Marcia Outka - 09/30/03
Funeral services for Marcia L. Outka, 49, of Gillette will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City, S.D.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday at Kirk Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City.
Survivors include her husband Frank Outka of Gillette; and her mother, Murle Ryan and a brother, John Ryan, both of Rapid City.
Kirk Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Rose Wagaman - 10/01/03
Rose Wagaman, 69, of Sundance died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at Campbell County Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Wagaman of Torrington and Kim Prauener of Moorcroft; one son, Michael Wagaman of Sundance; a sister, Betty Winkler of Pierre, S.D.; and one brother, Bob Heenan of Rapid City, S.D.
Arrangements are pending with Fidler-Roberts and Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance.
Gary Lee Marshall - 10/05/03
Gary Lee Marshall, 45, of Gillette, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, in Gillette. Arrangements are pending with Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home.
Spencer Tjessem - 10/06/03
Funeral services for Campbell County resident Spencer Dean Tjessem, 65, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Kadera of St. Matthew's Catholic Church officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial services will be at a later date in Michigan.
Mr. Tjessem died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003, at Campbell County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
He was born Nov. 18, 1937, in Chicago, Ill., to Spencer Sr. and Florence (Aird) Tjessem. In 1982 he moved to Gillette and worked as a custodian for Twin Spruce Junior High School for 17 years.
On Feb. 14, 1986, he married Beverly Harris. He also worked at Club Energize as a custodian for 16 years. Due to health reasons he retired in 2000.
Mr. Tjessem enjoyed spending time and traveling with his wife as well as hunting and working around the house. He also loved to visit and would talk to everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife of Gillette; two stepchildren, Cheryl Carlson and Sam Carlson of Michigan; and four stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Teddy D. Carlton - 10/06/03
Teddy D. Carlton, 69, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at his home in Gillette.

Marvin E. Flohr - 10/06/03
Graveside funeral services for Marvin E. Flohr, 37, of Gillette, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Kadera of St. Matthew's Catholic Church officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
He hanged himself on Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, in Gillette.
Mr. Flohr was born April 24, 1966, in Kimball, Neb., to Richard and Lorene (Prichett) Flohr. In 1968 he moved with his family to Gillette. He was raised and educated in Gillette, graduating from Campbell County High School in 1984. Upon graduation he worked with his father and when his parents became elderly and sick he cared for them until their deaths.
He was a history buff and a gun enthusiast. He was involved in re-creating old-time cowboy shootings, a hobby for which he traveled to many states to participate.
Mr. Flohr is survived by one brother, Rikk Flohr of Apple Valley, Minn.; five nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
His parents preceded him in death.

Jean Patterson - 10/22/03
Graveside services for former Gillette resident Jean Joan Patterson, 60, will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Joel Wright officiating.
She died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at her home in Arizona City, Ariz., of natural causes.
She was born Aug. 27, 1943, to Lena and Paul Patterson in Gillette.
She was a member of the Preceplor Alpha Mu sorority for 23 years and she was a member of Beta Sigma Phi-Laureate Beta Zeta. She enjoyed reading, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by two sons, Scott Hetrick of Lacey, Wash., and Jerry Hetrick of Albuquerque; two daughters, Dianne Kogan of Tucson, Ariz., and Joanne Warren of Port Orchard, Wash.; a brother, Jerry Patterson of Huntville, Utah; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Judith Wall.
Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
Margaret Henderson - 10/23/03
Services for Margaret Rose Henderson, 44, of Campbell County will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stevenson-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Amelia Hagen of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
Mrs. Henderson died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home of cancer.
Her hobbies were drawing, doing crossword puzzles, and going to town and drinking coffee with her friends. She loved teddy bears and giving hugs. Her favorite teddy bear was Bearbear, who has been with her for many years, and is with her today.
She loved cats and really liked elderly people. She also liked to cook and was an excellent housekeeper. She never also never missed an episode of the "Golden Girls." She especially enjoyed spending time with her special friend of 17 years, Leroy Weston of Gillette.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by one sister, Cynthia Williams of Mount Home, Idaho.
