John Bret Wright
John Bret Wright, 46, of Tesla, WV died July 3, 2006 at his residence. He was born August 7, 1959 in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late James Wilkerson & Betty Lou Strange Wright. Also preceding him in death were his stepfather Leonard Lake; paternal grandparents Nina & John Wright; maternal grandparents Earl & Florence Strange.
He was an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Peyatt Wright of Tesla, WV; sons James Brett Wright and Robert Dale Wright both of Tesla, WV; 1 daughter Lisa Lynn Wright of Tesla, WV; Uncle Buck Strange of Flatwoods, WV; Aunt and Uncle Sue & Mark Stiefender of Maple Heights, OH; Aunt Wilma Wright of Alabama; and best friend Cam March and cousins Becky, Beth, Cindy, Debbie & Sonya. Also surviving is one grandchild Allyiaha Louise Wright.
A memorial service was held at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 2:00 with Rev. Marvin Given officiating.

Lee Eugene Walker
Lee Eugene Walker, 67, of St. Cloud, Florida went home to be with our Lord on July 4, 2006. He was born September 13, 1939 at Strange Creek, WV to the late Bailey and Lela Brown Walker.
He was retried from Winn-Dixie stores in Orlando, FL; and was a Navy and Army Veteran.
He attended Assembly of God Church in Orlando.
Lee is preceded in death by wife Audrey Walker, his parents , one son, a brother and a sister.
Lee is survived by son; Randy, daughters; Suzette, Rhonda and stepdaughter Laura. Five sisters; Clara, Sarah, Shirley, Linda and Macel, two grandchildren and an Aunt Leola/
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Cook officiating. Burial with military graveside rite by American Legion post 33 followed in Walker Cemetery near Birch River, WV. Friends called Saturday from 6 to 8 pm. Greene-Robertson Funeral Home of Sutton, WV served the family.

Darrel Eugene Wilson, Sr.
Darrel Eugene Wilson, Sr., 69, of Sutton, WV passed in his sleep on July 4, 2006 in City Hospital, Martinsburg, WV.
He was born February 23, 1937 parents of the late Lee and Kelsie Knight Wilson. A Baptist by faith and worked most of his life as a truck driver and meat cutter.
Preceded in death by his parents and a brother Robert Wilson. Eugene is survived by his daughter and sons: Pamela Kay Blankenbaker of Martinsburg, WV, Darel Eugene Wilson, Jr. of Summersville, WV and James Lee Wilson of Martinsburg, WV. Sister Mary Wilson of Little Birch, WV; brothers Leroy Boyd and Charles Wilson of Ohio, Dana and James Wilson of Little Birch, WV and Oscar Wilson of Webster Springs, WV.
Grandchildren: Justin Lee Wilson, Jonathan Ross Blankenbaker and David Eugene Blankenbaker, one great grandchild Gabriel B. Blankenbaker.
Funeral services were held on Satuday, July 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Poplar Ridge Cemetery near Sutton, WV. Friends called one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are by Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV.

Harlan B. Cook
Harlan B. “Booger” Cook, 86, of Mineral Wells, passed away July 3, 2006 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He was born July 20, 1919 in Braxton County, WV a son of the late Charlie and Jeenie Deuley Cook. He was a U.S. Army veteran servin in WWII in Infantry and was a Purple Heart recipient, and he also served in the European Theatre. He was a coal miner and a dairy farmer with Florence Daries for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty Lou Johnson Cook; two daughters, Vickey Dulin Ball and Lola Mae Knox both of Mineral Wells; four grand children, Catherine Smith of Mineral Wells, Rebecca Shaver of Mineral Wells, Thomas “Tommy” Knox III of Norfolk, VA and Ashley Kelly also of Mineral Wells; and five great-grandchildren, Bree Anna Stephens and Brittany Dulin, both of Mineral Wells, and Caitlyn and Kylie Smith of Mineral Wells and Kenade Knox of VA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by two brothers, Ceceil and Fred Cook; and three sisters, Lucy Mae Cunningham, Lou Hodge, and Margaret “Tillie” Dulin.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens will full military rites provvided by the American Legion Post 15.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles Jarrett Frame
Charles Jarrett Frame, 87 of Gassaway, died on August 20th of complications following surgery on June 20t,He was born in Braxton County, the eldest son of the late Charles and Susie Stuart Frame. In addition to his parents, brother, Stuart Frame and sister, Lorene Lancaster, preceded him in death. He was a graduate of Gassaway High School and former owner of Frame Motor Sales in Gassaway. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the North African and Italian campaigns. He retired from military service, serving in the Army and National Guard. He was a 50-year member of Gassaway Lodge No. 133 AF&AM, and also belonged to the Scottish Rite and Beni-Kedem Shrine Temple. Other organizations to which he belonged were: American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Surviving: wife, Hilda Hopkins Frame; son Charles Jarrett Frame, Jr. and wife Mary of Fredericksburg, Va.; daughter Sandra Given and husband Stanton of Sutton; sister, Phyllis McCormick of Parkersburg; brother, James Frame of Gassaway; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A service to honor his life was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. Barbara Accord officiating. Burial with military and Masonic graveside rites were heldin the Sugar Creek Cemetery, near Gassaway. Friends called from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contribution be made to Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 376, Gassaway WV. 26624 or to the Gassaway Masonic Lodge, 512 Elk Street, Gassaway, WV. 26624.

Mary Beth Smith
Mary Beth Smith, 49 of Gassaway died August 19, 2006 in CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston. She was born March 4, 1957 in Sapula, OK, the daughter of the late Junior Lee and Lucille Farris Rush. Also preceding her death was a brother Thurmond Rush. She was a homemaker and was loved by all; cherished by her family. She is survived by husband, Cam Bender; sons Glen Moreland and Dallas Parten both of Gassaway; daughters, Tina Moreland of Florida and Virginia Morland of Tulsa, OK; brothers, Tommy, Ray, Vernon, and David; sisters Nettie Rush and Maxine Welch both of Chouteau, OK, and Doris Rush of Jackson, MI. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 24, at 8:00 p.m. at the Greene Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton. With Rev. Marvin Hickson officiating. Funeral arrangements were by Greene Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton.

Paul A. Eubank
Paul A. Eubank, 89 of Heaters. Departed this life on his railway to heaven on Sunday August 20, 2006 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. He was born on June 13, 1917, a son of the late William and Ella Arthur Eubank. Paul was a US Army Veteran of WW II with a strong respect for his coutry. He was retired from railroad with 32 years of service. He was an independent retailer in advertising for 55 years. He was a member of the Heaters United Methodist Church, a Sunday school teacher that was very important to him. He was also proceeded in death by his brothers, Loyd, Russell, Oley, Bishop, John, Hayward Eubank and Emmet Heinz, sisters, Rosa Hickman, Bertha Armstrong, Mary Thompson, Willa Hutchison, Bessie Eubank, Gladys Thompson, Clara Heinz Hosey, Ethel Ward. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Clara M. Rose Eubank. Paul and Clara enjoyed nearly 57 years together traveling, gardening, and arts and crafts with his particular creative talent woodworking. He was and is honest, loved and respected by his only child, Shirley Ann Eubank Hall and her husband Boggs M. Hall of Sutton. Also mourning his loss are his grandson, H.P. Hall and his wife Laura of Malvern, AR. Granddaughter Jennifer Hall Hoover and her Husband Robbie of Cross Lanes. Bringing more joy than one can imagine are his four great grandchildren, Molly and Jacob of Cross Lanes. And D’Laney and Dakota of Malvern, AR. Paul is also survived by his brothers, Gaylord and Charles Eubank. He leaves behind several sisters and brothers in law, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday 24, 2006. At Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home in Flatwoods with the Pastor Mike Sisson and Rev. Dana Friend officiating. Burial was in Braxton County Cemetery on Airport Road near Sutton. Friends call from 6-9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggested contributions to the Heaters United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 32 Heaters, WV.26627.

Clarence N. Bender
Clarence N. Bender, 67, of Gassaway died August 23, 2006 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg. He was born May 15, 1939 in Gassaway, WV the son of the late Cordia Clyde and Elva Jane Hacker Bender. Also preceding him in death were his wife Faye E. Bender and brothers Carl, Roy and Clifford.
He was a construction and home repair worker.
He is survived by two sons Billy Bender of Frametown and Timothy Bender of Akron, OH; two daughters Beverly Jane Parker and Melony Bender both of Akron, OH; two step sons Gary Norris of Frametown and Wayne Norris of Ohio; two step daughters Shelia Butts of Gassaway and Kim Bender of Akron, OH; and three brothers Camden Scott Bender of Gassaway, Cecil Leon Bender of Sutton, and Carmel Kyle Bender of Akron. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at the Boggs Cemetery on Herold Route, near Sutton, with Rev. Marvin Hickson officiating.
Funeral arrangements were by Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton.

Joyce Elaine Taylor
Joyce Elaine Taylor, 39, of Burnsville, West Virginia died October 8, 2006 in CAMC, General Division, Charleston, WV. She was born December 19, 1966 in Sutton, WV.
She was a homemaker.
Her husband Doy A. Taylor, Jr. of Burnsville; one son Doy A. Taylor, III at home; father Billy Clutter of Frametown; mother Vivian Knight Bragg of Gassaway; and 3 stepbrothers Marshall Napier of Gassaway, WV, Montie Napier of Ohio, and Ashley Napier of Exchange, WV, survive her.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV with Rev. Bill Griffin officiating. Burial was in the Centralia Cemetery, Centralia, WV.
Funeral arrangements are by Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV.

Denzil Martin Stilwell
Denzil Martin Stilwell, 57, of Orlando, WV passed away at his home on October 4, 2006.
He was born on September 21, 1949 in Gassaway, WV, a son of the late Perry and Denzil Perry Stilwell. Denzil was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW and worked as a construction contractor.
He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Mctheny Polony, brothers, Carl Stilwell of Augusta, WV, and John Stilwell of San Angelo, TX, step-brother Perry Denzil Stilwell Jr. of Glenville, WV, sister, Edna M. Williams of San Angelo, TX, step-sisters, Diane Allard of San Angelo, TX and Kathy Casad of Fontana, CA.
A private service will be held at a later date. Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Ordie Darl Facemire
Odie Darl Facemire, 83, of Sutton, died on Friday October 13, 2006 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital in Gassaway, WV after an extended illness. He was born on July 8, 1922 in Sutton, WV to the late Frank and Vernie Crites Facemire.
He was retired from United States Civil Service working for Army Security Agency. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and Korean Conflict. Odie is survived by his wife, Irene Gandee Facemire, niece Betty Shearon of Memphis, Tennessee and several cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006 one hour prior to the funeral service at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 17,2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home in Sutton. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery, Bug Ridge near Sutton. Greene-Robertson Funeral Home is serving the Facemire family.
