Georgene A. Kircher
1932 - 2006
Georgene A. Kircher, 74, of Happy Jack Road died Dec. 1 at her home.
Mrs. Kircher was born Nov. 1, 1932, to George and Mary Thummel in Oberlin, Kan.
She attended school in Oberlin.
Mrs. Kircher is a former resident of McCook, Neb.
She married James Kircher on Dec. 29, 1954, in Indianola, Neb.
Mrs. Kircher was a cosmetologist at Chris' Hair Port.
She was a member of the American Hairdressers Association, St. Mary's Cathedral, Widow and Widowers Group of Cheyenne and the Moose Lodge.
Mrs. Kircher is survived by a son, Jim Kircher and his wife, Mick, of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Dorothy Kircher of Lakewood, Colo.; two grandchildren, Jennifer Kircher of Littleton and James Kircher of Laramie; two sisters, Anna Shrauner of Snohomish, Wash., and Bertha Simeon of Minden, Neb.; one brother, Joe Thummel of Salina, Kan.; and several nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Kircher in 2002; her parents; five sisters; and one brother.
The funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Cathedral with the Rev. Gary Ruzicka officiating.
Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Friends may contribute to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter or a charity of choice.
Pallbearers will be James Kircher, Joe Simeon, Steve Hall, Kenny Vontz and Terry McGowan.
Maxine M. Shenefelt
1932 - 2006
Maxine M. Shenefelt, 74, of Laramie left family and friends on Dec. 4 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie.
She lost a 10 - month battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born June 21, 1932, in Callaway, Neb., to Lawrence A. and Rhoda R. (Henry) Kraft. She was the oldest of five children.
The family farmed in Nebraska and Colorado before settling in Cheyenne.
She attended Cheyenne schools and at the age of 15, started working at the Owl Inn. She also worked for the Laramie County School District No. 1 and St. Mary's School as a cook, enjoying this time learning and working with young people.
She married Robert "Bob" Shenefelt on Sept. 17, 1949, at St. Mary's Cathedral Chapel in Cheyenne. To the union they were blessed with four children, Rebecca "Becky," Maxine, Mary and Robert "Bob" Shenefelt Jr.
Mrs. Shenefelt worked for King's Food Host in Cheyenne prior to the family moving to Laramie in 1970. Along with her husband and family, they managed King's Food Host in Laramie. Later they owned Bob's Family Diner. She worked for the University of Wyoming and Home Bakery.
At the time of her illness, she was a cook for the Ivinson Home for Aged Ladies where she cooked meals for 15 to 30 ladies and enjoyed every minute she spent with these special ladies and friends.
She was a member of St. Laurence O'Toole Catholic Church and the F.O.E. Auxiliary in Cheyenne.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; children and their spouses, Rebecca "Becky" and Chris Riley of Laramie, Maxine and Jim Titus of Cheyenne, Mary Reed of Brea, Calif., and Robert "Bob" and Ema Shenefelt Jr. of Laramie; two brothers, Raymond Kraft of Cheyenne and Charles Kraft of Hartwell, Neb.; seven grandchildren, Joanna Riley, Mark and Christopher Titus, Michelle Gibbons and companion Tommy Jones, Ronny Gibbon and companion Tracy Hale, Joshua Shenefelt, and James and Christine Reed; and seven great - grandchildren, Kathryn Titus, Dakota Titus, Nicholas Gibbons, Brody Gibbons, James P. Reed, Benjamin Reed and Augustus "Augie."
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Rama McClellen and Delores Chalupa.
Funeral liturgy will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Laurence O'Toole Catholic Church with the Fr. James Schumacher as celebrant. Graveside services and burial will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens in Cheyenne with the Rev. Fr. Ray Moss officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Shenefelt, Donald Shenefelt III, Ted Shenefelt, Joshua Shenefelt, Mark Titus and Christopher Titus.
Visitation will be held 2 to 6 p.m. today at Montgomery - Stryker Funeral Home.

Robert Morgan
1941 - 2006
Robert "Bob" Morgan, 65, of Burns and Granite Shoals, TX, died Nov. 29 in an automobile accident in Oklahoma.
He was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Washington D.C. to Freeman E. and Ruth Geraldine (Peterson) Morgan.
On Oct. 5, 1963, he married his life's mate, Theresa Sitterle in San Antonio, Texas. Through their 43 years of marriage, they would share a kindred passion for family and fun. In their last years together, they were rarely separated, and often went to work together. Wherever they went, their beloved black cocker, T.J., could be seen and heard. T.J. and Bob were inseparable in life, and now remain so forever.
In 1980, he retired as a technical staff sergeant with 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He then drove a school bus for Laramie County School District No. 1 for another 20 years, once more retiring.
During and after this time, he enjoyed part - time jobs, including being a truck driver, historic tour guide with the Cheyenne Street Railway and volunteer tour guide at Ft. Groghan in Burnet, Texas, and a substitute school bus driver with Laramie County School District No. 2.
Bob's involvement in life extended to many horizons, most notable his love of boats and Harley Davidson motorcycles, infatuations from his earliest years. He loved writing, target shooting and picking the banjo. During his Boy Scout years, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, became a member of the Order of the Arrow, and cultivated a lifetime love of outdoor activities and the desire to share them with family and friends. Most recently, he and Theresa had once more begun square dancing in Texas.
Outgoing, friendly, always ready to share a story again, willing to help anyone who looked to be in need, Bob will be missed by family and friends across the country.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa V. Morgan; daughter and son - in - law, Val and Dewey Martin; son and daughter - in - law, Tom and Deb Morgan; four grandchildren, Shawn Milligan, Morgan Martin, Kaleb and Tyler Morgan, all of Burns; two step - grandchildren, Jay and Justin Martin and families of Rapid City, S.D.; two brother and sister - in - laws, Don and Liisa Morgan and family of Reston, Va., and Dick and Chris Morgan and family of Fairfax City, Va.; and three families on his wife's side, Francis and Esther Sitterle, John and Mary Sawyer, and John and Barbara Ann Couhig, all of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman E. and Ruth P. Morgan.
Services are being handled by Schrader's Funeral Home of Cheyenne and will be held at a later date, pending the outcome of wife Theresa's recovery from the same accident. Cremation has already taken place.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Morgan, Dick Morgan, Shaun Milligan, Kaleb Morgan, Tyler Morgan, Jim Nahodyl, Elmer Hays and Chuck Jewell.

Ruby I. Nidelkoff
1915 - 2006
Ruby I. Nidelkoff, 91, of Cheyenne died Dec. 1 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 1, 1915, in Benkelman, Neb., and had lived here more than 70 years.
Mrs. Nidelkoff was a waitress at the Trail Café and Restaurant for many years.
She was an avid bowler, great cook and loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Nidelkoff is survived by a son, Dean Nidelkoff of Cheyenne; four grandchildren, Mike Nidelkoff of Cheyenne, Stacey Bittinger of Denver, Lori McCoon of Alaska and Brit Peterson of Washington; seven great - grandchildren; and two great - great - grandchildren; her goddaughter, Joyce Marchant of Cheyenne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy "Bobby" Nidelkoff on April 24, 2004; a daughter, Nancy Peterson; her parents, John and Minnie Griffith; two brothers, Floyd Griffith and Virgil Griffith; and five sisters, June, Marsha, Merle, Evelyn and Lethel; and a daughter - in - law, Meta Nidelkoff.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Elmer Wilhelm officiating. Interment will be in Beth El Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bittinger, Thomas Bittinger, Hans Marchant and Ambrose.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Nidelkoff.
Dora M. Reed
1918 - 2006
Dora Mae Reed, 88, of Lakewood, Colo., died Dec. 2 in Lakewood.
She was born May 2, 1918, in Pine Bluffs.
Mrs. Reed was a homemaker.
She married Charles Warren Reed.
Mrs. Reed is survived by sons and daughter - in - laws, Steve Reed and Diana Caldeira of Evergreen, Colo., Jim Reed of Golden, Colo., and Tom Reed and Lori of Evergreen; daughters, Beverly Reed Kahn of Nevada City, Calif., and Linda Reed Frazier and husband, Dean, of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren, Kevin Kahn, Christopher Kahn, Anna Kahn Lane, Jenn Frazier Levenson, Jeff Frazier, Kate Frazier Robertson, David Reed, Terra Reed, Conner Reed and Brian Reed; and seven great - grandchildren, Haley Kahn, Kyle Kahn, Megan Kahn, Matthew Kahn, Molly Lane, Dylan Lane and Sophia Levenson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Warren Reed; brothers, James Dolan and Thomas Dolan; and sisters, Margaret Dolan, Isabel Dolan Hilton and Elizabeth Dolan Razor.
Funeral Liturgy will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church in Pine Bluffs with Father Ray Rodriguez officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Bluffs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tom Reed, Jim Reed, Steve Reed, Kevin Kahn, Chris Kahn, Dean Frazier, Jeff Frazier, Conner Reed, Brian Reed and David Reed.
Friends may contribute to St. Vincent DePaul Society or to a charity of choice.
