They recreated the barn, which housed the horses that pulled the early streetcars in Cheyenne, in their first home. It is now the home of Paul Smith.
Then they purchased the Hinkle/Brimmer mansion – now the home of the Michael Kellam family – on Carey Avenue and redecorated it with beautiful European antiques and paintings. They always entertained in a most elegant fashion, but had a knack for making visitors feel very much at home. They were fun people.
They decided to move to Portugal and they enjoyed many years there. Mr. Stamy passed away Mrs. Stamy decided in time to return to Wyoming. She lived near Sheridan for a time near the famous Eton Dude Ranch she had visited every summer in her youth. She had a Tennessee Walker, which she rode daily when the weather was nice. She and her husband always had two dogs – and she still had her two at the end. They will be cared for by a family in Sheridan.
She moved back to Cheyenne about three years ago – continued entertaining her friends as she always had – and traveled extensively, especially in the British Isles.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
