Douglas W. Jones
1932 - 2006
Douglas W. Jones, 73, of Cheyenne died Oct. 1 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Jones was born Dec. 17, 1932, in Staten Island, N.Y., and had lived here for 36 years.
He worked in personal affairs at F.E. Warren Air Force Base.
Mr. Jones was a member of Allen Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, American Legion Carter Brown, and Western Star Lodge No. 6.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jones of Cheyenne; a son, Douglas M. Jones of Greeley, Colo.; two daughters, Karin Jones of Fontana, Calif., and Kimberlyn Draper of Cheyenne; five grandchildren, Kenneth and Kevin Jones, both of Fontana, Adam and Andrew Draper, both of Cheyenne, and Keith Jones of Greeley.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Jones; and a sister, Margaret Oliver.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel with the Rev. Carieta Cain Grizzell officiating. Interment will be in Beth El Cemetery.
Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 6.
Alyce M. Prickett
1915 - 2006
Alyce Marie Prickett, 91, of Cheyenne died Sept. 29 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born March 14, 1915, in Alliance, Neb.
On March 10, 1935, she married Lloyd E. Prickett in Gering, Neb.
She was a fashion merchandiser at J.C. Penney.
She was a lifetime member of Rebekah Lodge.
Mrs. Prickett is survived by her son, Gordon R. Prickett of Cheyenne; Mavis A. Dale of Cheyenne; two brothers, the Rev. Earl Osnes of Anderson, Ind., and Richard Osnes of Scottsbluff, Neb.; two sisters, LaVeda Waller of Gering, Neb. and Emolyn Skinner of Grand Forks, N.D.; three grandchildren; one great - grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd E. Prickett, on March 25, 1998; her parents, Alfred and Irene Osnes; and two sisters, Florence Graves and Myrtle Capper.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Schrader Chapel. The Rev. Kurt Borgaard will officiate. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.

Rudeen C. Malm
1923 - 2006
Rudeen Carl "Bud" Malm, 83, of Cheyenne died Sept. 29 at Cheyenne Health Care Center.
He was born March 10, 1923, in Pine Bluffs.
Mr. Malm was a lifetime resident of Laramie County. He graduated from Albin High School and attended the University of Wyoming and John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark.
Mr. Malm was a rancher and farmer. He was a charter member of the Pine Bluffs Baptist Church and served as deacon, trustee and adult Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Rocky Mountain Baptist Conference. He also served as a trustee for Laramie County School District 2; served there years in the U.S. Navy; was an officer of the Gillette Scholarship Committee; and was an avid pool player.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, whom he married July 24, 1947, in Siloam Springs, Ark.; a son, Stephen R. Malm of San Jose, Calif.; a son and daughter - in - law, Randall and Susan Malm of Cheyenne; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lauren Malm of Laramie; and three sisters, Margaret Berry of Cheyenne, Louise Etchings and Geraldine Wenzel of San Diego.
Mr. Malm was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Carl Malm; an infant son, Norman Carl; two brothers, Gene Malm of Fort Collins, Colo., and Glenn Malm of Albin; and one sister, Gertrude McCoy of Garden Grove, Calif.
Internment of the urn will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Pine Bluffs Cemetery and a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Pine Bluffs Baptist Church.

Lois M. Dumitrescu
1932 - 2006
Lois Margaret Dumitrescu, 73, of Cheyenne died Oct. 2.
She was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Menasha, Wis.
Mrs. Dumitrescu graduated from St. Mary's in Wisconsin.
She married Emile Dumitrescu and settled in California.
Mrs. Dumitrescu enjoyed shopping, doing puzzles and watching movies.
She is survived by her four daughters, DeeDee Nelson of Peoria, Ariz., Denise Lienemann of McCook, Neb., Diane Prahl of Cheyenne, and Debbie Matsen of Corona, Calif.; three brothers, Bobbi, Ronald and Roger, all of Wisconsin; three sisters, Emagene, Carol and Janie, all of Wisconsin; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Dumitrescu was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Genieve Schierl.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

Anna C. Humphrey
1921 - 2006
Anna C. Humphrey, 84, of Cheyenne died Oct. 2 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 15, 1921, in Burns.
Mrs. Humphrey taught school in the rural areas of Laramie County before marrying Delbert C. Humphrey on Sept. 20, 1942, in Palacios, Texas, and moving to Cheyenne.
She then worked for 22 years at First Wyoming Bank. After retiring, Anna returned to her love of teaching by becoming a foster grandmother.
Mrs. Humphrey enjoyed working with the children and staff of Afflerbach Elementary for the past 13 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Humphrey will be greatly missed by her children, Elizabeth Campbell of Cheyenne, Della and Gene Grams of Grand Junction, Colo., Mitchel and Pat Humphrey and Helen and Todd Stalker, all of Cheyenne; grandchildren, Shelly (Grams) and David Heck of Gilbert, Ariz., Carrie (Campbell) and Joseph Selfridge, John and Shelly Humphrey and Sherie Grannan, all of Cheyenne; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Polly Poteet of Sheridan; and one brother, John McDowell of Maryland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert C. Humphrey; a grandson, Delbert M. Humphrey; her parents, Walter and Belle McDowell; and two brothers, Parmer and Willard McDowell.
The funeral is 3:30 p.m. Friday at Wiederspahn - Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes with the Rev. Nadine Korhonen officiating.
Interment will follow at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
