MOUNT HOPE — Mary K. “Kitty” Danner, 89, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, following a short illness.
Born Nov. 13, 1916, at Mount Hope, she was the daughter of the late Alexander M. and Virgie L. Groves Patteson.
Mrs. Danner was a retired Fayette County school teacher having taught at Mount Hope Junior High School.
Kitty was a member of the Mount Hope United Methodist Church where she had served as an officer and organist. She has recently been attending the Mount Hope Presbyterian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Danner Sr.; two brothers, William A. Patteson and Russell G. Patteson.
Survivors include a son, Henry L. (Danny) Danner Jr. and wife, Iva K., of Hurricane; a grandson, David H. Danner and wife, Jennifer L., of Columbus, Ohio; and two nieces, Patti Patteson Bair of Wilmington, N.C., and Susie Patteson Tysowsky of West Chester, Pa.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Mount Hope, with the Rev. Jerry Cook officiating. Burial will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Nyrmal Ann Daughtery
OCEANA — Nyrmal Ann Daughtery, “Mommy’s Little Angel,” departed this life and became an angel on Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at the age of 3 years, 9 months and 14 days at CAMC Women’s and Children’s Division, Charleston.
Born Jan. 31, 2002, at Charleston, she was the daughter of Matthew and Shelia Carbaugh Daughtery of Oceana.
Nyrmal always had a smile for everyone she met, and no matter how bad things would get she would always have a smile. She liked to watch CMT; she liked to go to church and shake everybody’s hand. Nyrmal liked for T.J. to play her music and dance with her; she loved talking to her grandmaw on the phone, and liked for daddy and Bubby Joe to ride her on the four-wheeler.
Nyrmal was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Nyrmal Daughtery, whom she was named after; maternal great-grandparents, Elliot and Lena Carbaugh; and an aunt, Amanda Blankenship.
Those left to cherish Nyrmal’s memory are her parents, Matthew and Shelia Daughtery of Oceana; two brothers, T.J. Daughtery and Jacob Daughtery, both at home; two sisters, Sarah Daughtery and Nyrmal’s twin, Marsha Daughtery, both at home; maternal grandmother, Dollie Carbaugh of Lynco; paternal grandfather, Julian Daughtery of Lillydale; two uncles, Bubby Joe Daughtery of Oceana, and Billy Carbaugh and his wife, Angel, of Kopperston.
A celebration of Nyrmal’s life will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Promised Land Church in Oceana with the Rev. Robert Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Kopperston Community cemetery, Kopperston.
Casketbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends today and Friday after 6 p.m. at the church.

LEWISBURG — Mary Morgan Gibson Detch, 87, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, at the Lewisburg United Method-ist Church.
Mrs. Detch donated her body to the Human Gift Registry at West Virginia University.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Sandra R. Jones Evans, 64, formerly of Greentown, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005.

Maxine L. Gay
On Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, after a long and good life, Maxine Letha Gay passed away in a Beckley hospital following a short illness. She was in her 86th year.
Born on June 15, 1919, at Emmy Chapel, she was the daughter of the late Harley and Lillie McClain Maddox.
Maxine spent her early childhood in Putnam County, moving to Charleston in 1932. A graduate of Charleston High School in 1936, she attended business college in Charleston. Maxine began a career as an accountant with Montgomery Wards, then working for Mann’s Jewelry for a number of years, retiring from Appalachian Tire. She was a resident of Weimer Avenue in St. Albans for 34 years, retiring from Appalachian Tire.
She was a resident of Wei-mer Avenue in St. Albans for 34 years moving to Beckley in 1985. While in St. Albans she and her family were members of St. Andrews United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Forever Young Group of the Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley and the Cardiac Rehabilitation at Southern West Virginia Clinic.
The last surviving member of her immediate family Maxine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, James Ruffner Gay, on Nov. 4, 1993.
She was the loving mother of two sons, David R. Gay of Beckley, and Robert L. Gay and his wife, Cynthia, of Morgantown; and was the dear grandmother of Gregory and Christopher Gay.
Services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Melton Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Paul Blizard officiating. Committal services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Lower Chapel Mausoleum of the Cunningham Park with the Rev. Loretta Isaiah officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Friday at the mortuary.

Emily V. Hawkins, 77, of Midway, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005.
Emily was born Feb. 25, 1928, in Wyoming County; she was the daughter of the late Nathan Perdue and the late Nancy Perdue.
Emily was a graduate of Stoco High School, a homemaker, and was a member of the Midway First Church of God.
In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Neal Hawkins.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Neal Hawkins and wife, Linda, of Beckley, Darleen Norton and husband, Roger, of Midway, Johnnie Hawkins of Midway, Nancy Acord and husband, Jerry, of Fairdale, and Retha Greer of Midway; grandchildren, Sherry Canterbury, Brian Acord, Christy Smith, Leonard Hawkins, Jason Acord, Paula Samples, Nellyn Hawkins, Christopher Hawkins, Magie Greer; great-grandchild, Dylan Keel; two nieces, Norma Todd, and Thelma Sperlick; and special friend, Sharon Terry.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Midway First Church of God in Midway with Pastor Richard Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.

Dewey Addison Kimberlin
Dewey Addison Kimberlin, 69, of Coal City, formerly of Odd, and Greenfield, Ind., went to his mansion in heaven at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 2005, after a long illness.
Born March 3, 1936, in Rocky Gap, Va., he was the son of the late George Lessie and Ethel Wolfe Kimberlin.
Dewey was retired from Suburban Products of Greenfield, Ind. He was a member of Sunset Hills Missionary Baptist Church of Coal City and a deacon of Mt. Valley Baptist Church in Odd.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Dewey Addison Jr. and Charles Daniel; and a great-grandson, Jimmie Watson III.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lois Johnston Kimberlin of Coal City; a daughter, Joanna Watson of Odd; brothers, Bob Kimberlin of Columbus, Ind., George Kimberlin of Burkes Garden, Va., Jack Kimberlin of Crozet, Va., Arlice Kimberlin of Greenfield, Ind.; sisters, Dorothy Foist of Beech Grove, Ind., Joy Carlson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Ilene Lambert of Greenfield, Ind.; daughter-in-law, Melvina Kimberlin of Greenfield, Ind.; grandchildren, Sharlene Bolen of Rushville, Ind., Jimmie Watson Jr. of Waldron, Ind., Cathie Watson of Odd, Jamie Foley of Rhodell, Jennifer Sargent of Mead, Angel Kimberlin of Indianapolis, Ind., and Heath Kimberlin of Greenfield, Ind.; 20 great-grandchildren and a very special friend and family, Bill and Roberta Ayers.
