Elizabeth Thayer
Elizabeth Thayer (nee Brown), 73 of Brunswick passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Hospice of Medina at The Inn.
She was born March 20, 1933 in Burnsville, West Virginia to Grover Cleveland and Ethel Brown.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick, was an avid floral and vegetable gardener. She also enjoyed canning and bird watching.
Mrs. Thayer is survived by her children Karen (James) Gillespie, Harry “Bernie” (Theresa) Thayer, Jeffrey (Brenda) Thayer, and Nancy (Patrick) Rose; brother Wilfred “Buck” (Ruth) Brown; sisters Mary Katherine (John) Gully, Marie Lynch, and Francis (James) Kallas; grandchildren Thomas (Carolyn) Butler, Tina (Fred) Kullman, Brandon Thayer, Stephanie Thayer, Stacey Thayer, Ryan Thayer, Jacob Thayer, and Kara Rose (Fianc?e’ Joshua Skindell, Caleb Rose, Kacey Rose, and Cory Rose; and great-grandchildren Thomas Butler III, Ashley Kullman, William Kullman, Lydia Kullman, and Michael Kullman.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Thayer; brothers Robert, Elmer, John, Waitman (Carrie), Jimmy, and Case Brown; sisters Rena and Ondine; brother-in-law Harry Lynch; and her parents.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 6, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with Funeral Services at 1:00 P.M. at Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 1642 Pearl Road (1/2 mile South of Route 303), Brunswick.
Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memory Gardens.

Lucy "Maxine" Langford
Lucy “Maxine” Langford Jenkins, age 70, formerly of Glenville, West Virginia departed this life, Friday, June 16, 2006, at Samaritan Hospital in Sullivan, Ohio after a sudden illness.
After leaving Glenville, West Virginia she moved to Grafton, Ohio and then to Elyria, before making her home in Sullivan, Ohio where she was a resident for the last fourteen years.
She was a Christian, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and an active member of the Midway Baptist Church in Elyria, Ohio. She enjoyed cooking meals for church events, as well as helping with cleaning and maintaining the church property.
Survivors include her husband of forty-nine years, Robert Harold Jenkins; daughters, Kathy Aring and husband Dave of Sullivan, Ohio; Liz Ickes and husband Barry of Grafton, Ohio, five grandchildren; one great grandson; one brother Melvin Langford of Weston, West Virginia; two sisters Naomi Beall and Geneva Wolfe of Glenville, West Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother; Paul Langford; three sisters; Ruth Greenlief, Rosalee Hess, and Lela Langford and her parents. Homer and Bessie Minigh Langford.
Services were held on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 10:00 am at the Midway Baptist Church in Elyria, Ohio with Rev. Charles Keesee officiating. Burial followed in the Sullivan Southview Cemetery, Sullivan, Ohio.
Foster C. Lytle
Foster C. Lytle, 84, of Frametown, died June 26, 2006.
He was born September 18, 1921 in Clay County, a son of the late William and Susie Triplett Lytle.
He was a retired coal miner and construction worker; a member of the Hope Baptist Church, Frametown and an Army veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his Wife of 43 years, Sylvia J. Hickman Lytle; daughters, Sandy Lytle of Yantis, TX and Brenda Allen of Queen Valley, AZ; son, John D. Lytle of Frametown; brother, William H. Lytle of Frametown; sister, Goldie Robinson of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren James Allen and Amber Marlene Spurgeon Maynard; five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brother, Delbert Lytle; sisters, Virginia “Polly” Friend and Olive Gonzales; grandson, James Aaron Spurgeon.
Services were held at 11 am, Friday, June 30 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Rich Demastus officiating. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post #33 was in the Lytle Family Cemetery, Frametown.
Claude Samuel "Buck" Plum Jr.
Claude Samuel “Buck” Plum Jr., 56 of Sutton, West Virginia died June 25, 2006 at home. He was born may 28, 1950 in Sutton, West Virginia, the son of Nina Keener Plum of Sutton, West Virginia and the late Claude Plum.
He was a Baptist by faith and a disabled contractor and construction worker.
He is survived by his son Mark Anthony Plum of Sutton, West Virginia; mother Nina Keener Plum of Sutton, WV; brother Bobby Plum of Lakewood, Oh; half sister April Hudnall of Gassaway, WV; daughter-in-law Yolanda Marie Plum of Columbus, Oh; and 3 grandchildren Mark, Jr., Kelli Samantha & Laura Ashley. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 11:00 am at Green-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV with Rev. Billy Griffin officiating. Burial was in the Braxton County Cemetery on Airport Road near Sutton, WV.

Beatrice "Bea" Hart Beatrice “Bea” Hart, 91, of Frametown, died June 28, 2006 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 6, 1914 at Servia, Braxton County, a daughter of the late Ira David and Eva Reip Hamric.
She was a homemaker, a 4H Leader, a member of the WV Farm Bureau, Spruce Grove Homemakers Club, the Rebekah Lodge and the Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Phyllis Grove of Auburn, Dottie Pisapia of Charleston and Virginia Yeager of Glenville; brother, Spencer Hamric of Glenville; sister, Marie Ramsey of New Port Richey, Florida; grandchildren, John Pisapia, Jr., Christina Yeager Nelson and Diana Yeager Pellichino; great granddaughter, Samantha Jane Nelson.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Royce Glennard Hart on May 28, 1998; brother, Glen Hamric.
Service was at 11 a.m. Monday, July 3 at the Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. Allen Donaldson and Pastor Rich Demastus officiating. Burial will be in the David Hamric Memorial Cemetery, Tate Creek.
Friends were able to call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 2 at the funeral home.

Goldie A. Hoover
Goldie A. Hoover, 94, a lifelong resident of Sutton passed away July 1, 2006 in Laurel Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born January 10, 1912 the daughter of the late David and Laura Boggs.
She will be remembered as a homemaker, a loving Mother and Grandmother. Goldie was a Baptist by Faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and two brothers. She is survived by five daughters and son-in-laws: Rosa Hollandsworth and husband Harold of Cowen, WV, Virgie Rose and Husband Allen of Sutton, WV, Verna Rose and husband Paul of Spotsylvania, Virginia, Vivian Matheny and husband Lee of Maple Heights, Ohio, Thelma Brunett of Berea, Ohio. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home in Sutton, West Virginia with Rev. Marvin Given officiating. Burial was in Braxton County Cemetery near Sutton.

Raymond W. Singleton
Raymond W. Singleton, 93, of Cutlip’s Fork, Gassaway, West Virginia passes away at the home of his daughter Revelea Lemon on Saturday evening, July 1, 2006.
Raymond was born in Braxton County on May 28, 1913, the son of the late William Pearl and Virginia Claypool Singleton.
In January 1940 he married Florence E. Cobb with whom he shared over 50 years of marriage before she passed away in 1994.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Raymond was also preceded in death by two grandsons, David Timothy Singleton and Nolan Hart; sister, Nellie Perrine Bosley; brother, James “Bunk” Singleton; half-brother, Bert Singleton.
He is survived by his daughter Revelea Lemon and husband Jim; son, William Howard Singleton and wife, Marie; son, David R. Singleton and wife, Judy; one sister, Stella “Short” Singleton, who is a resident of Braxton Health Care Center. Six grandchildren: Bob Hart, Kim Dennison, Kay Dennison, Kevin Singleton, Renae Hart and Cindy Hart Essert; 12 great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
Raymond was a Christian, a member of the Little Otter United Methodist Church where he and his wife Florence, served faithfully for over 50 years.
Throughout his life, Raymond held various jobs that include working at the Wolf Creek and Widen mines, WV Forest Products Plant and the Braxton County Board of Education from where he retired in 1975.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 5th at the Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Jim Criner and Rev. George Hamrick officiating. Burial will be in the Beall’s Mill Cemetery, Gassaway.
Friends called from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 4th at the funeral home.
Reva L. Keith
Reva L. Keith passed away June 28, 2006 in Fountain Hills, Arizona where she had made her home for several years. She was born July 15, 1915 in Exchange, WV. She was the daughter of the late P.R. Crutchfield and Rona Bosley Crutchfield.
She is survived by her son, Robert Max Keith of Ravenna, Ohio and daughter Linda Jane Dipaolo of Fountain Hills, Arizona. Sis grandchildren: Mary Howell of Gahanna, Ohio, Robert Max Keith II of North Royalton, Ohio, Cheryl Keith, Julie Schrecengast and Deborah Linn Stokley all of Ravenna, Ohio, and Sherri Schrecengast of Troy, Ohio and 8 great grandchildren. Special thanks to Hospice to the Valley, 1510 East Flower St. Phoenix, Arizona 85014-5656.
A memorial service will be in Ravenna, Ohio at a later date.
Eunice Rose
Eunice Rose, 83, of Birch River, WV died July 4, 2006 while a patient at CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston, WV. She was born August 5, 1922 in Jackson County, WV the daughter of the late Pearl & Lola Whitsel Roberts.
Also preceding her in death were 2 daughters Linda & Lena Lou and 3 brothers.
She was a Baptist by faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Ellis Rose; one son Garrel Rose & wife Connie S. of Birch River, WV; 6 daughters Marjorie Gray & husband Mike of Barberton, OH, Edna Jones & husband Delmer of Roanoke, VA, Wanda Jones & husband Carroll of Roanoke, VA, Junedell Richardson & husband Danny of Dille, WV, Betty Jones & husband Roy of Martinsburg, WV, and Connie L. Davis & husband Ronnie of Birch River, WV; and 1 brother and 9 sisters. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 14 grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
