Donald Peterson
Funeral services for Donald Edward Peterson, 84, of Gillette will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2005 the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Ginny Bettendorf officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pisgah cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Donald died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at Pioneer Manor of natural causes. Donald was born March 19, 1921 the son of Edward and Almeda (Korr) Peterson in Mitchell, SD. He grew up in the Kimball, SD area and graduated from high school in Hartford, SD. During WWII he worked at Wright Patterson Air Base in Dayton, Ohio. Donald married
Glendolyn Prunty on August 1, 1942 and they resided and raised their family in the Colton, SD area on a farm. The couple later moved to Bruce, SD and continued in the farming business. Donald and his family also lived and farmed in the Clear Lake, SD area. The couple moved to Gillette in 1980. Where Donald worked for and retired from the Gillette Public School system. After retirement Donald enjoyed traveling and being involved in activities with his grandchildren. In the mid 1990’s Donald moved to Pioneer Apartments where he and Glendolyn continued living until Donald’s health began to decline. Donald then moved to Pioneer Manor.
Donald enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers. His favorites were Roses, Gladiolas and strawberries, but he was most noted for his strawberries. He is survived by his wife, Glendolyn, two sons; James (Brenda) Peterson and David (Sue) Peterson all of Gillette. Also, one brother; Charles (Mary Ann) of Colton, SD, and three sisters; Mary Jane Chesley of Yankton, SD, Dorothy (Mike) Valland and Evelyn Wilkenson both of Sioux Falls, SD. Donald is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Donald is preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial has been established in Don Petersons name to the First United Methodist Church.

Trudy Larsen
Funeral service for Trudy Larsen will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Gillette, Wyoming, with Pastor Scott Firmanhac officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Larsen, age 46, died at her home in Gillette on January 20, 2006 after a valiant fight against cancer.
Trudy Marlene Larsen was born in Kimball, Nebraska on August 31, 1959 to Edward and Norma Riepe.
She was raised and educated in Casper, Wyoming and graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1977.
On August 7, 1982 she married
Gale Larsen, in Casper. From this union of marriage, Trudy and Gale had 2 sons: Joshua and Joel. Trudy and Gale made their home in Wyoming. In 1989 the family moved to Elko, Nevada. Trudy was a great mom; she devoted her time to her kids by staying home with them. As they got older she worked as a crossing guard and with her boys, had several paper routes. She enjoyed spending all the time she could with them. In 2002 they returned to Gillette. She worked as an aid on the school bus. She loved to help the kids. Trudy has always had a huge heart for those who needed help in life whether it was physically or emotionally. She was always willing to serve. Trudy’s dogs who she affectionately called her “girls” had a very special place in her heart.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. Trudy had a great love for Thomas Kinkade and it showed through out her home.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Gale; and 2 sons: Joshua and Joel, all of Gillette; 1 sister, Nanita Moore of Carson City, Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Riepe.

Doris Wagensen
Memorial services for lifetime Gillette resident Doris Wagensen, age 82, will be held on 11:00 A.M. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005 at the St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Gillette with Father Jim McConnell of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will be at a later time in the Mt. Pisgah cemetery. Stevenson Wilson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Mrs. Wagensen died on Sunday, October 23, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Doris Wagensen was born June 25, 1923, southwest of Gillette, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Kirkbride) Cook. She was the seventh of ten children. Doris attended rural elementary school north of Gillette and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1941. During her high school years she boarded with Kate Swartz in Gillette.
On December 3, 1943, she married
Donald W. Wagensen. They ranched north of Gillette on the Rawhide Ranch. Born to this union were Mickey , Lexi, Mary Kyle and Jan.
Doris owned and operated a children’s clothing store “Tot to Teens” in Gillette during the seventies. For years she kept meticulous books for Wagensen and Hayden – right to the penny.
Her community involvement included her work organizing Health Services of Campbell County Planning Commission, PEO, Eastern Star, Wyoming Stock Growers, Senior Citizen Foundation Board and Board of directors, Jobs Daughters and Cottonwood Park Estates Board. She served on the school reorganization board at a time when there was a lot of controversy about district lines. She was an early member of the Beta Sigma Phi Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and served on the Altar Guild.
She enjoyed gardening flowers, working cattle, traveling, a good game of bridge and spending time with her longtime friend and companion Walt Mueller. Doris appreciated her special caregivers: LeAnn; Colleen, Jill, Nikki, Jessie and Kasey.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Lexi Ballard of Casper, Mary Kyle Coltrane of Buffalo, Jan Fischer of Arvada; 7 grandchildren; 5 sisters: Avis Harrod of Gillette; Opal Butcher of Gillette, Pauline Haas of Saratoga, Bernice Hampton of Gillette, Donna Jean Phenix of Madison, Wisconsin; one brother, Cecil Cook of Gillette.
Her husband of thirty nine years preceded her in death on January 22, 1983; one son, Mickey in 1992; 2 sisters: Irene Persson, Ruby Fulkerson and 1 Brother, Allen Dean.

Don Pridgeon
Funeral services for Don Pridgeon will be held at High Plains Community Church, Gillette, Wyoming, Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 10:00 am with Pastor Dan Morgan of High Plains Community Church officiating. Interment will follow at Black Hills National cemetery, Sturgis, South Dakota at 2:30 pm. Military Honors will be provided by the Sturgis Honor Guard.
Donald G. Pridgeon, known as Don to his friends, died of natural causes Friday, January 27, 2006, encircled by the love of his family at his bedside at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
Don was born on May 1, 1928, the son of John and Jessie May (Arnold) Pridgeon in Newcastle, Wyoming. He was raised in Newcastle and graduated from Newcastle High School class of 1946. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps proudly serving as a Marine MP in Guam during the WWII clean up actions. Don married
Gladys Kuemmerle, of Upton, Wyoming in Custer, South Dakota on July 23, 1949. During their marriage they had a son, Herb, and two daughters, Glenda and Mary.
Don worked in the Newcastle and Gillette area oil fields and was a Farm Bureau Insurance agent. Don and Gladys purchased and operated Big D Sanitation serving the Northeast Wyoming area in the energy and mining industries until their retirement in 1995.
Don had many hobbies and enjoyed carpentry, hunting, fishing and pulling water skiers. Later he enjoyed learning computer skills so he could view and print pictures of his grandchildren. The most important thing to Don was his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was the cornerstone for his family’s faith and integrity, a basis from which they all grew. Don’s love for his wife Gladys was unwavering, and he was a steadfast source of strength and love for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Elks.
Don will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends, but especially his wife of 56 years, Gladys of Gillette, Wyoming; son Herb and his wife Elsie of Gillette, Wyoming; daughter, Glenda and her husband Rod Warne of Gillette, Wyoming and daughter, Mary and her husband Danny James of Lehigh Acres, Florida. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Chrissy (Pridgeon) and Paul Bickett of Madison, Wisconsin; Mike and Shelli (Daniels) James of Chapmanville, West Virginia; Tonya (Pridgeon) and Brian Anderberg of Mitchell, South Dakota; Ryan and Sarah (Edwards) Warne of Gillette, Wyoming; Dusty James of Lehigh Acres, Florida and Heather (James) and Gerey Dillinger of Gillette, Wyoming. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Henry, George and Richard and five sisters: Eva Cummings, Edna Morris, Pearle Dixon, Gladys Ware and Minnie Lynch.

Harold Powers
Memorial service for Harold Powers, known to his family and friends as “Skip”, will at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette, Wyoming with Kenna Rose officiating.
Skip Powers, age 50, of Gillette, Wyoming died suddenly on January 27, 2005 as a result of injuries he received in an ATV accident on the ranch near Gillette, Wyoming, where he lived with his wife, Ana, and step-son, Luke.
Harold C. Powers, Jr. was born the son of Harold C. Powers Sr., and Betty (O’Bryan) Powers on March 2, 1954 in Cushing Oklahoma where he was raised, educated and resided until his move to Wyoming in 1998. Skip moved here for his work and his future wife Ana Faycosh. The couple married
on June 19, 2002 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Skip enjoyed a successful career as a pipeline welder and advanced to be an inspector/supervisor, for Gilligans LLC., where he was employed until the time of his death.
Skip will be remembered for his passion and love of the outdoors and was happiest on that ranch with Ana and their many animals that they loved and nurtured. He loved riding his Harley in the quiet and sparsely populated Wyoming environment.
Skip is survived by his wife, Ana and step-son Luke Worthington of Gillette, Wyoming; sons, Joshua (Amy) and Logan Powers of Stillwater, Oklahoma; daughters, Jessica Powers of Edmond, Oklahoma; Aubrey Powers of Fort Dodge, Iowa; step children, Jake (Amber) and Duncan Worthington of Gillette, Wyoming; Bridgett (Shaun) Melton of Texas; mother, Betty Powers of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters Sharon (Fred) Ferrell of Edmond, Oklahoma; and Kathy (Jay) Hickman of Guthrie, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold C. (Buddy) Powers; and father- in-law, Joseph F. Faycosh.

Beulah Tyrrell
Beulah O. (Hux) Tyrrell, age 99, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away of natural causes on
Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Avalon Care Center in Othello, WA. She was born October 23, 1906 in Hammond, Indiana to E.J. and Sarah (Hook) Hux.
The family took up a homestead in Gillette, WY in 1907. The new high school is currently located on a portion of this land. Beulah lived in Gillette for the next 95 years. She moved to Basin City, WA to live with her son and daughter-in-law in 2002.
During her lifetime, she owned and operated Tyrrell's Shady Trailer Court, sold Royal
Neighbors Insurance, and volunteered on election boards. She enjoyed the days she spent at the Senior Citizens Center, as well as the many activities, including Bridge, and all the friendships she acquired. Her hobbies included China painting and crocheting afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In 1925, she married
Lee Tyrrell Sr. in Gillette. They were married
for 53 years. He preceded her in death in 1978. Also preceding her were her parents; brothers, Dee, Clarence, Dude, Robert and Herbert; and sisters, Flossie, Helen, Ida, Della and Hilda.
Survivors include son, Lee "Skip" and his wife, Audrey (Pack); granddaughters, Dalene (Chuck) Clayton, Janie (Chuck) Wigger and Cathy (Mark) Vowels; great-grandchildren, Charl (Doug) Burks, Chanin, Cheana and Chawn Clayton, Kacie (Chris) Myers, Kris, Halie, Nick and Kelcie Wigger, Justin (Candice) Vowels, Brooke (Jason) Elberg, Chad and Mathew Vowels; great- great-grandchildren, Riley and Mason Burks, Jordin and Cadin Vowels, Jacob, Loghan and Haydyn Myers, Korey and Karcyn Elberg and Jaxen Wigger; brothers, Danny and Norman Hux; and niece, Debbie Clements, whom she was especially close, along with numerous other nieces, nephews and
their families.
Viewing will be Friday, March 3, 2006 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, WY. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in
Gillette, Wyoming. A tribute in honor of her life will follow at the Campbell County Senior Citizens Center where refreshments will be served.

Donnie Blakeman
Funeral services for Donnie Blakeman, age 30, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 2:30 P.M., Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Moorcroft Elementary School in Moorcroft, Wyoming with Pastors Donavon Voigt from the First Presbyterian Church and Randy Blakeman of Cornerstone Ministries both of Moorcroft officiating. Interment will follow in the Moorcroft cemetery in Moorcroft, Wyoming. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home of Gillette is entrusted with the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 9, 2006 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette.
Mr. Blakeman passed away on Monday, March 6, 2006 in Gillette, Wyoming of unknown causes.
Donald Wayne Blakeman was born on July 8, 1975 in Newcastle, Wyoming to Tom and Connie (Smith) Blakeman. He spent his childhood years in Moorcroft. He was very athletic in all the sports he chose to participate in. In his junior year Donnie took 1st place in the 400 meter dash at state, which was a big thrill for him. Donnie graduated from Moorcroft High School in 1993. Upon his graduation Donnie attended Black Hills University for one year and Casper College for another. After meeting his future wife, Stacey Pixley, he moved to Laramie, Wyoming where he attended Laramie Community College for two years. The couple was married
on July 31, 1999 at Mallo Camp in Newcastle, Wyoming. He received his RN License in 2002. He was a very loving, caring devoted nurse, as well as son, brother, husband and father. Donnie enjoyed golfing, swimming at the lake with his kids and fishing with his brothers. He also enjoyed the many family BBQ’s visiting with his family while playing horse shoes and just hanging out.
Donnie is survived by his wife and her family; their 2 sons: Jett and Oakley all of Gillette, Wyoming; parents: Tom and Connie Blakeman of Moorcroft, Wyoming; three brothers: Troy Blakeman, Jody and his wife Rhianon both of Moorcroft, Wyoming and Doug and his wife Wendy Blakeman of Gillette, Wyoming, seven nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Dale Louis Williams
Memorial Mass for Dale Williams, age 46, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 a. m. Saturday, September 10, 2005 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church with Reverend Cliff Jacobson officiating. Visitation will be at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 9, 2005 with the family to receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a vigil / prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Services in Manning, Iowa will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at the Sacred Heart Church with Reverend Andrew Hoffman officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart cemetery. A vigil prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2005 at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, IA the family will receive friends at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Williams died Monday, September 5, 2005 unexpectedly in his home.
Dale Louis Williams was born on August 4, 1959 the son of Leo and Esther (Anstoeter) Williams in Storm Lake, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Manning, Iowa were he graduated from Manning High School 1977. Upon his graduation, Dale went on to attend Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmitsburg, Iowa. After earning his Associates Degree, Dale moved to Sheridan, Wyoming and began working as a carpenter. In 1980 Dale made his home in Gillette where he began working for different oilfield service companies until he became employed with Devon Energy and worked for them for the past seven years. He was working as Lease Operator Technician for them at the time of his death.
Dale was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed riding snowmobile, four-wheeling, camping and spending time at his cabin in the mountains, boating and water-skiing. Dale enjoyed many trips all through out the country and different parts of the world with his sister and brother-in-law.
He is survived by his mother, Esther Williams of Manning, IA; two brothers: Dan Williams of Gillette, WY and Gary Williams of Onaway, MI; two sisters: Maureen and husband, Ron Halbur of Manning, IA and Carol Ann and husband, Rick Jahn of Gillette, WY; one niece, Amy Halbur - Croghan and husband, Jason of Kansas City, MO.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Leo Williams in 1976 and one brother who died in infancy.

Joe Laster
Funeral service for Joseph “Joe” Laster of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2005, at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette with Kenna Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2004 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Joseph Laster died Monday, February 21, 2005 in Campbell County, near Savageton, Wyoming of work related injuries.
Joseph Kenneth Laster was born July 25, 1978, in Sacramento, California, the son of Raymond Kenneth and Peggy (Atherton) Laster of Gillette, Wyoming. Joseph came to Gillette when he was one year old. He then resided in many western states, moving with his family because of his father’s occupation in construction. His family returned to Gillette when he was 13 years old. Joseph attended school in Gillette and later earned his GED. He worked with his father in construction erecting drywall for 7 years. He then went to work in the methane fields. Joseph was a certified Fire Fighter in Forestry trained to fight Wyoming wild fires and also an electrician’s apprentice.
Joseph enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, billiards, and working on cars.
Joseph is survived by his daughter Brittany Dawn Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; parents Raymond “Ken” and Peggy (Atherton) Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; sisters Kathryn Silverthorne of Belleview, Washington; Amanda (Justin) Carter of Gillette, Wyoming; Linda Laster of Sheridan, Wyoming and Lorraine Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; niece Jazmyn Carter and nephew Jakob Carter both of Gillette, Wyoming; grandmother Olive Atherton of Rock Springs, Wyoming and many aunts and uncles.
