James Fekete
James Fekete, 76, of Crab Orchard, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at Raleigh General Hospital of a long illness.
Born Aug. 1, 1930, at Whipple, he was the son of the late Steve and Julia Kish Fekete.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict and recipient of the Purple Heart.
He was a retired coal miner from Slab Fork Coal Co. and a member of the UMWA.
James was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by four brothers Steve, Calvin, Eugene and Clifford; and a sister, Margaret Johnson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Mary Redden Fekete; four daughters, Theresa Fekete and her fiance, Dennis Sims, of Beckley, Connie Underwood and her husband, Larry, of Maple Fork Road and Tammy Alderman and her husband, Terry, and Jessica Stover and her husband, Toby, all of Sand Branch Road; two sisters, Elizabeth Massie and her husband, Clifford, of Crab Orchard and Julie Ann Richardson of Clemmons, N.C.; two brothers, Frank Fekete and wife, Carvalho, of Chesapeake, Ohio, and Ernie Fekete and his wife, Brenda, of Roseville, Mich.; six granddaughters, Rachel Parson and her husband, Billy, Heather Underwood, April, Erica and Megan Alderman, and Sydni Stover; a grandson, Seth James Stover; and three great-granddaughters, Jordan and Raigan Lytton and Alexxus Parson.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley, with Gary Miller officiating. Military burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley, by VFW Post 149.
Friends may gather with the family 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Jean Martin Fisher
RUPERT — Mary Jean Martin Fisher, 69, formerly of Sam Black Church, died Sunday evening, Jan. 21, 2007, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a long illness.
Born March 23, 1937, at Rosedale, she was a daughter of the late Charles Harry and Belva Vera Vaughan Martin.
Mary Jean was a member of Sam Black United Methodist Church, where she had formerly served as the church pianist, choir director, Sunday school teacher and director of the children’s Christmas program. She was a teacher’s aide from 1972 to 1994 for the Greenbrier County Board of Education.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Winifred Ann martin Gray.
Those left to mourn are a daughter, Mary Lynn Scott and husband, Glen Allen, of Shenandoah, Texas; two sons, Robert Bruce Fisher of Sam Black Church and Brent M. Fisher and wife, Lori Ann, of Dawson; four grandchildren; and a step grandchild.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Sam Black United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jay Talbott officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial cemetery, Clintonville.

Robert Gene Forga
CRAIGSVILLE — Robert Gene Forga, 25, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at Charleston Area Medical Center, General Hospital, from injuries received from an automobile accident.
He was a loving husband, father, son and brother.
He was a member of Little Laurel Baptist Church at Richwood.
He was a snowboarder and he prayed for snow. He was also a skateboarder.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Chapman Forga; two sons, Ruben Gene and Malachi James Forga, both at home; a daughter, Marissa Jolea Forga at home; parents, Donald and Shirley Forga of Craigsville; and four brothers, John Allan Forga of Nettie, Donald Eugene Forga Jr. of Richwood, Michael Wayne Forga of Clarksville, Tenn., and Paul Woodrow Williams of Mount Nebo.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, with the Pastor Channon Mullens officiating. Burial will follow in West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Calvin.

Norman E. Honaker
FAIRLEA — Norman E. Honaker, 77, born Feb. 12, 1929, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at home following a long illness.
Norman was a retired field representative of Equifax Inc. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a Korean War Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Clarence and Lola Morgan Honaker of Ronceverte; brothers, Marion, Carl and Donald; and a sister, Edna Honaker Arthur.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nina Spencer Honaker; a son, Harry E. “Butch” Honaker of Ronceverte; a son, Gregory A. and wife, Becky, of White Sulphur Springs, and daughter, Joanna L. and husband, Rick Honaker, of White Sulphur Springs; four grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan, Emily and James Honaker; and two step grandchildren, Troy and Jamie Collins.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ronceverte, with the Elder Arnold Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview cemetery, Ronceverte.

Fred G. Lilly
On Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, Fred G. Lilly of MacArthur passed away at his home surrounded by his family after a short illness. He was 75 years of age.
Born May 5, 1931, at Mabscott, he was the son of the late Fred G. and Nancy Ingram Lilly Sr.
Mr. Lilly was retired from the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. after 39 years of service. Fred was the owner and operator of Lilly’s Repair Service. He was charter member of the Crab Orchard-MacArthur Lions Club. Fred was a great fan of NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister.
Fred was the loving husband of Uthalee Bragg Lilly; the beloved father of Fred G. Lilly III and his wife, Debby, of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Carolyn Mouser and her husband, Gary, of Germanton, N.C.; the dear grandfather of Cory and Casey Lilly and Gary Mouser’s son and daughter, Matthew and Melissa of St. Louis, Mo.; and two brothers, John Lilly and his wife, Mary, of Knoxville, Tenn.; and Dayton M. Lilly of Beckley.
Service will be 3 p.m. today at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Bill Withers officiating, assisted by the Rev. Phil Shields. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Friends called 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and may call one hour before service today.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Audrea Rieff
MELBOURNE, Fla. — Audrea Mae Rieff, 89, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at William Childs Hospice House, Palm Bay, Fla.
Born in Hanging Rock, Ohio, she lived in Sophia before moving to Florida in 1963.
She retired from Patrick Air Force Base following a long civil service career.
Audrea learned to play the organ in her later years and was an active member of the organ club. She kept connected with her many friends around the world with e-mail.
Her family includes brother, Charles Eicher; niece, Patricia; and nephews, William, Michael, Paul, Charles Jr. and David.
Memorial service will be at a later date in Ironton, Ohio.
Donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
