Janet J. Gay, age 82, formerly of Horner, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, in Nella's Inc. of Elkins, following an extended illness.
She was born in Weston on Nov. 16, 1932: daughter of the late Roland Belt and Agnes (Blake) Belt.
She was married to Lawrence "Bob" Gay, who preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 2012.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Ables of Copley and Cheryl (Mike) Phares of Linn; two sons, Roger (Amy) Gay of Lake Floyd and Robert (Candice) Gay of Weston; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two brothers, Scott and William "Tony" Belt, both of Weston; three sisters, Catherine Sumpter and Susan Moneypenny both of Weston, and Helen Harris of Lost Creek and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bob, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roland "Pepper" and Ronald "Dick" Belt and one sister, Mary Ellen Robinson.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Horner United Methodist Church of Horner, and was a graduate of Weston High School.
Family and friends will be received at the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home, 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Wednesday, March 4, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Wease Day officiating.
Interment will follow services in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Jane Lew.

Naomi June Turner
Naomi June Turner, age 80, of Middle Run Road in Weston, passed away peacefully at 5:35 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness.
She was born in Weston on June 23, 1934: a daughter of the late Claude Clay Turner and Florida Paugh Turner.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; three great-great-nieces and nephews; two brothers, Matthew Turner of Weston and Elwood Turner of Walkersville; and Lucy and Callie, her beloved Sheltie and cat, who miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she will be reunited with seven siblings who have already made their journey to Heaven, Doshia Turner, Lavaughn Marks, Vaughnless Reed, Wanda Kaylor, Sherwood Turner, Lydia Ervin Turner and Burdett Turner.
She was a retired health aide from the Weston State Hospital with over 30-years of service.
She was gifted with a green thumb and treasured her time spent in the garden, especially when teaching the little ones how to tend to the plants to help them flourish.
She also enjoyed feeding the birds, sewing and crafting dolls, collecting cookbooks, stamps and vases and baking treats for the family.
Friends and family will gather for a graveside service at the Masonic cemetery in Weston at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, with Beverly Talbert officiating.

Frederick Arnold Arbogast
Frederick "Fred" Arnold Arbogast, age 86, of Broad Run in Jane Lew, passed away at 11:20 a.m. in the arms of his loving wife, on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston, following two strokes and an extended illness.
He was born in Lewis County on Jan. 7, 1929: a son of the late Albert Arbogast and Daisey Frashure Arbogast.
He first married the former Loretta McCoy Marsh who passed away in 1971.
Then, on Sept. 14, 1964, he married the former Geneva Irene Ice and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year.
His giving, kind-hearted spirit will be carried on by their three children, David Arbogast of Seymour, Tenn., Pamela Johnson of Midlothian, Va., and Chris Arbogast of Jane Lew; seven grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Chad, Jessica, Miranda, Morgan and Justin; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Lipinski of S.C., Marie Rhoades of Meadsville, Pa. and Helen Kunzman of Bradenton, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved pets, Angel and Momma Cat.
In addition to his parents, he will be reunited in heaven with several family members, including two daughters, Susan Elaine Arbogast and Janet Sue Arbogast; one sister, Ruth Horne; and one brother, Ted Arbogast.
Fred was an honored veteran of the U.S. Army, and a devoted retiree of the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg with many years of service as a medical technician.
He also owned and operated Fred's Dairy King on West 2nd Street in Weston for several years.
He was a member of the Broad Run Baptist Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and ginsenging.

Blanche Cowgar Fuller
Blanche Cowgar Fuller, daughter of Clyde and Selena Cowgar, passed away March 31, in Ala.
She was born and raised in Crawford and graduated from Walkersville High School.
She is survived by her husband Bill, retired Lt. Col.; sons, William (Sarah) of Mass. and Robert (Carol) of Mich.; and four grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters, Elsie of Nev., and Shirley and brother-in-law, A. H. of Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by two sisters, Ruby and Betty.
Interment will be in the Arlington National cemetery at a future date.
Russell P. Rockwell
Russell P. Rockwell, age 92, of the Waldeck Community of Weston, formerly of Vadis, passed away at 3:20 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2015, in the Genesis Center in Glenville, following an extended illness.
He was born in Indiana on Nov. 25, 1922: a son of the late Myran Rockwell and Leola Gifford Rockwell.
He was happily married to Marion Rockwell and cared for her for many years before her passing.
He is survived by his close friends, Betty Rush and husband, Jack, of Waldeck, Margaret Copenhaver and husband, Chuck, of Weston, Mary Ann Murray and husband, Ed, of Weston and Mindy Hall of Weston.
They deeply miss their dear friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his close friend, Lois Berry.
Russ was a charismatic gentleman who worked as a mail carrier for the USPS for many years.
His true passions were farming, traveling and cooking.
His neighbors describe him as a "one in a million" friend who was caring, giving and always willing to lend a hand.
His was able to live most of his life at his Waldeck home where he had a treasure trove of cherished memories.
Russ' request for cremation has been honored and his friends will have a Celebration of Life Service at the Waldeck United Methodist Church at a later date with Rev. Russell Furr officiating.

Garnet A. Bots
Garnet A. Bots, age 92, of Vens Run Road in Jane Lew, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family, following an extended illness.
She was born in Lincoln County on Nov. 11, 1922: a daughter of the late Eppie Lorenza Scites and Minnie Jane Dailey Scites.
On Jan. 23, 1954, she married Roy H. Yeager and they celebrated 10-years of marriage before his passing on Dec. 23, 1964.
Then on Oct. 2, 1978 she married Joseph M. Bots and they enjoyed 26-years of marriage before his passing on March 25, 2005.
Her generous and loving spirit will be carried on by her daughter, Linda (Leland) Freeman of Jane Lew; four grandchildren, Dwayne (Lisa) Freeman of Creston, Ohio, Pamela Holcomb of Lodi, Ohio, Debra Nixon of Jane Lew, Melissa (Walter) England of Sullivan Ohio; 13 great-grandchildren, Aaron, Ethan and Tiffany Freeman, Matthew (Riley), Todd and Kristen Warner, Justin, Freeman (Katherine), Benjamin Nixon, Jerod, Garrett, Carly and Lyndsy England; four great-great-grandchildren, Emma Eckenfels, Daxton and Zane Freeman and Cade Warner; two step-great-great-grandchildren, Alexa Riffel and Gabriella Klinect; one step-son, Douglas Bots of Washington, Oreg; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends from Ohio and W.Va.
She quietly entered her journey to join family who had already gone to Heaven. In addition to her parents, she will be reunited with three brothers, Arnold, Earl, and Freeman Scites; five sisters, Ermal, Arnie, and Shirley Scites Johnson, Marie Scites Click, and Zelma Scites McCoy.
She worked as a restaurant cook and as a skilled seamstress in factories during her young life.
In later years, she was a loving and devoted homemaker who worked diligently to care for her family.
She had an unwavering faith in God and was an Angel of Service who was always willing and volunteering to help those in need.
She devoted countless hours tending to her garden and took great pride in her beautiful flowers.
Mamaw's eyes would sparkle with unconditional love and adoration for the little ones in the family, who were the light of her life, and her greatest treasure.
