Willis J. Patterson
1919-2005
Willis Joe Patterson, 85, of Cheyenne died Feb. 9 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born May 14, 1919, in Grand Meadows, Minn.
Mr. Patterson served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a mechanic and welder.
Mr. Patterson is survived by a son, Darrell Patterson; two brothers, Robert and George; a sister, Myrna; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Berniece Patterson; and his parents, Joe and Myra Patterson.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Elsie Harris
1923-2005
Elsie Harris, 81,of Wheatland died Feb. 14 at Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
Elsie was born June 20, 1923, in Riverton to Carl and Eva (Keil) Manweiler. She graduated from Windsor High School in 1943.
She worked in Cheyenne for a time before moving to Wheatland, where she met her future husband. She married
Barton Maxie "Jack" Harris in Wheatland on Feb. 8, 1948. She worked at Platte County Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper, retiring from there in 1994. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and Memorial Baptist Church and was an avid Denver Broncos and Wheatland Bulldogs fan.
She is survived by her three children, Terry E. Harris and Teresa Harris, both of Wheatland and Paul B. Harris of Cheyenne; two sisters, Lillie Siegfried of Windsor, Colo., and Vi Riesig of Gering, Neb.; one brother, Paul Manweiler of Longmont, Colo.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, on Sept. 5, 1984; four sisters, Pauline Eckhardt, Dollie Rains, Emma Barns, and Bertha Murphy; and three brothers, Robert, Alex, and Howard Manweiler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Gorman Funeral Homes - Platte Chapel in Wheatland with Pastor Craig Cagle of Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Wheatland cemetery at Wheatland.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jared Harris, Ty Harris, Clyde Harris, Jeff Martin, Todd Harris, and Jim Reisig.
Family and friends may call at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 12 noon Friday.

Lucile Stalcup
1912-2005
Lucile Stalcup, 92, died Feb. 13 in the Palliative Care Unit at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kan.
She was born Oct. 6, 1912 in Fairfax, Mo., to Ethel (Peden) and C.J. Lackey.
She spent her childhood in Fairfax and graduated from Missouri State Teachers College (Northwest Missouri State University) in 1934 with a bachelor's of science degree in education and a master's of science in education at Ohio State University in 1938.
She was a teacher at Deerfield, East Heights, Hillcrest, New York, Sunset and Woodlawn elementary schools in Lawrence as well as other public schools in Kansas, Michigan and Missouri from 1935-1976.
Mrs. Stalcup was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was active for more than 50 years in the FZ Chapter of PEO and was a member in the society for women educators, Delta Kappa Gamma.
She was married
to Max Stalcup on July 19, 1940 in Baton Rouge, La.
She is survived by three children, Sharon Mendlick of Olathe, Kan., Mary Ann Stalcup of Pensacola, Fla., and W.M. Stalcup Jr. of Cheyenne; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, in 1998.
Private inurnment services will be in Pleasant Ridge cemetery in Fairfax.

Pauline E. Kingery
1906-2005
Pauline E. Kingery, 98, of Shawnee, Kan., died Feb. 12 in Shawnee.
She was born Aug. 4, 1906, in Maryville, Mo.
Mrs. Kingery married
William D. Kingery on Dec. 12, 1938, in Nebraska.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Newell R. Rake of Casper; a daughter, Sharon Jennings of Shawnee; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wheatland cemetery with Pastor Andy Gudahl officiating.
Robert F. Morrison
1926-2005
Robert Frank Morrison, formerly of Chugwater, died Jan. 25 at his home in Kent, Wash., at the age of 78.
Bob was born March 11, 1926, in Denver.
He grew up on a cattle ranch near Chugwater, but spent his working career as a professional airline pilot traveling the world.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Verla Morrison of Kent; son, Robert Morrison and wife Glenda of Tucson, Ariz.; daughter, Sharon Richardson and husband Terry of Cheyenne; and son, Scott Morrison of La Pine, Ore.

Ann E. Seidl
1903-2005
Ann E. Seidl, 101, of Cheyenne died March 9 at United Medical Center West.
She was born June 9, 1903, in Lankin, N.D.
She was a homemaker.
She married
James J. Seidl on Jan. 13, 1925, in Grafton, N.D.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and VFW Auxiliary lifetime member of Post 4343.
She was an avid bingo player.
Mrs. Seidl is survived by her sons, Michael Seidl and Stanley Seidl, both of Cheyenne, and Eugene Seidl of Carpenter; daughters, Grace Kudson of Bemidji, Minn., Shirley Wonch of Cheyenne and Dorothy Zwald of Fort Worth, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Seidl on Jan. 2, 1976; a son, Charles Seidl; a daughter, Bonnie Dendinger; her parents, Frank W. and Ann Bazal; brothers, Frank Bazal, William Bazal, James Bazal, Charles Bazal, Johnny Bazal, Eddy Bazal and Stanley Bazal; sisters, Mary Malafa, Alice Markus and Rose Bazal; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Schrader Chapel with Dr. Robert G. Walkley officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.

Betty L. Hodge
1932-2005
Betty L. Hodge, 72, of Cheyenne died March 9 at the Life Care Center.
She was born March 23, 1932, in Olney, Ill., and lived here since 1948.
Mrs. Hodge worked as a clerk for Union Pacific Railroad and a secretary at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
She is survived by a son, John Hodge of Cheyenne; a brother, Charles Britton of Concord, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Britton.
Private family burial services will take place under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Charles J. Burnett
1927-2005
Charles J. Burnett, 78, of Cheyenne died March 10 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Seminole County, Okla., and had lived here since 2000 with prior residence in Eufaula, Okla.
Mr. Burnett served as a medic in the U.S. Army and served during World War II, the Korean conflict and Vietnam.
He was an orderly at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Mont.
Mr. Burnett was a member of the American Legion Post 6 and VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Maida Burnett of Cheyenne; five sons, Jens Burnett and Melvin Burnett, both of Cheyenne, Dan Harper of Tucson, Ariz., Jessie Gonzales of Sheridan and Bob Zickefoose of Billings, Mont.; seven daughters, Karen S. Sweet of Kingsmond, Ga., Judy Sullivan of Arkansas, Kathy Lahey of Billings, Pam Edwards of Harden, Mont., Rita May Burnett of Kingsmond, Teresa Gibson and Debbie Nordlund, both of Billings; two brothers, L.T. Burnett of Haskell, Okla., and Therman Burnett of Okemah, Okla.; 27 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover C. and Eliza Ann Burnett; and two brothers, Bud Burnett and Short Burnett.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Delbert Hansen officiating.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Freddy Altman, Ric Gipson, Albert Altman, Bob Zickefoose, Lance Edwards and Jerami Plum.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Yeik, Terry Hall, Jessie Gonzales and Acie Bradford.
Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Honor Guard.
Friends may contribute to the Disabled American Vets or the VA Medical Center.
Mary Jane F. Dilg
1917-2005
Mary Jane F. Dilg, 87, of Casper died March 10 at Central Wyoming Hospice Home in Casper.
She was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Centralia, Ill., to Charles H. and Frances J. (Ross) Wesner.
She was raised and went to school in Odin and Centralia.
She married
Walter A. Dilg Dec. 5, 1937, in Centralia.
She moved to Casper in the summer of 1946.
She enjoyed reading, sewing, crafting, gardening and shopping.
She was a past matron of Rainbow Chapter No. 44 of the Eastern Star; past president of Past Matrons Club; past queen of Tamah Temple No. 73; Daughters of the Nile; past president of Zilah Club; Tamah Egyptians - serving as 1st Egyptian numerous times; Kheta Court No. 59; and Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, holding various offices. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She and her husband, Walter, founded Walt's Hobby Center in 1962 and operated it until February 1993.
She is survived by her children, JoAnn E. Kalkofen and her husband, Ron, of Cheyenne, and James W. Dilg and his wife, Martha, of Stephens City, Va.; two sisters; two brothers; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bustard's Funeral Home with the Minister LeRoy Heide officiating.

Allen F. O Brien
1991-2005
Allen Francis O'Brien, 13, died March 12 of cerebral hemorrhage in Tulsa, Okla.
Allen was born April 2, 1991.
Allen attended Oliver Middle School in Broken Arrow, Okla., where he was a member of the Academic Team, National Junior Honor Society, played the trombone in band and was a drama student. Allen was also active in his membership at St. Benedict Church, being involved in the youth choir, the Middle School Youth Group and the Dead Theologian Society. He was also a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 936. Allen was very proud to have been a previous member of The Tulsa Children's Chorus and The Tulsa Youth Chorale.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Julianne O'Brien; a brother, Sean O'Brien; a sister, Pamela O'Brien; his grandparents, Melva and Maurice Cummings of Hutchinson, Kan., and Jean and Richard O'Brien of Cheyenne; a great-grandmother, Mary Cummings of Blaine, Kan.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m. today at St. Benedict Church, 2200 W. Ithica St. in Broken Arrow.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Benedict Youth Ministries.

Donna L. Hansen
1935-2005
Donna L. Hansen, 69, of Cheyenne died March 14 in Cheyenne.
She was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Byers, Kan.
Mrs. Hansen was a bookkeeper for Burri Jewelers, Cheyenne Chiropractic Center and B & B Appliance, retiring nine years ago.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Hansen is survived by her husband, Richard Hansen Sr. of Cheyenne, whom she married
Feb. 16, 1954, in Kansas; three sons, Richard W. Hansen Jr. of Denver, Ron Hansen of Laramie and Roger Hansen of Cheyenne; a brother, Don Thompson of Cheyenne; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna Thompson.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Delbert Hansen officiating. Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
