She grew up and graduated high school in Sheridan. She worked at Capital Drug Store for many years. Later she worked as a cleaning lady for Healy Law Office for several years. She enjoyed raising African Violets, painting, decorating and art work. She loved to write poems.
Preceded in death by her parents; brother Allen "Bud" Bickel; and sister Goldie Halverson.
SURVIVING RELATIVES
Three nieces and one nephew.
Memorial service will be at a later date.

Glen Nicholson, 74, of Sheridan, WY, died Monday, March 31, 2003 in the Sheridan V. A. Medical Center.
Mr. Nicholson was born February 5, 1929 in Prince Edward Island, Canada to Archie and Katherine May (MacDearmind) Nicholson. He grew up on a farm homestead owned by his father in Moffit, N. D. and attended a country school in Moffit and High School in Bismark, N.D. Mr. Nicholson joined the Army when he was 17 years old and served two years from 1946 to 1947.
He married Geraldine Lund in 1963 in Sundance, WY. They were married for 40 years.
Mr. Nicholson was a painting contractor in Sheridan for many years. He enjoyed antique cars, loved to work in the yard, enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his dog, "Bugsy." He also loved to try his luck at the lottery, and loved to stir up trouble.
Mr. Nicholson was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine of Sheridan; one son, Scott of Spokane, WA; two daughters, Susan Amsden of Chandler, AZ and Dixie Egan of Sheridan, WY; two step- daughters, Pat Wilson of Sheridan, and Marcia Wickman of Pahrump, NV; three step-sons, Bob Reinholt of Denver, CO, and Kenneth and Steve Reinholt, both of Sheridan; 22 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. Nicholson will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2003 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home for his family and friends. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

John B. Partington, 79 of Sheridan passed away on Friday, March 28, 2003 at the VA Medical Center in Sheridan. Graveside services with military honors will be held on Wednesday, April 2 at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Donald Steve Rodell, 70, of Sheridan, WY, died Thursday, March 27, 2003 in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Mr. Rodell was born November 29, 1932 in Alliance, NB to Steve and Frances (Ogle) Rodell. He grew up and attended schools in Alliance, NB, graduating from Alliance High School. Mr. Rodell attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts graduating in 1964. He was a commercial artist, and later became very well known as a superb wildlife artist.
Mr. Rodell was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and his first wife. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Sheridan, WY; 2 sons, Mike Rodell and his wife, Lynn, of Casper, WY; Greg Rodell and his wife, Lesley, of Bailey, CO; 2 stepdaughters, Angie Gilbert and her husband, Rich, of Story, WY; and Cynthia Puchek and her husband, Steve, of Dillon, CO; 1 granddaughter, & 2 step-great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mr. Rodell will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 31, 2003 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with the Reverend David Duprey officiating. Burial of Cremains will be in the Highland Cemetery, in Casper, WY at a later date. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home. A full obituary will follow at a later date.

Albertina M. Brown, 88, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.
Mrs. Brown was born on September 9, 1914, in Switzerland. She was raised in Switzerland and emigrated to the United States in 1958. She went to Montana where she worked on various ranches around the Lewistown, Roundup and Melstone areas. She then moved to Wyoming, where she met the love of her life, Samuel J. Brown, and was married to him for 20 years. Tina was a great host, whose door was always open for anyone to come in and visit to have a piece of her strawberry pie or a meal. She took pride in her home and was especially proud of her many beautiful flowers and yard.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brother Alois Machler; and her two sisters Elizabeth Tchudy and Josefina Voegely. She is survived by her two brothers Karl Machler and Benedikt Machler, her sister Rosa Kennel, and her sister-in-law Emilie Birchler Machler, all of Switzerland; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Cremation has taken place in Sheridan. The Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2003, at Kane Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at Kane Funeral Home with The Reverend Ron Stolcis officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Tanya M. Herring, 30, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at Deaconess Medical Center in Billings, Montana.
Tanya was born on June 26, 1972, in Utica, New York, to William H. and Sandra (Legacy) Herring. She spent the majority of her childhood in Dayton, Wyoming, and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1991. Tanya worked as a care giver in elder care, and volunteered at the Big Horn Mountain Eagles Lodge #4169 calling Bingo. She loved her cat Gizmo, who was her faithful companion, and spent every minute she could with her beloved nieces and nephews.
Ms. Herring is survived by her parents William and Sandra Herring of Sheridan; her brother Thomas Herring of Cheyenne; her sister Tina Walker of Fort Collins, Colorado; her grandfather Shirley Herring of Hobe Sound, Florida; and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Kane Funeral Home. Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
The family has requested that memorials be made in Tanya's name to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter or the donor's choice.
Ralph M. Hults, 93, of Lodge Grass, Montana, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2003.
Ralph was born on October 22, 1909, in Sheridan County, Wyoming, to Edgar F. and Jessie (Irwin) Hults. Ralph attended school in Sheridan, and following high school, he co-owned the Hults Brothers Ranch in Lodge Grass, Montana, with his brother "Red", and had a reputation for being one of the most dedicated stockmen around. He played softball with the Decker league, and loved animals.
Mr. Hults was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and an infant brother; his two sisters, Roberta McDaniel and Margaret Shreve; his sister-in-law Harriet Hults; and his brother-in-law Frank Shreve. He is survived by his niece Patricia Breen and her husband Bill of Lodge Grass, Montana and his nephew Dr. Richard Hults of Texas.
Cremation has taken place in Sheridan, and no services will be held at this time. Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services for Cynthia M. Harrod, 90, of Sheridan, Wyoming, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at the chapel at Mount Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Douglas Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Mount Pisgah Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. at the Mount Pisgah Chapel. Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Harrod died Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan.
Cynthia was born July 15, 1912, at the homestead at Rockypoint, Wyoming, to Oliver and Cora (Minten) Hemenway. She attended grade school at Rockypoint and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1928. After graduation, she attended normal teacher training and taught for several years.
On May 11, 1935, she married Glenn Harrod in Sheridan, Wyoming. The couple ranched in the Weston area north of Gillette for over 40 years. Cynthia enjoyed raising her family, growing a large garden, cooking, reading, sewing, and being involved in her church. After moving to Sheridan in 1976, she became more involved in the First Christian Church. Mrs. Harrod resided at Westview Health Care Center since May 2001.
She is survived by her husband Glenn of Sheridan; daughter Normalee Materi of Upton; son Joe and wife Jacque of Worland; son Vic of Weston; and daughter Connie and husband Truett Cooper of Denver; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister Darlene Hart and husband Russ of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada; and eleven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Robert "Bobby" Lackman, 61, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at his residence due to complications from Diabetes.
Bobby was born on January 11, 1942, in Sheridan. He was the son of Alex and Helen (Aksamit) Lackman. He was raised in Sheridan, and graduated from Sheridan High School. Bobby entered the U.S. Air Force in 1962, and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1966. He loved spending time in the Big Horn Mountains and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Bobby was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Helen, of Sheridan; his brother, Jerry, of Sheridan ; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Cremation has taken place in Sheridan, and the family is honoring Bobby's request for no memorial services. Kane Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Grace Cooley age 89, of Dayton, WY

Born November 2, 1913, in Dewey, Oklahoma
Parents - Grant & Viola (Graham) Kepp
She grew up in Oklahoma and in Lamar, CO, where she graduated from high school. She married Wilbur Cooley on September 3, 1931, in Lamar. The came to Dayton in 1932. They traveled around to construction sites until they retired. She was a member of the Dayton Benefit Club since 1934. She enjoyed crocheting rugs, embroidery, sewing and made quilts for all the family.
Preceded in death by one son Robert; her husband in 1991; one brother Ralph and one sister Viola Mae.
