Bruce L. Morgan
Former Cody resident Bruce L. Morgan, 72, of Dubois died May 9, 2002, at St. John's Hospital in Jackson.
He was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Erie, Pa., and was an honor graduate of Baptist Bible Seminary and earned a Doctor of Divinity degree from Manahath College, both in Pennsylvania.
For more than 50 years he traveled extensively throughout the country speaking at major Christian conferences, on college campuses, in hundreds of churches and to business and professional groups.
Bruce loved Wyoming and moved here in 1983. An avid fisherman he lived in Afton, Jackson, Cody and more recently Dubois.
He is survived by an extended family that loved him deeply and will miss him.
At his request, no services are planned.
Kevin Yat Lam
Kevin Yat Lam, 39, died May 24, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
He was born in Canton, China, on April 27, 1963, the youngest of three sons born to Yuk Bun Lam and Chui Ho Lui. His mother died while he was still an infant, and his father died when he was a toddler. The brothers then moved to Hong Kong where they were raised by their grandmother.
Kevin came to Cody from Hong Kong in 1988 to work in the family business, the Hong Kong Restaurant. He returned to Hong Kong and married

May on Feb. 23, 1989. A year later, they returned to Cody.
He loved his family and worked hard to support them. When he had time, he would travel with his family around the West and also returned to Hong Kong. He was well respected, as well as greatly appreciated by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife May, son Scott, daughters Laura and Tara, and brothers Steven and Christopher.
The family requests no flowers. A memorial fund has been established at Shoshone First Bank.
Margaret 'Marge' Dawn Wheeler
Margaret "Marge" Dawn Wheeler, 77, died at Powell Nursing Home on May 23, 2002.
She was born May 28, 1924, in Pearl, Ill., to William F. and Hyla Josephine (Johnson) Keller. On March 5, 1942, she and Forest "Bud" Wheeler were married

in Bowling Green, Mo. They moved to Powell in 1947.
She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her hobbies included baking, fishing, camping, doing puzzles, shopping and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Bud of the family home, sons Dan (Sherry) Wheeler of Thermopolis and Steve Wheeler of Cody, daughters Peggy (Phil) Schneider of Thermopolis, Brenda (Wayne) Wassink of Powell and Carolyn Wheeler of Worland, sisters Janice Fritz of Powell and Pat McPherson of Casper, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Elmer Wheeler, brothers Bob, Kenny and Jerry Keller and sister Shirley Kysar.
Visitation was Monday evening and funeral services were Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Powell. Burial followed at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to Powell Valley Hospice or a charity of choice.
Mickie R. Mangelsdorf
Mickie R. Mangelsdorf, 67, died May 26, 2002, at Deaconess Hospital in Billings.
Mickie was born July 18, 1934, in Torrington, to Mick and Johnnie Chitwood. She lived with her parents on the family farm near Morrill, Neb., until 1942 when they moved to Phoenix, Ariz. In 1947, following a brief return to Morrill, Mickie moved with her parents to a farm near Ellington, Mo. She attended Ellington High School.
At 15 Mickie moved to St. Louis, working in a variety of jobs to provide financial support for her parents during an extended illness to her father. In 1954 Mickie started working for Reynolds Metals Co. where she began dating Ray Mangelsdorf. In him she found a man to share many dreams and interests, as well as an avid dance and travel partner.

Feb 9, 1957. They bought a house in Hazelwood, Mo., where they raised their children, Raymond, Mark and Patricia.
Mickie lived for her family. She devoted herself to creating a wonderful home for them. Along with her infectious smile and laughter, Mickie did her best to share with them her love of words, knowledge, music and animals. She instilled in them her belief in the innate goodness of others and an appreciation for the beauty of the surrounding world. She imparted to them seeds of the personal relationship she enjoyed with her Lord and Savior.
Being an avid explorer of the U.S., Mickie, Ray and the family traveled extensively throughout the country, including frequent visits to western Wyoming. In 1984 an interest in being closer to her mother and a love of Wyoming led Mickie and Ray to move to Cody. They lived for the past 18 years on the South Fork, where they enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and feeding and caring for migrant wildlife.
Mickie is survived by her husband Ray of Cody, sons Raymond Mangelsdorf of Portland, Ore., and Mark (Kristina) Mangelsdorf of Dallas, Texas, daughter Patricia Mangelsdorf of Cody, grandchildren Julia, Emily and Stephen Mangelsdorf of Dallas, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant sister, Joyce Chitwood.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Ballard Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery.
Walter James Nelson
Walter James Nelson, 90, died at home May 26, 2002, surrounded by his family and friends.

Rhea Bringhurst on May 6, 1936, in Bennion, Utah. They were later solemnized in the Salt Lake City temple.
Walt lived and worked most of his life in Murray, Utah, and retired from the Murray School District. He was an active member of the LDS church and held numerous positions.
He is survived by his wife Rhea, children Janice (Alan) Muller of Powell, W. Lynn (Jeanette) Nelson, Richard (Judy) Nelson, Roger (JoAnne) Nelson, 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and sister Nora Walton.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Murray. Interment will be at Murray Cemetery.
