CHARLESTON — Billie Coleman, 80, died on Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at CAMC General Division of a long illness.
Born July 22, 1925, in St. Petersburg, Fla., she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Lyttle.
She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Bruce, who died in 1948; sisters, Ruth Hale and Nellie Brown; and a brother, Howard Russell Lyttle.
Mrs. Coleman attended South Charleston High School, graduating in 1941. She moved to Washington, D.C., briefly, and worked for the FBI. She later worked for and retired from Montgomery Ward in Charleston.
She is survived by four sons, Gary Thomas and his wife, Judy, of Beckley, Michael Thomas and his wife, Sherry, of Charleston, James “Rick” Thomas of Charleston, Jeffrey Thomas of Pinch; and a daughter, Linda Lamm and her husband, Terry, of Pinch.
She will be tremendously missed by her five kids and their families, 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Arbogast of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Adelia Anderson of Lake City, Fla.; and a brother, William Bruce Lyttle of North Carolina.
Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Keller Funeral Home, 1236 Myers Ave., Dunbar, with Pastor Rodney Skeens of Word of Faith Assembly in Daniels, officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Saturday at Keller Funeral Home.

Anthia Godby, 89, formerly of Beckley and Wayside, residing in Bluefield, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005.

Gerald Harry Hambrick
Gerald Harry Hambrick, 74, of Daniels, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Hilltop Center following a short illness.
Born Feb. 15, 1931, he was the son of the late Harry Hambrick and Irene Wiley Hambrick.
Mr. Hambrick worked as a mechanic having last worked at Mountaineer Boat Sales.
He was a member of the Daniels Missionary Baptist Church and served as a deacon for 32 years. He was an avid ham radio operator and U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Brian and Conrad Hambrick; grandchildren, Stephanie and Jason Adkins; and a great-grandchild, Zachary Hambrick.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jean Humphrey Hambrick; children, Roger Hambrick and wife, Nellie, of Beech Island, S.C., David Hambrick and wife, Deborah, of Daniels, Janey Adkins of Shady Spring, and Linda Farris and husband, Dennis, of Daniels; grandchildren, Scott Hambrick and wife, Christie, Brian Hambrick and wife, Tina, Shane Hambrick, Matt Hambrick, Jessica Farris, Jennifer Jarrett and husband, Maurice, Dale Farris and wife, Geneva; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Kayla, Zoie, and Samantha Hambrick, Michaela and Colton Adkins, Tyler Bell, Leah Farris, Samuel, Lisa, and David Jarrett, Keirston and Erica Adkins; and a sister-in-law, Becky Hambrick of North Carolina.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel with Pastor Jack Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, and honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of the Daniels Missionary Baptist Church.

Mary Virginia Hankins
RONCEVERTE — Mary Virginia Hankins, 89, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, at her home in Ronceverte.
Born July 6, 1916, in Pocahontas County, a daughter of the late Harry W. Loan and Elizabeth Jane Madison Loan Workman.
Mrs. Hankins was a member of Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church at Pembrook near Trout, a member of Fort Hill Rebekah Lodge No. 17, and was a retired maid from The Greenbrier hotel after 20 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Santford Z. Hankins; a son, Warren Henry Hankins; a daughter, Phyllis Joan Hankins; three sisters, twin sister, May Loan, Alice Rudd, and Margaret Phillips; and a brother, Lloyd Loan.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Kerns and husband, Gail, of Alderson, Barbara Deskins and husband, Russell ,of Sinks Grove, and Iris Kirby and fiancé, Bob Wilson, of Ronceverte; a son, Walter Hankins and wife, Patricia, of Rupert; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, with the Elder Farley Ronald Beavers officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial cemetery, Clintonville.

Nannie Toney Hannah
MATHENY — Nannie Toney Hannah, 80, formerly of St. Albans, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley.
Nannie was an associate member of the West Virginia State Gospel Singing Association at Mt. Nebo. She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Matheny, and formerly attended Grace Baptist Temple in St. Albans. She loved singing in the choirs.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roger W. Toney.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph M. Hannah; three daughters, Shirley Adkins of Cross Lanes, Johnna Toney Black and husband, Alan, of Charleston, Diane Gordon and husband, Mark, of Wooster, Ohio; a son, Ralph E. Hannah and wife, Sharon, of Matheny; a brother, Russell Meadows of Weirton; a sister, Jo Ann Midkiff of Yawkey; seven grandchildren, Bryce Adkins and wife, Wendy, Kim and Jeremy Adkins, Mason Hannah and wife, Jennifer, Kelly Walls and husband, Patrick, Mark Gordon and wife, Carrie, and Sarah Gordon; and five great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kasey, Tanner, Autumn, and Lauren.
Services will be 12 noon Saturday at Grace Baptist Temple, 1901 MacCorkle Ave., St. Albans, with Pastors Richard L. Chester and David J. Pence officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Geneive Guilliams Hightower
On this day Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, our loved one was called to Him, Geneive Guilliams Hightower, 78, of Stanaford. She died in a local hospital of cancer.
Born April 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John H. Guilliams and Rosa Lunsford Guilliams.
Mrs. Hightower was a member of the Stanaford Church of Christ and a lifelong resident of Stanaford. She was a homemaker and loved her gardens.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Pete and Okey and Ann Louise and Jewel, and a great-great-granddaughter, Noel.
Survivors include a son, John Hightower; daughters, Dorothy and husband, Kenneth Browning, and Barbara Meade, all of Stanaford; stepson, Rodney Mitchell and wife, B.J., of Palmyra, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Zingo of Rochester, N.Y.; brothers, James Guilliams and wife, Shirley, of Beckley, Billy Guilliams and wife, JoAnn, of Sanford, N.C., and Danny Guilliams and wife, Linda, of Rochester, N.Y.; and numerous loving nephews and nieces.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel with Evangelist Fred Dinkler officiating, and a eulogy by Tessie Alterbaum. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.

Aimee A. Sparks Hill
SLATER, Mo. — Aimee A. Sparks Hill, 85, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at the Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Mo.
Born April 23, 1920, at Besoco, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Cabell Sanders Payne and Nancy Jane Dunn Payne.
On Sept. 4, 1937, she married Wilburn A. Sparks and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1959. On Aug. 27, 1977, in Stockton, Calif., she married Algernon E. Hill and he preceded her in death on June 23, 1997.
She is survived by two sons, Gene Sparks and his wife, Barbara, of Slater and Norman Sparks and his wife, Jenney, of Columbia, Mo.; two daughters, Alice Hurley and her husband, George, of Stockton, Calif., and Judy Butcher and her husband, Larry, of Slater; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lois Gorenflo of Elkridge, Md.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Hill was a member of the First Baptist Church in Slater, its Willing Workers Sunday School class and assisted in the nursery of the church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pine Grove Baptist Church at Ravencliff with the Rev. Garner “Sonny” Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Rosa Belle Baker Lee, 80, of Kincaid, died 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center following a nine-month illness.
Born April 7, 1925, in Farmville, Va., a daughter of the late Charles H. Baker and Nora White Baker.
Mrs. Lee was employed in private industry and was a housewife. She was a member of the Outreach For Christ Christian Center, and previously a member of Ingram Grove Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Harlem Heights.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Jesse Lee Sr.
