Paul D. Paschal Jr.
1949-2006
Paul Douglas "Doug" Paschal Jr., 57, of Wheatland died Nov. 10 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Denver, Colo.
Mr. Paschal was born June 18, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas, the oldest child of Paul Douglas Paschal Sr. and Betty Lorraine (Ferguson) Paschal.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Wheatland United Methodist Church with Pastor Skip Perry officiating and Dennis Lubbers as the eulogist.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wheatland Golf Course, American Cancer Society or to a charity for children.
The Gorman Funeral Homes - Platte Chapel of Wheatland is in charge of arrangements.
Phyllis M. Behrends
1925-2006
Phyllis M. Behrends, 81, of Pine Bluffs died Nov. 10 in Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 29, 1925, in Kimball, Neb.
She was a cook for Pine Bluffs Senior Center.
She married
William F. Behrends on Feb. 26, 1944, in Torrington.
She was a member of Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church, Past Matron of Order of Eastern Star, she taught Sunday and Bible School, was president of the PTA in Pine Bluffs, and served as the secretary treasurer of Saddle Club. She loved horses and painting.
She was survived by a son, William Behrends of Shoshoni; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Behrends; her parents, Alfred and Olive (Bader) Birt; brothers, Stanley E. Birt, Alfred Birt Jr., and Dale Birt; and a son, Richard Behrends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pine Bluffs Baptist Church with Pastor Dan DeBruyn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Weller, Jason Haynes, Aaron Behrends, Ken Macy, Skip Ray and Roy John Birt. David Branigan will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Friends may contribute to the Pine Bluffs Ambulance Fund.

Romona J. Helms
1967-2006
Romona J. Helms, 39, of Pine Bluffs, died Nov. 7 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver.
Miss Helms was born March 26, 1967, in Cheyenne.
She enjoyed her privacy and led a simple life reading and watching her favorite television programs.
Miss Helms is survived by five sisters, Lori Garcia, RosaLee Garcia, Frances Redden, Jane Saavedra and Maresa Marquez, all of Pine Bluffs; three brothers, Elvin Helms Jr. and Russell Marquez, both of Pine Bluffs, and Adam Marquez of Cheyenne; and 25 five nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wade George Helms, her mother, Michele Marquez and her father, Elvin Helms Sr.
Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. today at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Rev. Ray Rodriguez officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Bluffs cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rosendo Saavedra, Russell Marquez, David Garcia, Felipe Helms, Craig Garcia and John Frances Garcia.
Angelo H. Moore
1931-2006
Angelo Hugh Moore, 74, died Nov. 10 at the Veterans Affairs medical center in Cheyenne.
Mr. Moore was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Briggsdale, Colo., and had lived in Cheyenne for 50 years.
He was a member of American Legion and the VFW.
Mr. Moore was a flight engineer for the Wyoming Air National Guard and fought in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Moore whom he married
July 3, 1986, in Cheyenne; his sons, David Moore, Danny Moore and Harry Moore; a daughter, Wanda Moore; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Newton and Helen Rosalie Moore.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Friends may make memorial contributions to the American Lung Association.
Dorothy M. Carter
1914-2006
Dorothy M. Carter, 92, died Nov. 8 in Cheyenne at Mountain Towers Healthcare Center.
She was born Feb. 12, 1914 in Fremont, Neb., to Anton and Mary Johnson.
She lived most of her life in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the last five years in Hillsdale and Cheyenne.
She married
Hugh Carter.
She worked for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in Council Bluffs for 30 years in the trainmaster’s car department.
She is a former member of First Christian Church of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She was a Radio Talking Book volunteer for 30 years, reading over the air and recording books.
She is survived by her niece, Marilyn Repshire of Cheyenne, and other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Carter; children, Kenneth and Elaine; and her sister, Hazel Nystrom of Cheyenne.

Graveside services were held Monday at Westlawn-Hillcrest cemetery in Omaha.
Stephen C. Schneider
1943-2006
Stephen C. Schneider, 63, of Cheyenne died Tuesday at the Davis Hospice Center.
Mr. Schneider was born Oct. 5, 1943, in Enid, Okla., and had lived here for the past 4 years.
Stephen was employed by the City of Cheyenne and was a member of the Maranatha Volunteer International.
He is survived by his companion, Sandra Gabel; a brother, Ranger Schneider; and a sister, Janice Vartanian.
Mr. Schneider was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Geraldine Schneider.

James A. Schindler
1935-2006
James Alan “Jim” Schindler, 71, of Wheatland died Nov. 13, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.
He was born March 13, 1935, in Kimball, Neb., the son of Ina Mae (Penick) and Charles F. Schindler.
He was reared and educated in Kimball, graduating in 1953 from Kimball High School.
On April 21, 1957, he married
Delores A. “Dee” Ferguson in Kimball.
He was drafted in December 1957 and served two years in the United States Army. Upon his discharge, he returned to the family ranch, the V-Bar Ranch at Centennial. In October 1962, he moved his family to Wheatland. In 1961, he began an cattle artificial insemination business, retiring in 2002. During the off-season of his business, he worked for Blevins Manufacturing and also worked as Earl Blevins’ ranch manager from 1962-1994. He was the area representative for American Breeders Service for 41 years.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and of the Wheatland Country Club. He enjoyed yard work, cattle horses, woodworking and building.
Survivors include his wife, Dee of Wheatland; three children, Debbie Wheeler, Terri Pindell Jamie “Joe” Schindler, ll of Wheatland; a sister, Francis Christianson of Laramie; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles “Bud” and Dick Schindler.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
Funeral service will be Friday at the First Christian Church in Wheatland with Pastor Andy Gudahl officiating and Rex Johnson as eulogist.
Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Kimball cemetery at Kimball, Neb.
Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Prather, Rodger Schroeder, Rex Johnson, Brandon Pindell, Jason Pindell, and Cade Schindler.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Johnson, Bert Ziller, Tony Testolin, Richard Johnson, Shorty Juschka, and Don VanPelt.

Faith M. Cohick
1933-2006
Faith M. Cohick, 73, of Cheyenne died Nov. 13 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Mrs. Cohick was born on May 28, 1933, in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
She had lived in Cheyenne since 1987.
Mrs. Cohick was a housewife and a volunteer at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
She served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church, The Daughters of Union Veterans, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Disabled American Veterans.
Mrs. Cohick is survived by two sons, John Cohick of Cheyenne and Larry Cohick of Kempton, Pa.; two daughters, Susan Schmidt of Newport, Tenn., and Sandra Wright of Pine Valley, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Cohick on Jan. 5, 1991; her parents, George and Florence Allard; and by one grandchild.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Cremation will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Hiroshi Fujinami
1930-2006
Hiroshi Fujinami, 76, died Oct. 28, peacefully in his sleep in Bandung, Indonesia, where he lived for the last 25 years.
Born in Los Angeles, Nov. 8, 1930, he was relocated with his family during World War II to Heart Mountain interment camp in Wyoming. After the war, he moved to Meriden and graduated from school in Pine Bluffs. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash.
Prior to moving to Denver in 1966 with his first wife, Carmen and son, Gary, he lived in Cheyenne, where he worked at the Wyoming Highway Department.
He is survived by wife, Lany of Bandung; son, Gary (Kathy Andersen-Fujinami); grandchildren Devon, Loryn and Cassidy Fujinami, Arvada, Colo.; brothers Akira (Jane), Taylorsville, Utah, Akiharu (Sharon), Cheyenne, Terry (Peggy), Arvada, James (Debbie), St. Joseph, Mo., Victor (Cindy), Ore.; stepmother, Tetsu, Westminster, Colo.; former wife, Carmen (Mike); and cherished best friends, Jeff Luginbuel and Trudy Insalaco, Denver. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended Cheyenne family.
He was preceded in death by his father, George (Hichizo) Fujinami; mother, Francis (Shika) Fujinami; brother, Shigeru; sisters, Mae Shimizu and Ruby Fujinami.
The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fort Logan, Denver, Staging Area A.
Helen L. Griffith
1937-2006
Helen L. Griffith, 69, of Cheyenne died Nov. 14 in Denver.
She was born Oct. 8. 1937, in Wichita, Kan. She was a florist.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Cheyenne Little Theatre, Wyoming Seniors and Veterans Affairs.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Townsend of Texas and Eric Townsend of Cheyenne; two daughters, Brenda McMillan and Connie Jonson, both of Cheyenne; a brother, Warren Townsend of Kansas; two sisters, Betty Townsend and Mary Jane Townsend, both of Kansas; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Griffith and Mary Griffith; and a brother, Grant Griffith.
Private family services will be held.
Gene M. Johnson
1929-2006
Gene Marie Johnson, 77, of Cheyenne died Nov. 16 in Cheyenne.
She was born Jan. 11, 1929 in Afton.
She was a manager at Mountain Bell.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America, American Legion Auxiliary in LaBarge and AARP.
She was survived by her son, Gary Johnson of Highland Ranch, Colo., and Steve Johnson of Aurora, Colo.; daughters, Teri Johnson and Karen Johnson, both of Cheyenne; a sister, Bunny Hacklin of Pine Haven; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather; and three brothers, Doyle Hale, Jerry Hale and Carl Hale.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Beth El cemetery with Pastor Roger W. Rapp officiating.
Burial will be in Beth El cemetery.
