Beatrice C. Silva
1921-2004
Beatrice C. Silva, 83, of Cheyenne died June 30 at Life Care Center.
She was born Feb., 8, 1921, in Romita, Juanajuato, Mexico, and had lived here most of her life.
Mrs. Silva was a teacher's aide for Laramie County School District 1 and she had worked as a locomotive cleaner for Union Pacific Railroad.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, American Legion Post 6 Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Cheyenne Mother Singers.
Mrs. Silva is survived by a daughter, Diane F. Moeller of Cheyenne; five brothers, Martin Caudillo of Longmont, Colo., Larry Caudillo of Denver, Jess Caudillo of Moscow, Idaho, Al Caudillo of Denver and Matt Caudillo of Gypsum, Colo.; five sisters, Janey Knowles of Pass Christian, Miss., Tula Aragon of Laramie, Jovita Merrill and Anna Vigil, both of Longmont, and Margie Padgett of Syracuse, Utah; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Silva on July 7, 2002; a son, John M. Silva; her parents, Francisco and Calletana Caudillo; and a brother, Porky Caudillo.
Vigil for the Deceased will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Funeral Liturgy will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Moss as the celebrant.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be David Moeller, Warren Moeller, Alex Garcia, Richard Camargo, Gilbert Camargo and Abel Camargo.
Friends may contribute to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or the Arthritis Foundation.
Iona F. Phillips
1912-2004
Iona Fae Phillips, 92, of Cheyenne died June 30 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.
She was born Feb. 24, 1912, in Butte, Neb., and had lived here since 1939.
Mrs. Phillips retired as a custodian for Laramie County School District 1 after 13 years of service.
She was a member of Cheyenne Brethren Church.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by two sons, Edwin Phillips of Cheyenne and Roy C. Phillips of North Platte, Neb.; a daughter, Sara "JoAnn" Gonsior of Cheyenne; a sister, Helen Brown of Laramie; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Phillips on Nov. 15, 1982; her parents, Roy and Antoinette Pretteman; five brothers; and one sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Dr. G. Emery Hurd officiating.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Lottie M. Lake
1920-2004
Lottie Mae Lake, 83, of Cheyenne died June 29 at home.
She was born Dec. 19, 1920, at Bear Mountain and had lived here most of her life.
Mrs. Lake was a waitress.
She was a member of River of Life Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 4343.
Mrs. Lake is survived by two sons, James Lake of Cheyenne and Donald Lake of Carpenter; a daughter, Carolyn Reeder of Cheyenne; two sisters, Edith Peters and Margaret Mohrlang, both of Cheyenne; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Lake; a son, Archie William Lake; her parents, Lewis Charles and Josephine Seifert; and a sister, Dorothy King.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Private memorial services will be held.
A reception will be held 1 p.m. July 11 at Orchard Valley Community Center.
Arthur Garcia
1952-2004
Arthur Garcia, 52, of Wichita, Kan., died at his home.
He was born March 1, 1952, in Arkansas City, Kan., the son of Alfred and Filomena Hernandez Garcia Sr. He was raised there and graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1971. Later, he attended Cowley County Junior College. He served in the Army National Guard.
While living in Arkansas City, he worked at Mauer-Neuer Meat Packing Plant and the Ark City Memorial Hospital. He married
Katherine Christine Bailey on April 24, 1981, in Wichita.
He was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance studios and worked at Excell Meat Plant. For the past 11 years, he was a manager for Taco Bell.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Wichita; two sons, Jeremy Garcia of Burbank, Calif., and Timothy Garcia of Wichita; two daughters, Camille Edwards and Shannon Garcia, both of Wichita; his parents, Alfred and Filomena Garcia Sr., of Arkansas City; three brothers, Alex Garcia of Arkansas City, Alfred Garcia Jr. of Cheyenne and Ruben Garcia of Arkansas City; two sisters, Teresa Krusor and Shirley Tapia, both of Winfield, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday. Both services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Arkansas City. Interment will be in Parker cemetery in Arkansas City with Father John Brundgardt officiating.

Wilma F. Goertz
1918-2004
Wilma Frances Gray Goertz, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died April 20, 2004, at United Medical Center-West following a stroke. She was 85.
Mrs. Goertz was born in Greensboro, N.C., on Sept. 24, 1918, to David Scroggs Gray and Clidie Leola McCuiston Gray.
She was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family and visiting friends.
She was a member of Hillsdale United Methodist Church.
She married
Leroy Goertz of Cheyenne on Sept. 17, 1947. Leroy died on Dec. 28, 2005.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Owen and Carole Goertz of Hillsdale; her sons-in-law and daughters, Mark and Judy Bednar of Chicago and Rod and Janet Sharpe of Yuma, Colo. She is also survived by her grandchildren, David, Laura and Gayle Michael, all of Yuma, Michelle Goertz of Fort Collins, Colo., T.J. and Lindsey Goertz Hollingsworth of Hillsdale and Will and Patricia Goertz Hardin of Virginia Beach, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, David Weldon Gray, Lonnie Hugh Gray, Joseph Irvin Gray and an infant brother; and an infant daughter, Karen Yvonne Goertz.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Northcutt Retreat Center in Hillsdale with the Rev. Delbert Dick officiating. Interment of the urn will follow at Hillsdale cemetery.

Bill R. Warner
1932-2004
Bill Robert Warner, 71, of Cheyenne died July 4 in Cheyenne.
He was born Nov. 9, 1932, on the Rosebud Reservation of South Dakota.
Mr. Warner served in the United States Army.
He was a heavy equipment operator at Granite Canyon.
Mr. Warner was a member of Operater's Union.
He is survived by two sons, Daniel Curry of Goode, Va., and Michael Curry of Almyra, N.Y.; a daughter, Sherry; his mother, Viola Warner of Cheyenne; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Edgar "Eddie" Warner; his father, Edgar L. Warren; and a sister, Philomene Bailey.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Richard Crocker officiating.
Cremation will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Doris I. Fuller
1924-2004
Doris Irene Fuller, 80, died in Vernal, Utah, on June 19.
She was born on Feb. 26, 1924, in Chariton, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd Arvin and Vona Gertrude (Buford) Byers. She married
Arnold Jesse Fuller on Dec. 6, 1940, in Ogallala, Neb.
She enjoyed time spent in the outdoors and fishing.
She is survived by her daughters; Marye Jane Comin, of Muskegon, Mich., and Janet Roth of Vernal, Utah; a brother, Chester Byers of Ridgefield, Wash.; and four sisters, Lucille Goudie and Wanda Seidl, both of Cheyenne, Dorthy Steege of Burns, and Margaret Wright of Searchlight, Nev.; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Arnold Jesse Fuller, on Jan. 17, 1989; her parents; and two brothers.
Services have been held at the Crandall Funeral Home.
Emily M. Neefe
1921-2004
Emily May Neefe, 82, of Cheyenne died July 3 at United Medical Center-East.
She was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Odessa, Neb., and had lived here since 1966.
Mrs. Neefe was affiliated with the Methodist Church. She was a member of DOE's, the sister organization for Elk's Club.
Mrs. Neefe is survived by two sons, John Neefe I of Cheyenne and Robert James Neefe of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Pansy S. Stirrat; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Neefe, on June 12, 2003; a daughter, Lory Shook; her parents, John and Pansy Schanou; two brothers, Jack Schanou and Cort Schanou; and three sisters, Darety Klopping, Lilly Barrett and Margaret Lockwood.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Jon Laughlin officiating.
Interment will be in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Georgann E. Seekins
1927-2004
Georgann E. Seekins, 76, of Cleveland, Ohio, died July 4 at Manor Care Center in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, following a short illness.
She was born Oct. 8, 1927.
She was a school teacher, having taught 20 years in Wheatland and retired in 1982 from Woodland Junior High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio, where she taught English.
She is survived by a brother, William W. "Gail" Seekins of Howland Township, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Robert H. Roberts-Clark Memorial Home, where calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. today.
Interment will be in Crown Hill Burial Park Vienna Township, Ohio.

Georgia Marie Parrish, 89, of Cheyenne died July 4 at Mountain Towers Healthcare Center.
She was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Lexington, Kent., and had lived here since 1981.
Mrs. Parrish attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
She married
Paul "Russell" Parrish in Coshocton, Ohio, on Sept. 7, 1956.
She is survived by a daughter, Roberta Parrish of Cheyenne; a stepson, Marvin Parrish of Loveland, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Russell" Parrish on Jan. 28, 1992; a stepdaughter, Jean Parrish; her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Patterson; a brother, Morgan Patterson; and two sisters, Zelma Kientz and Corrinne Nicholson.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Eugene F. Todd officiating.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. Interment of her urn will be in Warsaw, Ohio.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of St. Mark's Lay Eucharistic Ministry.
