Noah John Novotny
Funeral services for Noah John Novotny will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Mark Jervis officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Noah John Novotny, age 2, passed away at the Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, Colorado from a long term illness.
Noah was born on July 3, 2002 in Gillette, Wyoming to the parents of Justin and Cherish (Havens) Novotny. The family lived in Gillette, Wyoming until he was about a year old when his parents moved to Grand Junction, Colorado to accommodate his health. Noah enjoyed watching Elmo, loved airplanes, playing with his older brother, Dalton, and living life to its' fullest. Anyone who knew Noah instantly fell in love with his charming personality and adorable smile. Noah's mom describes him best as having horns that hold up his halo. He could be loving, kissing and hugging one minute and the next pulling your hair and teasing you. He was a true blessing and a gift from God.
Noah is survived by his parents, Justin and Cherish Novotny of Grand Junction, Colorado; brother Dalton Novotny of Grand Junction, Colorado; maternal grandparents, Gary and Deb Wickam of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Randy and Diane Havens of Montrose, Colorado; paternal grandparents, Al and Carol Novotny of Casper, Wyoming; aunts, Faith Havens of Casper, Wyoming and Alisha Havens of Boise, Idaho; uncles,
Greg Novotny of Casper, Wyoming and Jarrod Novotny of Duluth, Minnesota; great grandparents, Elmer and Tres Downing and George and Harriet Havens all of Worland, Wyoming , Dorothy Wickam of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Ann Fetchkan of Portage, Pennsylvania, Dale and Louise Richards of Washington, Iowa, and all of the wonderful doctors and healthcare providers that became part of Noah's family.
A memorial has been established in Noah Novotny's name at the Bank of The West.

John Ray Lower
Funeral service for John Ray Lower, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andrew Carsrud of Family Life Church officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
John Ray Lower, age 36, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away on Monday, April 25, 2005 at his home of unknown causes.
John R. Lower was born on July 5, 1968 the son of Jerry and Dixie (Rhoades) Lower in Valentine, Nebraska and then when he was a toddler the family moved to Douglas, Wyoming with his family. In 1974 the family came to Gillette, Wyoming where John attended school. He worked for Godfathers Pizza until 1985 when he had a severe motorcycle accident that left him disabled for the rest of his adult life. John's hobbies were listening to music, fishing, being outdoors, watching NASCAR, wrestling and his many collections. He had a firm handshake and a glimmer in his eye and he was best known to everyone as the 'caretaker'. John loved talking to people even those that he didn't know. He spent a lot of time down at the Kum and Go Store and he was always willing to give a helping hand. John loved spending time with his family especially his son Kyle.
John is survived by his mother, Dixie Berland of Gillette, Wyoming; father, Jerry (Pauline) Lower of Riverton, Wyoming; son, Kyle Wagner of Gillette, Wyoming; grandfather, Roy Lower of Valentine, Nebraska; brother, Gerald (Kelli) Lower of Rapid City, South Dakota; three sisters; Debbie (Billy) McGee; Linda (Daniel) Moyer all of Gillette, Wyoming; Wanda (Tim) Bare of Valentine, Nebraska and aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncle and best friend.

Nekcol Hannah Locken
Funeral services for Nekcol Hannah Locken will be held on Friday, December 30, 2005 at 9:30 am at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Kenna Rose officiating. A visitation will be held at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home on Thursday, December 29, 2005 from 3:00-7:00 pm.
Nekcol, the infant daughter of Kyle Locken and Lindsey Baumert, both of Gillette, Wyoming, was born on December 21, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital. She left us the evening of December 24, 2005 at the Presbyterian-Saint Luke Hospital in Denver, Colorado because of complications of premature birth. A fleeting life full of love, Nekcol will be a song in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her parents, Kyle Locken and Lindsey Baumert of Gillette, Wyoming; her grandparents, Jerry Locken, Pennie Locken, Mike Baumert and Janet Baumert all of Gillette, Wyoming, along with numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Teddy Michael Lazarus
Graveside service for Teddy Michael Lazarus of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Mount Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming with Pastor Chad Brucklacher officiating.
Teddy Michael Lazarus died of complications of a premature birth.
Teddy was born in the early morning hours of August 9, 2005 at Presbyterian St. Luke's hospital in Denver, Colorado. He was with us for about an hour and a half before he gently went to be with Jesus. We love and will miss him dearly.
Teddy is survived by two brothers; one twin brother, Hayden Teddy Michael and Parker; two sisters Brittany and Ashley; parents Jennifer and Ted Lazarus, all of Gillette, Wyoming; grandparents Richard and Marilyn Grant; Dwight and Jackie Lazarus.
Memorials are suggested in Teddy's name and may be sent in care of the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home 210 W. 5th Street, Gillette, Wyoming 82716.

Joe Laster
Funeral service for Joseph 'Joe' Laster of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2005, at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette with Kenna Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2004 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Joseph Laster died Monday, February 21, 2005 in Campbell County, near Savageton, Wyoming of work related injuries.
Joseph Kenneth Laster was born July 25, 1978, in Sacramento, California, the son of Raymond Kenneth and Peggy (Atherton) Laster of Gillette, Wyoming. Joseph came to Gillette when he was one year old. He then resided in many western states, moving with his family because of his father's occupation in construction. His family returned to Gillette when he was 13 years old. Joseph attended school in Gillette and later earned his GED. He worked with his father in construction erecting drywall for 7 years. He then went to work in the methane fields. Joseph was a certified Fire Fighter in Forestry trained to fight Wyoming wild fires and also an electrician's apprentice.
Joseph enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, billiards, and working on cars.
Joseph is survived by his daughter Brittany Dawn Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; parents Raymond 'Ken' and Peggy (Atherton) Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; sisters Kathryn Silverthorne of Belleview, Washington; Amanda (Justin) Carter of Gillette, Wyoming; Linda Laster of Sheridan, Wyoming and Lorraine Laster of Gillette, Wyoming; niece Jazmyn Carter and nephew Jakob Carter both of Gillette, Wyoming; grandmother Olive Atherton of Rock Springs, Wyoming and many aunts and uncles.

Landon Holmes
Graveside service for Landon Holmes infant son of Jason and Katie (Doak) Holmes of Gillette, Wyoming will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette with Pastor Gary Williams of the Westside Baptist Church officiating.
Landon Wayne Holmes was born silently to this world, where he will continually live in our hearts forever, on Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
Left to meet him later in the kingdom of God are his parents, Jason and Katie Holmes; maternal grandparents, Donald and Marie Doak all of Gillette, Wyoming; paternal grandparents, Doug and Rene Holmes of Marlow, Oklahoma; maternal aunt, Jennifer Doak and maternal uncle, Nathan Doak both of Gillette, Wyoming; paternal uncles, Cody Holmes and Denton Holmes both of Marlow, Oklahoma; one 1st cousin, McKenzie of Marlow, Oklahoma; numerous great aunts, great uncles, great grandparents and many other extended family members.

Paul Lee Beckley
Paul Lee Beckley, age 76, of Gillette, Wyoming, passed away at the Sturgis VA Center in Sturgis, South Dakota on Monday, June 16, 2003 after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2003, at 2:00 P.M. at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2003 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Gillette. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Gillette, Wyoming, with full military honors.
Paul Lee Beckley was born November 18, 1926, in Croft, Kansas to Boyd and Margaret (Coulter) Beckley. Paul spent his early years in Croft before leaving home to join the service. Paul was in the U.S. Army from September 30, 1950 to October 1, 1952, serving in the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the service, he started working in the oilfield. During his employment with the oilfield industry, he lived in South America and Turkey, Belize British Honduras, among a number of other places always returning to Gillette.
Paul married Geraldine (Geri) Robinson on December 19, 1986. Paul and Geri later moved from Gillette to Pine Haven were he lived until the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and helping his neighbors and family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Geri Beckley; two daughters: Sharon Heseltine and JoAnn McKown; one son, Paul Wayne Beckley all of Gillette, Wyoming; three step-daughters: Denise Fullenwider of New Mexico, Brenda Burton and Jennifer Robinson both of Gillette; one step-son, Kelly Robinson of South Dakota; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit the Frontier Home Health Hospice. Donations may be sent to P.O. Box 517, Sundance, WY 82729-0517.

Julia Mary Hoy
Gillette - Funeral services for Julia Mary Hoy, age 92, of Gillette, Wyoming will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, July 3, 2003, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Father Phillip Allen will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow at the Custer City cemetery in Custer, Wyoming. Stevenson Funeral Home of Gillette, Wyoming is entrusted with the arrangements.
Julia, known to her friends and family as Judy, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2003 at the Pioneer Manor in Gillette, Wyoming of natural causes.
Julia Mary Hoy was born the daughter of Howard and Bessie (Price) Morris in Oneida, South Dakota on April 30, 1911. She was raised and educated in central South Dakota. Judy graduated from Hitchcock High School in Hitchcock, South Dakota in 1930 as the salutatorian of her class. Upon graduation Judy went on to nursing school in Huron, South Dakota. In 1934 Judy became a Registered Nurse. Though out her career, Judy worked in many facets of the nursing profession. She was a surgery nurse at the State Tuberculosis sanitarium in Custer, South Dakota and she also worked as a Special Nurse in Custer County. This position required Judy to work in locations other than hospitals; she would care for patients in their homes. Judy also nursed at rodeos, pageants and the Girl Scout camp every summer. During the Polio epidemic she went to work for the Lutheran Hospital in Hot Springs, South Dakota in the Polio units. She also worked at the Sisters Hospital as a surgery and floor nurse. In 1950 Judy began working in the Hot Springs Clinic, which she did for ten years. Judy then proceeded to the position of Director of Nursing at the State Home for Handicapped Children in Custer, South Dakota in 1962. She retired at the age of sixty- five in 1976 after forty four years of nursing.
On May 22, 1934 Judy married Steven James Hoy of Custer, South Dakota. Judy's uncle Reverend Clay Morris married them in Hot Springs, South Dakota.
Judy became a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs South Dakota in 1954, where she served her church for forty years.
Judy is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Jo Cohee of Gillette, Wyoming; one son Steven Lee Hoy and wife Sherri of Las Vegas, Nevada; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1965; one son-in-law Daniel 'Lon' Cohee and two sisters: Margurite 'Meg' Shaw and Florence 'Babe' Dickson.
Memorials in Judy's name are suggested to the St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Donations can be sent in care of the Stevenson Funeral Home, 210 W. 5th St. Gillette, Wyoming 82716.

Robert "Bob" Wenande
Robert Wenande, age 80, of Oshoto, Wyoming, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004 in Mesa, Arizona of natural causes.
Robert Joseph Wenande was born November 4, 1923, the son of Gertrude (Johnson) and William J. Wenande in Alexandria, South Dakota. Bob grew up on the family ranch, attending eight years of rural school at Stroner, Wyoming. He graduated from Campbell County High School in Gillette, Wyoming in 1941. Upon graduation, he joined his parents in ranching. When his father died in 1961, he bought the ranch and added raising sheep to their cattle-raising industry. On June 21, 1951, he married Jean Marie 'Bonnie' Rourke of Gillette, Wyoming at the Saint Matthew's Catholic Church in Gillette. Three children were born to this union.
Bob participated in rodeos as a bareback rider, calf roper, and team roper. Later, Bob gained local fame as a rodeo announcer. He loved working with children in the Little Levi rodeos. He was a member of the Horse Creek Roping club, putting on rodeos at the Horse Creek Arena at his ranch at Oshoto. They also put on the Crook County Fair Rodeo at Sundance for ten years. Bob served on many boards during his lifetime. He was a county commissioner for Crook County for ten years, served on the school board, was a member of Trail Creek Grazing Association for thirty-eight years, served on the board of directors for Spring Creek Grazing Association, a Director for Powder River Energy for twenty-two years, a Basin Board Director for five years, Crook County Predator Board, Wyoming Wool Growers Association, Wyoming Stock Growers Association, and the Wyoming State Rural Electric Association. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Saint Matthews Catholic Church in Gillette, Wyoming and the Saint Mathew's Catholic Church of Hulett, Wyoming.
Bob enjoyed golfing, deep-sea fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He always enjoyed sharing a good joke and visiting with people. He will be greatly missed by all.
Bob is survived by his wife, Bonnie of fifty-two years of Oshoto, Wyoming; his children, Dianne Wenande McCartney and her husband Ron of Oshoto, Wyoming; Debbie Anderson and her husband Arlyn of Hulett, Wyoming; and Bill Wenande and his wife Marianne of Copenhagen, Denmark. He leaves behind six grandchildren, Sunny Roberts, Lacy Anderson, Lexi Anderson, Chris Wenande, Emily Wenande and Mikkel Hvidsteen. He had two great grandchildren, Magnus and Mille Hvidsteen. He also leaves behind a sister, Nell Moore of Lemmon, South Dakota; two nieces, Dee Kohn of Lemmon, South Dakota and Pat Ellis of Wasola, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Elaine M. Nelson
Elaine M. Nelson, age 60, of Gillette, Wyoming formerly of Jordan passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008 in Gillette.
Elaine was born in Jordan, Montana on December 14, 1947, the daughter of Earnest A. and Almeada (Johnson) Fogle. She attended schools in Jordan and graduated from Garfield County High School. Following graduation, she attended Miles Community College. She then worked for the Holy Rosary Hospital for a time before teaching country school at Cat Creek, Rock Creek, and Kester Country School in northeast Montana. She then moved to Great Falls, Cut Bank and then to Gillette, Wyoming in 1973 where she had made her home since. She worked for Coast to Coast and Western States Energy for several years before returning to College. Elaine received her Associates Degree in Business Management and Accounting, then going to work for Big Horn Tire, whom Elaine considered not only her employer but her extended family.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Brian Nelson of Gillette, WY; her mother, Almeada Fogle of Jordan, MT; a step son, Bryan Durocher of Austin, TX; a step daughter, Shannon Durocher of Spokane, WA; two step sons: Joseph Durocher of Tuscan, AZ and Darryl (Sheila) Durocher of Georgia; two step daughters: Michelle (David) Jerue of Springfield, MO and Roberta Stucki of Pocatello, ID; seven brothers: Ernie (Sandy) Fogle of Miles City, MT; Lyle (Kathy) Fogle of Gillette, WY; Robert Fogle of Glasgow, MT; Thomas Fogle of Jordan, MT; Steven (Laurie) Fogle of Corvallis, OR; Keith (Patti) Fogle of Glasgow, MT; and David (Julie) Fogle of Lewistown, MT; a sister, Judy Amos of Post Falls, ID; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, and a grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Jordan. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Rite of Committal will follow in the Pioneer cemetery in Jordan.

Earl Franzen
Funeral service for Earl Walter Franzen of Gillette, Wyoming will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at First Assembly of God with Pastor Orvil Holden officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home in Gillette, Wyoming.
Earl Walter Franzen, age 78, of Gillette, Wyoming passed away Monday, June 6, 2005 at the Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Earl Franzen was born to Henry Franzen and Nell (Wills) Franzen on November 22, 1926 in Sentinel Butte, North Dakota
Earl Served in the United States Army for four years. He received a World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal
He married Gloria Andreen on January 12, 1961 in Meeteetse, Wyoming. They moved to Gillette, Wyoming in 1962 where they had four children.
Earl worked for McCullough Gas for five years then he went to work for Ken & Rita Neal the owners of Gane Production from 1968-1988 and proceeded into the Oilfield Shop from 1988 to 1999 then retired in 1999. He enjoyed gardening, reading his bible, listening to the University of Wyoming’s sporting events and watching his six grandchildren.
Earl is survived by his four children, Becky & (Rob) Hoover of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Wayne Franzen of Gillette, Wyoming; Barb (Larry) Brooks of Gillette, Wyoming; Donnie (Jeanie Rae) Franzen of Gillette, Wyoming. Six grandchildren Ryan, Brandon & Jaymen Brooks; Josh & Hayden Franzen, and Caitlyn Hoover. Three sisters Pearl Nelson of Minnesota; Irma Schaffer of Montana; Cheryl Befuf of Riverton, Wyoming and one brother Maurice Franzen of Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers Al Franzen, Clayton Franzen, Jack Franzen, and one sister Marie Sell.
