts, great uncles, great grandparents and many other extended family members.

Virginia Farmer
Funeral services for Virginia Catherine Farmer of Gillette will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at St. Mathews Catholic Church. Father Jim Heisser of St Matthews Catholic church will officiate. Visitation will be held the evening prior on Monday, January 30, 2006 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Virginia Farmer, age 97, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away peacefully of natural causes with family members in attendance on Wednesday, January 25, 2006.
Virginia began life as the Daughter of Mary and James Salvucci December 03, 1908 on a family farm in Memphis Tennessee. The farm was subsequently sold and the family moved to Denver, Colorado where Virginia attended parochial school and spent most of her life. While in Denver, Virginia worked in sales and marketing for the Telephone Company, The May Company and Denver Dry Goods, and Fox fashion Center until 1934 when she met Hubert Farmer. Love and marriage led to two children, a son Donald, a daughter, Bernice, and a change of career to something she was really good at, full time homemaker and mother.
Virginia lived a full and vibrant life, surrounded by love and light she could be best described as a master caretaker. Although her number one priority was being a mom and worrying about her curious son Donald, she held a full time job most of her life, managed to care for her wheel-chair bound husband, crippled sister Lucille and still find time to enjoy a variety of fun things like bowling, fishing, Cub Scout den mother, church, sewing, hiking, playing cards and laughing a lot along the way.
preceded in death by her husband Hubert, daughter Bernice, parents James and Mary of Denver Colorado, sister Lucille of Gillette and brother Anthony of Greeley Colorado, Virginia may well be the last of this generation in the family. Of her immediate family she is survived by her son, Donald, his wife Patricia (Midge) Farmer of Gillette, Wyoming, niece Bernice King of Table Rock Ark., niece Mary Gray of Jacksonville, Florida, and various other family members nationwide.
She will be missed by everyone who met her and were touched by her generosity and smile. In lieu of flower or cards, please make donations to the Pioneer Manor activities or resident council fund at Pioneer Manor Nursing home, 900 West 8th St., Gillette Wyoming, 82716.

Maureen Olins
Memorial service for Maureen Olins will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 20, 2006 at the Highland Park Church in Casper, Wyoming with Pastor Milo Miller officiating. Stevenson Funeral Home of Gillette is entrusted with the arrangements.
Maureen Olins, age 46, of Arvada, Wyoming died on May 12, 2006 in a motorcycle accident.
Maureen Louise was born on February 19, 1960 in Casper, Wyoming the daughter of John and Viola (Gagnon) McAteer she was raised and educated in Casper graduating from Natrona County High School. Upon graduation she attended Casper College. While in college Maureen began using her talent for art by creating posters that would promote communities by advertising their businesses. In 1983 Maureen moved to California where she met her first true love Douglas Olins, the couple married in 1985. >From this union came two children: Wesley and Jessica. First and foremost Maureen was a mother and delighted in caring for her kids. While living in California with her family, she did work as a dental technician but continued to showcase her talent for art by painting several murals in the community. Many still exists on the businesses today. In 1991 Maureen returned home to Casper. Always finding different ways to support herself by doing what she loved, Maureen would do artwork and lettering on business windows as well as doing portraits and characters for individuals. In 1999 Maureen came to Gillette to do character drawings at the then new Hastings store. Maureen continued to reside in Gillette until recently moving to Arvada. She loved motorcycles, not only riding them, but also doing the mechanic work on her own motorcycles. Her love of art was evident in almost every area of her life as well as the love for her children.
Maureen is survived by her son, Wesley Olins; daughter, Jessica Olins; Douglas Olins all of San Diego, California; 3 sisters: Trish Bradach of Casper, Wyoming, Regina Behrend of Meridian, Idaho and Annie McAteer of Casper, Wyoming; 7 brothers: Jim McAteer Post Falls, Idaho, John McAteer, Pat McAteer and Joe McAteer all of Casper, Wyoming, Dennis McAteer, Paul McAteer both of Poracatello, Idaho and Phillip McAteer of Colorado; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Veronica Vang and brother Tom McAteer.

Leonard Satter
Graveside services for lifetime Gillette resident Leonard Satter were held today at the Mt. Pisgah cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post # 42.
Mr. Satter died Wednesday, August 31, 2005, at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Leonard Neal Satter was born February 18, 2005 the son of Oscar and Yorvnne “Marie” (Buchrue) Satter in Gillette, Wyoming. During WWII he served in the Navy. Leonard was employed for many years by the Campbell County School District as a custodian.
Leonard enjoyed riding his motorcycle and he loved his dog “Pete” very much. He will be remembered most for his helpful spirit.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Mildred Frazee of Gillette and his many friends.
Leonard is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Darrel L. McGlothlin
Memorial Services for Darrel L. McGlothlin, 59, will be held at Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, November 14, at 1 pm. Darrel passed away at Campbell County Memorial Hospital on November 7, 2005 of cardiac arrest.
Darrel was born on January 24, 1946 to Martin Van Buren and Waunita Mae (Sligar) McGlothlin. He was born on the family farm near Purdy, Missouri. After attending schools in Purdy he joined the Navy and served his country in Viet Nam. When his 4 year tour of duty was over, he married and had a son, Darrel Jr., who passed away in October of 1994 in Arkansas. Darrel had lived in Gillette, Wyo. Since 1976. He worked in the oil field, construction and the coal mines as an equipment operator.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Campbell of Cassville, MO, and nieces and nephews. Darrel is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Darrel Jr., a sister Peggy Craig and a brother Donald McGlothlin. Aaron Ventling
Graveside services for Aaron Ventling will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 17, 2004, at the Black Hills National cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota with Military Chaplain Father William Zandri officiating and military honors provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette, Wyoming is entrusted with the arrangements.
Aaron Ventling, age 70, of Gillette, Wyoming died September 13, 2004, at his home of natural causes.
Aaron Charles Ventling was born August 10, 1935 the son of Charles and Mildred (Hazleton) Ventling in Dayton, Wyoming.
Aaron was raised and educated in Dayton, Wyoming. In 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1956. Upon his discharge, he returned to Dayton, where he married Billie Achenbach. The couple had three children and later divorced. Aaron’s career in law enforcement took him to Riverton and Rawlins, Wyoming, where he lived until his retirement from the State Penitentiary. In 1986, Aaron moved to Gillette, Wyoming to be near his children and grandchildren, where he has resided since.
Aaron enjoyed oil painting, rock hunting and reading old westerns. His passion in life was his grandchildren, which was reflected through his devotion to them. Aaron also enjoyed his close neighbors and friends.
Aaron is survived by his daughter, Roxene Ventling of Upton, Wyoming; two sons: Dart Ventling of Upton, Wyoming; Kevin Ventling of Sheridan, Wyoming; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Sheryl Lynn Schwartz
Visitation for Sheryl Lynn Schwartz will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Pioneer Manor Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Bob Rudichar officiating. Interment to follow at the Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette,Wyoming.
Sheryl Schwartz, age 40, Rozet resident, died August 21, 2005 due to injuries sustained in a single car auto accident in Crook County.
Sheryl was born June 29th, 1965 in Creston, Iowa to Myron and Margaret (Stanfield) LaMasters. In 1984 she graduated from High School in Guernsey, Wyoming and went on to obtain her CNA at Rapid City Memorial Hospital and renewed it at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital. Sheryl worked as a CNA in Riverton and Gillette, Wyoming. She was also proud of earning her Certified Emergency Response Team certificate. Sheryl’s three children were her life. On July 5th, 2003 she married her soul mate Dean F. Schwartz of Gillette. She especially enjoyed her residence at Pioneer Manor. She adopted one of the residents as her grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Dean and her three children: Casey, Jennifer, and Justin Jones all of Gillette; three brothers: Dennis LaMasters, Glen “Chuck” LaMasters, and Timothy James LaMasters; four sisters: Barbara Cundiff, Gloria Palmitier, Nancy Meier, and Vicki LaMasters; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

Pauline Braumbeck
Pauline Elizabeth Braunbeck, age 88, of Lewistown, MT formerly of Miles City passed away on June 4, 2005 in Lewistown, MT.
Pauline was born on January 8, 1917 in Glendive, MT to Jacob and Minnie (Knoll) Fisher. As a child, the family moved to Missoula where Pauline attended schools. She met Joe Braunbeck who was stationed at the CC Camp in Missoula. They were married on June 19, 1937 in the St. Francis Xavier Church in Missoula, MT. They moved to Glendive for three years where their three children were born; Joe, Shirley and Moonyean. They then moved to Miles City where Pauline worked for the Furniture Store, McDonalds Clothing Store and for the St. Vincent de Paul Store. After Joe’s retirement, they traveled around visiting family and enjoying the sights. After Joe’s death, Pauline remained in Miles City where she lived for several years. Later Pauline was moved to a nursing home in Lewistown to be closer to her family where she remained until her death. Pauline was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. Pauline especially enjoyed and loved her family.
Pauline is survived by her daughters; Shirley (Don) Sorlie of Harwood, ND and Moonyean (Jerry) Tessmer of Athens, WI, her daughter-in-law; Boni Braunbeck of Lewistown, MT, two sisters-in-law; Martha Braunbeck of Miles City, MT and Bertha Northrop of Missoula, twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe in 1995, her son Joe Braunbeck, JR in 2005, brothers Ted Fisher and Leo Fisher, and one sister; Elenor Lennox.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at Stevenson and Sons funeral Home in Miles City. A Vigil Service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2005 at 6:30 pm at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in the Custer County cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church; 519 North Center, Miles City, MT or to the charity of ones choice.

Ruth Ross
Ruth Ross, age 85, of Gillette, Wyoming, died October 13, 2004, at her home in Gillette of natural causes.
Ruth Naomi Ross was born March 9, 1919, the daughter of Will and Agnes (Galusha) Dempsey in Clay Center, Nebraska. She was raised and educated on the family farm near Alliance, Nebraska with six brothers and sisters. Ruth received her primary education in a country school near the farm. She worked various jobs including a large farm in Illinois until she came to Gillette, Wyoming to see her oldest brother. She was employed by the local dry cleaning service in Gillette, where she met Keith Ross. On September 15, 1945, Ruth married Keith Ross in Billings, Montana. The family lived and worked on local ranches until they had to move into Gillette so the boys could go to school.
Ruth enjoyed many things: working the jobs she could and caring for the family. Ruth and Keith operated the only plant nursery in Gillette for many years. Her love for flowers and growing plants of all types stayed with her until the day she passed. Upon Keith’s death, she became quite active in her local church. She loved making quilts and especially embroidering tea towels.
Ruth is survived by her son, Perry Ross of Gillette, Wyoming; step-son, David Ross of Moorcroft, Wyoming; her daughter-in-law, Vicki O’laughlin, her brother, Emery Dempsey of Alliance, Nebraska; her sister, Blanche Sokol of Valentine, Nebraska; and several nieces nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1992, a son, Leonard Dempsey in 1976, and four siblings.
Memorial services for Ruth Ross will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2004, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Scott Firminhac officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette.
A memorial has been established in Ruth’s name to benefit the Trinity Lutheran Church of Gillette. Condolences and/or donations may be sent in care of Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, WY 82716.

Debra Bruse
Funeral services for Debra Bruse, age 52, of Gillette will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Chad Brucklacher officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2005, from 3:00 P.M. – 8: 00 P.M. at the chapel of the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Debra Bruse died on Friday, February 11, 2005 at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of Gillette of cancer.
Debra Jeanne Steiger was born on November 5, 1952 the daughter of Kenneth M. and Maxine L. (Vesely) Steiger in Winner, South Dakota. As a toddler her family moved to Rapid City, where she attended grade school. Moving to Hot Springs, South Dakota she attended Jr. High and High School there, Graduating in 1971. Deb began her first year of college in Brookings, South Dakota. She completed her Bachelor’s at Black Hills State University in Spearfish. Upon her graduation Deb traveled with her Aunt Toni (who was more like a sister). Backpacking, hiking and living on the beaches through out the country created some great memories and stories for Deb to tell. After a few years of leading this free spirited life style she finally settled down in Gillette, Wyoming. Deb married Roger Bruse in 1987. From this union came Deb’s greatest joy, Christopher who was born in the fall of 1988. The couple divorced in 1999. Debra worked for the Campbell County Public Library for just over twenty years. Managing the audio visual department for over ten years and as the Children’s Librarian for the past six, Debra will be greatly missed by not only her co-workers but also the public she served. Deb loved watching her son flat track motorcycle race and their time spent together. She enjoyed her twin nephews who brought much fun into her life. Always taking time to travel each year whether to the Black Hills or Seattle with friends and family she enjoyed the company and the experience. One of her most memorable trips was that of one with Toni to England a few years back.
Debra is survived by her son Christopher of Gillette; mother Maxine “Mickey” Steiger; brother, Rock Steiger and Brenda and their twin sons Dalton and Tanner all of Sturgis, S.D.; four aunts: Clione “Toni” Vesely of Glendale, CA, Marilyn Vesely of riverside CA, Bonnie Wann of Riverside, CA, and LaVerne Steiger of Winner, S.D.; one uncle, Donald Vesely of Los Angeles, CA and six cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth and brother Richard.
