Lorenzo Lujan
1940 - 2007
Lorenzo "Gene" Lujan, 66, of Cheyenne died Feb. 7 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 19, 1940, in Las Vegas, N.M., and had lived here most of his life.
Mr. Lujan had retired as dock foreman for Consolidated Freightways.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, International Union of Operating Engineers and a lifetime member of the Elks.
Mr. Lujan is survived by a nephew, Michael E. Murphy of Gaithersburg, Md.; four nieces, Gina M. Lujan, Margaret Y. Lopez and Pamela R. Webb, all of Cheyenne, and Robin E. (Mike) Bollinger of Eau Claire, Wis.; great - nieces and nephews, Amanda M. Grimm of Cheyenne, Stephanie M. Johnson of Phoenix, David J.E. Grimm of Cheyenne, Jamie A. Doyle of Eau Claire and Jordan M.T. Lopez, Hero L. Webb, Nicomedes J.R. Lopez and Madison E.A. Webb, all of Cheyenne; and great - great - niece and nephew, Sydney A. Wilson of Phoenix and Davien J. Grimm of Cheyenne; and the many lives that he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicomedes and Cleofas Lujan; and three sisters, Lujanita Lujan, Mary Margaret Woolridge and Gloria Helen Bonds.
Vigil for the Deceased will be 7 p.m. today at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Funeral Liturgy will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Moss as the celebrant.
Interment will be 9 a.m. Monday at Olivet Cemetery.
Friends may contribute to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
Mary Ellen Whorton
1939 - 2007
Mary Ellen (Limon) Whorton, 65, a longtime resident of Winlock, Wash., went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Feb. 5.
She was born on Sept. 28, 1939, in Fort Collins, Colo., the daughter of Jesus and Angelina Limon.
She graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1957.
Mary Ellen had a great love for the Lord. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship of Winlock, where in her later years she served as a deaconess.
She would like to be remembered for her love of her family and friends.
Mary Ellen enjoyed flowers, cooking, preparing for large family gatherings and traveling. Special to her heart were the trips to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by Dean Whorton, her loving husband of 36 years; sons, Dan Ryan and Mike Ryan (Tanya) of Winlock, and Dean Whorton Jr. of New Jersey; daughters, Linda Ryan of Chehalis and Laura Whorton and Lesa Wasser of Winlock; four brothers; four sisters; and grandchildren Katie, Michael, Angelina, Nick, Angela, Anthony, Kyle, Victoria, Megan, Kenny and Ethan.
Viewing will be held at Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Winlock Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at the Christian Fellowship Church of Winlock.
Mary Ellen, mom, granny, you will be missed greatly.
Rosalie T. Hunt
1927 - 2007
Rosalie T. Hunt, 79, of Cheyenne died Feb. 6 at her home.
She was born on Nov. 8, 1927, in Lusk.
Mrs. Hunt has been a resident of Cheyenne since 1962 with prior residence in Fort Laramie.
She was employed by the State of Wyoming in the Duplicating Department and has owned and operated the Missile Mobile Court for 31 years.
Mrs. Hunt was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church and was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include two sons, Hollis and wife, Mary Hunt of Cheyenne, and Edward Hunt of Cheyenne; one daughter, Lanetta "Netta" and husband, Tom Burke of Cheyenne; nine grandchildren; 12 great - grandchildren; one sister, Linda Hageman of Douglas; and one brother, Floyd Thomas of Cheyenne.
Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hunt on June 26, 2005; her parents, Albert Edward and Thelma Lanetta Thomas; and by two sisters, Alberta and Joan.
A celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Garrard officiating.
Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens .
Pall bearers will be Carl Moody, Mike Bowen, Ron Hartwig, Tommy Burke, Rob Hunt and Randy Lavalleur.
Honorary pallbearers are all of her family and friends.
Friends may contribute to the Davis Hospice Center or the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
Services are under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
Carolyn F. McDowall
1932 - 2007
Carolyn F. McDowall, 75, of Cheyenne and formerly of Pine Bluffs died Jan. 29 at Mountain Towers Healthcare.
Mrs. McDowall was born Jan. 28, 1932, in Elm Creek, Neb.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. McDowall married Raymond Taylor on May 28, 1950 - he preceded her in death and then she married Dick McDowall on March 16, 1984.
They later divorced.
She enjoyed singing and playing piano.
She moved to Pine Bluffs in March of 1981.
She is survived by sons, Tim Taylor of Aurora, Colo., Warren Taylor, Gregory Taylor, both of Milliken, Colo., and Steven Taylor of Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother, Melvin Walker of Ogden, Utah; sisters, Marilyn Sisson of Pine Bluffs and Bonnie Hunter of Red Lodge, Mont.; 13 grandchildren; and five great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Taylor.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. today at Pine Bluffs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jane Keener.
Cremation Schrader's Sunset Park Crematory.

Riley J. Fornstrom

Riley James Fornstrom, newborn son of Mark and Susan Fornstrom, died Feb. 5 in Fort Collins, Colo.
Riley was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs.
He is survived by his parents; brothers, Ryan, Andrew, Christopher and Taylor Fornstrom, all of Pine Bluffs; grandparents, Robert and Jana Fornstrom of Pine Bluffs and Tim and Mary Novotny of Grand Junction, Colo.; great - grandmothers, Marian French of Longmont, Colo., and Beatrice Ryan of Grand Junction.
Private family services have been held.
Thurman Gile
1960 - 2007
Thurman Gile, 46, died Jan. 20 in Melrose, N.M.
He was born Sept. 29, 1960, in Hudson, N.Y.
To you Lord, we give to you our loving Father, Thurman Gile, as he ascends into heaven to join his wife, Helen and son, Vincent.
He leaves behind 10 children, Rose Gile of Ft. Morgan, Colo., Tammy Gile of Burns, Thurman "T.J." Gile Jr., of Rawlins, Barbara Peterson of Clovis, N.M., Denise Raines of Melrose, Lisa Farham of Cohose, N.Y., Betney Ferrill of Melrose, Paula Kress and Charles Kress, both of South Dakota, and Rose Marie Kress of Pocatello, Idaho; 40 grandchildren and five precious great - grandchildren.
We all miss him as we place him in your arms to bring him home.
Robert R. Deniston
1947 - 2007
Robert R. Deniston, 59, of Cheyenne died Feb. 3 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 17, 1947, in Cheyenne.
Mr. Deniston was a computer consultant.
He is survived by a son, Richard Rosner of Cheyenne; his mother, Helen Deniston of Cheyenne; a sister, Linda Smith of Denver; three grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Deniston Sr.; a brother, Joe Deniston; and his grandparents, Val and Martha Christensen and Frank and Hazel Deniston.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Schrader Chapel with the Rev. Bob Garrard officiating.
