Helen M. Bridgewater
1960 - 2007
Helen Marie Bridgewater, 46, of Orlando, Fla., died March 29 in Orlando.
She was born April 4, 1960, in Cheyenne.
Mrs. Bridgewater was a member of Orlando Victory Church of Christ.
She graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1980.
Helen married Samuel Bridgewater Jr. on Oct. 23, 1982, in Cheyenne.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Bridgewater Jr. of Orlando; two sons, Samuel Bridgewater III and Brandon Bridgewater, both of Orlando; her mother, Beatrice Cosey of Cheyenne; six sisters, Minnie Waring of Hanahan, S.C., Mary Henry of Orlando, Henrietta Bolden of Davenport, Iowa, Linda Edrington of Cheyenne, Rosie Butler of Seattle, and Stephanie Little of Springlake, N.C.; three brothers, Ernest Edrington and Leonard Edrington, both of Cheyenne, and Jamie Cosey of St. Roberts, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Mrs. Bridgewater was preceded in death by two sisters, Jerry Brazzell and Eyvett Cosey; a brother, Walter Westbrook Jr.; step - father, Johnny Cosey; grandparents, Mary Gill and Carey James; two nephews, two uncles and four aunts.
Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel with Bishop Milton Ganison officiating.
Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Bridgewater III, Brandon Bridgewater, Ernest Edrington, Leonard Edrington, Jamie Cosey and Richard Bowman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Pearson, Keith Hayes, James Hayes Jr. and Eusebio "Sammy" Gomez.

Jean C. True
1924 - 2007
Jean C. True, 83, of Cheyenne died March 31 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Gloucester, Mass., and had lived here since 1955 with prior residence in Torrington.
Jean retired from the Albertsons Corporation and was a member of Cheyenne Alliance Church and Beta Sigma Phi.
She is survived by three sons and daughters - in - law, Donovan W. and Linda Bright of Twin Falls, Idaho, Kevin and Susan True of Cheyenne, and Patrick A. and Judy True of Nampa, Idaho; five grandchildren, Jaimie Lindley of Diena, Va., Wesley Bright of Eugene, Ore., and Adrianna, Amber and Kali True, all of Cheyenne; and four great - grandchildren.
Mrs. True was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Art" True in 1998; parents, Hugh C. and Edith D. Elwell; and all of her brothers and sisters.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Pastor Mac McSweeney officiating.
Interment will be at the Carpenter Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital.

Velma J. Askin
1930 - 2007
Velma J. Askin, 76, of Cheyenne died April 1 at Mountain Towers.
She was born Aug. 5, 1930, in Boise City, Okla.
She is survived by her children, Lynn Montoya of Cheyenne and Kyle Askin of Denver; five grandchildren; one great - grandchild and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and a sister.
Cremation Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory.

Virgil R. Cordingly
1920 - 2007
Virgil Robert Cordingly, 86, of Newell, S.D., died April 5, at Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care.
Virgil was born Dec. 2, 1920, on the family homestead at Upton, to Verne and Florence Cordingly.
He was a lifetime rancher and cowboy, having ranched and farmed in Upton, Moorcroft, Wheatland, Rock River and Colorado. He worked for Wakefield Trucking hauling uranium ore from Homestake Newhaven Mine to the Moorcroft Railhead for fifteen years and drove a school bus for Moorcroft School.
He married Lowella Leitner in 1945. To this union two children were born, Robert and Gary. They divorced in 1991. In 1992 he married Leola Hall. They were later divorced.
Mr. Cordingly is survived by his sons, Robert and wife, Teri of Wheatland, and Gary and wife, Kellee of Newell, S.D.; step - daughter, Maggie Peel and husband, Chris of Cheyenne; one grandson, Ty Cordingly of Rozet; two granddaughters, Kaycee and Bobijo Cordingly, both of Wheatland; six stepgrandchildren, Thomas and Emma Peel of Cheyenne, Allie Hall of Rock River and Missy, Jenny and Carlee Lloyd, all of Texas; one brother, Stanley of Thermopolis; and three sisters, Fern Blakeman of Sundance, Georgie Daphne of Tennessee, and Phyllis Cordingly of Thermopolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard and Kenneth and two sisters, Vivian and Lorraine; and Lowella Cordingly in 2001.
Funeral services are pending. Black Hills Funeral Home & Cremation of Sturgis.

Florence M. Ramsey
1927 - 2007
Florence M. Ramsey, 79, of Sun City West, Ariz., died April 3 in Sun City West.
She was born May 11, 1927, in St. Joseph, Mo., and had lived in Arizona for 12 years with prior residence in Colorado and Wyoming.
Mrs. Ramsey was a furniture salesperson.
She is survived by her daughter and son - in - law, Dixie and Dan Gallery of Castle Rock, Colo.; two sisters, Mary Jane Hodge - Guengerich of Peoria, Ariz., and Helen Teasley of Cheyenne; two grandchildren and their spouses, Cici and Richard Nock and David and LaVonne Daniels; and four great - grandchildren, Jackson Nock, Ashley Nock, Preston Daniels and Isabella Daniels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Ramsey on June 12, 1971; her parents, Franklin and Melba Lofflin; and a granddaughter, Linda Lee Daniels.
Services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with Rev. Max Janzen officiating. Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Bob Hodge, Ken Teasley, Chuck Teasley, Matt Teasley, Jeffrey Teasley, and Noah Teasley.

Julian Maxmino Jensen
2007
Julian Maxmino Jensen, 5 weeks, died Tuesday in Cheyenne.
Julian was born March 1 in Cheyenne.
He is survived by his mother, Christina "Shantel" Jensen of Cheyenne; grandparents, Jerry Jensen and Anna Marie Jensen of Cheyenne; great - grandparents, Juanita Jacoby and Max and Juanita DeHerrera, all of Cheyenne; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services are pending through Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

Mark D. Fisher
1958 - 2007
Mark Douglas Fisher, 48, died April 1 at his home in Casper.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1958, in Worthington, Minn.
He was a heavy equipment operator for JTL in Casper for 23 years. He was also a huge NASCAR fan and loved watching the races.
Mark is survived by a daughter, Devan Fisher; son, Kyle Fisher; his ex - wife, Verna Fisher; granddaughter, Emma; mother, Clara Fisher, of Cheyenne; brothers, Bruce (Lori) and Danny Fisher; sisters, Carla Brown (Jim), Jullie McMullin (Scott) and Cindy Brown (Todd); numerous nieces; nephews; great - nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Allen Fisher, brother, Gary Fisher, and grandparents.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, 314 E. Sixth St., Cheyenne, with a celebration of life following at Game On Sports Bar and Grill 112 W. 17th St., Cheyenne. Food will be provided.

Alta L. Holthus
1929 - 2007
Alta L. Holthus, 77, was welcomed home by Our Dear Heavenly Father at 10 a.m. April 9 at the Life Care Center of Cheyenne.
She was born June 28, 1929, in Alliance, Neb.
Mrs. Holthus has been a resident of Cheyenne since 1960 with prior residence in Alliance.
She was employed as the office manger for the U.S. Probation Department.
Mrs. Holthus was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the Cheyenne Artist Guild.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Gene Holthus, whom she married in Alliance on Jan. 2, 1949; three sons and their spouses, Daniel and Debbie Holthus and Bart and Marla Holthus, all of Casper and James and Lynda Holthus of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, Jeremiah D. Holthus, Devon R. Holthus, Kristin Healy and husband, Ryan, Dylan Holthus, Amber E. Holthus, and Dustin Holthus and wife, Kristin; one great - granchild, Kellan Healy; and one sister, Erma Hawley of Alliance.
Mrs. Holthus was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel W. and Alta Edith Colerick and one sister, Ruby Smith of Alliance.
Services are Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Reinert III officiating.
Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are Dustin Holthus, Jeremiah Holthus, Dylan Holthus, Ryan Healy, Dean Conine and Charlie Brown.
Friends who wish may contribute to Our Savior Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
