Blanche L. Long
1913-2004
Blanche Leah Long, 90, of East Wenatchee, Wash., died June 7 at Blossom Creek assisted living facility in Wenatchee.
She was born Dec. 6, 1913, in Willard, Kan., and had lived in Cheyenne for 62 years.
Mrs. Long was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Good Sam Club, 4-H Club, sewing clubs and worked on the election board.
She is survived by a son, Larry Long of Brighton, Colo.; a daughter, Arlene Rich of East Wenatchee; two brothers, Alvin Miller and Carl Miller, both of Fort Collins, Colo.; six grandchildren, Arlen Long and Colleen Wallace, both of Cheyenne, Darrel Rich of Seattle, Marlen Rich of Pensacola, Fla., Pam Long of Denver and Shawn Miller of Fort Collins, Colo.; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Long on Nov. 2, 1990; and her parents, George and Myrtle Miller.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Mark Matney and the Rev. Delbert Hansen officiating.
Interment will be in Beth El cemetery.
Friends may contribute to the Alzheimer's Association or Faith United Methodist Church.
Frances V. Gonzalez
1917-2004
Frances V. Gonzalez, 86, of Cheyenne died June 10 at her home on Dey Avenue in Cheyenne.
She was born June 25, 1917, in Hastings, Neb., and had lived here since 1935.
She married
James P. Gonzalez in Sidney, Neb., in 1936.
With her husband, she was owner and manager of Jim's Electric until 1972. She worked as a home health care worker until her retirement.
She is survived by four daughters, Peggy Rosentreter, Jacqueline Gonzalez and Michelle Allen, all of Cheyenne, and Patricia Trujillo of Baltimore; a brother, William Zeiler of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters, Katherine Blake of San Diego, Virginia Turner of Lake Elsinore, Calif., and Mary Phillips of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Gonzalez; her parents, Catherine and Henry Zeiler; three brothers, Arthur Zeiler, Morris Zeiler and Robert Zeiler; and two sisters, Ruth Blake and Dorothy Pflug.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Friends may contribute to the Boys and Girls Club of Cheyenne.
Lois S. Birleffi
1920-2004
Lois S. Birleffi, 84, of Cheyenne died June 10 in Cheyenne at Life Care Center.
Lois was born March 16, 1920, in Washington, D.C. At the age of 6 she moved to Laramie with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Arnold P. Sturtevant, a noted bee scientist and professor. She attended the University of Wyoming where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, an outstanding figure skater and skier. She graduated with honors.
In 1942, Lois married
Larry Birleffi, who, with her support, became a legendary sportswriter and sportscaster in Wyoming. Together they raised three successful daughters, Lynn, Bobbie and Laurie.
In addition to being a homemaker, golfer, tennis player and avid Wyoming sports fan, Mrs. Birleffi was an active pillar of the Cheyenne community. She was a member of PEO, Chapter AD, Kappa Kappa Gamma and served on the board of the United Way Allocations Committee. She served as president of the Cheyenne Little Theatre and volunteered for many other community organizations. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and the St. Anthony's Circle.
Mrs. Birleffi is survived by her husband, Larry Birleffi; daughter and son-in-law Lynn Birleffi and Phil Noble of Cheyenne; daughter Bobbie Birleffi of New York City; daughter and son-in-law Laurie Rosen and Steve Rosen of Chevy Chase, Md.; and two grandchildren, Gracie and Frannie Rosen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Dorothy Sturtevant; and a brother, Robert.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral.

Lucille M. Stanfield
1909-2004
Lucille M. Stanfield, 95, died June 11.
She was born March 4, 1909, in Johnson, Neb. In 1912, her family moved to Egbert.
She graduated from high school in Egbert and then attended the University of Wyoming, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority.
Mrs. Stanfield was a teacher in Hillsdale for two years before moving to Cheyenne, where she taught at Clark School for six years until her marriage to Donald Stanfield on June 17, 1935.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and a 50-year member of P.E. O. Chapter Z and Order of the Eastern Star Oak Leaf Chapter.
She is survived by two children, Linda and Dick Doering of Cheyenne and Richard and Gretchen Stanfield of Roanoke, Va.; grandchildren Hank and Jennifer Doering of Cheyenne and Nancy and John Gustafson of Florida; great-grandchildren Eric Gustafson and Riley Holloway; her sister, Dolores Campbell of Caspter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, who died on Jan. 7, 1988; and her parents, Fred and Katherine Klugherz.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Schrader Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Max Kaser. Interment will follow in Lakeview cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hank Doering, Jon Campbell, Chad Campbell and Jack Mueller.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Gustafson, Ray Holloway, Jack Stanfield and Frank Holliday.
Sandra A. Miller
1941-2004
Sandra Ann (Pixley) Miller, 63, of Grand Island, Neb., died June 7 in Grand Island.
She was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Fairbury, Neb.
She is survived by her brothers, Jerry Pixley, Larry Pixley, Vernon Pixley, Jack Pixley, Ivan Pixley and Mike Pixley, all of Cheyenne, and Chuck Pixley of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and a sister, Ileana Elassor of Cheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Velma and Claire Pixley; and a brother, Norman Pixley.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday June 12 at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home in Grand Island with the Rev. Bob Lofegreen officiating.
Victor A. Walters
1956-2004
Victor Allan Walters, 47, of Pleasant Garden, N.C., died June 8 at his home.
He was born Dec. 3, 1956, at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne to Thomas F. and Sata K. Walters.
He graduated from Cheyenne's Central High in 1974. He served in the Navy in the Pacific Ocean from 1975 to 1983. He attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie.
He worked at Cheyenne Music and Vending in Cheyenne and Monfort Corp. in Greeley. He married
his wife, Sheree, in North Carolina where he worked for Cresent Vending Co.
He is survived by his wife, Sheree Walters of Pleasant Garden; his father, Thomas Walters of Warsaw, Ind.; his brothers, Robert Walters of San Diego and Glenn Walters and Larry Walters, both of Cheyenne; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sata Walters.
Arrangements are pending with Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home in Greensboro, N.C.

Lucille M. Stanfield, 95, died June 11.

Phyllis Keating
1922-2004
Phyllis (Craig) Keating, 82, of Cheyenne, died June 13 at Cheyenne Healthcare Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1922 in Eklaka, Mont., and had lived here since 1993 with prior residence in Watertown, S.D.
Mrs. Keating was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mary's Guild and Catholic Daughters in Watertown.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Kathy Keating of Wichita, Kan., Michael Keating and Michele Bordelon of Virginia Beach, Va., Patrick Keating and Nancy Kadous of Madison, S.D., and William and Caleen Keating of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Phyllis and Bill Gross of Pine Bluffs, and Mary Keating-Scott and Gary Scott and Theresa Brown all of Cheyenne; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Charles Craig of Mexico, and Roger and Ruth Craig of Tea, S.D.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Margaret and Bernard Hoffman of Harrisburg, S.D., and Vanette Satlak of Scottsdale, Ariz.; in-laws Dolores and Jim Simes of Brookings, Ore.; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Keating, on Nov. 30, 1997; her parents, Van and Ruth Craig, and a sister, Candace Adler.
Her special interest included watching birds, cooking, dancing, fishing, traveling and her strong Catholic Faith. Her greatest loves were her seven children, their spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her loving manner and beautiful smile will remain in our memories forever.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Donal MacVeigh as the celebrant.
Interment will be in Olivet cemetery.
Friends may contribute to Hospice, St. Mary's School or a charity of their choice.
Bennie F. Cue
1938-2004
Bennie F. Cue, 66, died June 10 in Cheyenne.
He was born March 8, 1938, to Merle and George Cue in Marshall, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Cheyenne; two daughters, Tammy Cue and Selina Cue, both of Colorado; two sons, Curtis Cue and Clayton Cue, both of Colorado; a step-daughter, Michelle Downey of Cheyenne; a step-son, Todd Bodendorfer of Cheyenne; a grandson, Kyle of Colorado; three step-grandsons, Daniel of Colorado, David and Drew, both of Cheyenne; and a step-daughter, Carrieann of Colorado.
A celebration of life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday the Eagles Fraternal Order, 1600 Thomes Ave.
Cremation has taken place at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Interment will be in Marshall, Okla.
Dean A. Lundy
1908-2004
Dean A. Lundy, 95, of Guernsey died June 14 at United Medical Center - West.
He was born Aug. 5, 1908, in Wheatland.
Mr. Lundy graduated from Wheatland High School in 1927. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1940 with a degree in vocational education. He taught in rural schools in Platte County and taught Vocational Agriculture at Sioux County High School for 34 years in Harrison, Neb., and worked on the pipeline.
Mr. Lundy was a county commissioner for 16 years in Sioux County.
Mr. Lundy married
Pat Blunt on May 28, 1932, in Lexington, Neb. After selling their home in Sowbelly Canyon, Neb., they moved to Guernsey in 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Lundy of Guernsey; a brother, Gerald Ray Lundy of Grand Junction, Colo.; a sister, Mary Gay Reeves of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Perry and Effie Mae Lundy; two brothers, Lee Wayne Lundy and Perry Jay Lundy; and two sisters, Vera Mae Cook and Virginia Faye Brown.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
No funeral services will be held.
Harriet W. Peterson
1927-2004
Harriet Winnifred Peterson, 77, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died June 9 at University Hospital in Denver.
She was born April 10, 1927, in Fargo, N.D., and had lived in Colorado Springs for 14 years and in Cheyenne from 1973 to 1990.
Mrs. Peterson is survived by a son, George Peterson of Denver; two daughters, Winnifred Eller of New Milford, Conn., and Gayle Peterson of Colorado Springs; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Peterson Jr., in October 1979; and her parents, Richard and Ella Johnk.
Graveside services for the interment of her urn will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the Rugged Cross Chapel in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roger Rapp officiating.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Friends may contribute to the Cheyenne Village in Colorado Springs or the American Cancer Society.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
