WESTLAKE, Ohio — Fredda “Freddie” Coleman, 78, of 2312 Woodmill Drive, Westlake, passed away at 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at St. John Westshore Hospital following a long illness.
Born June 8, 1927, in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late James Brown and Carrie Amey-Brown.
Freddie was a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eskimo Coleman; her son, George Coleman; her daughter, Charlotte Robinson; brothers, Theodore and Jody Brown; and sisters, Ruth Caldwell, Annie Rhea Jones and Charlotte Kincannon Hughes.
Survivors include her daughter, Karla Baker and husband, Kenneth, of Westlake; and sister, Thelma Williams of Dayton, Ohio.
Service will be noon Tuesday at Ritchie and Johnson Funeral Parlor Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Walter M. Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call one hour before service Tuesday at the funeral parlor.

SECOND CREEK — Linda M. Henson, 47, of Second Creek, passed away Friday, Feb. 3, 2006, at her home.
Born July 4, 1958, in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Elise Cox.
She was a receiving manager with Kmart Department Store.
Survivors include her husband, Donnie W. Henson; her daughter, Misty Boone and husband, Chris, of Ronceverte; her son, Chris Henson of Second Creek; grandchildren, McKenzie Boone, Lindsey Grace Boone and Breanna Henson; a sister, Terry of California; three brothers, Robert, Butch and Tommy Cox, all of Hampton, Va.; mother-in-law, Velma Henson of Ronceverte; sister-in-law, Carol Dixon and husband, Bill, of Frankford; eight nieces and three nephews.
Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Comer officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park cemetery, Second Creek.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Phyllis June Evans Logan, 64, formerly of Bradley, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at HCR Manor Center, Winter Park, Fla.
Born Feb. 18, 1941, at Price Hill, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Brookie Williams Evans.
She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Norman, Larry, Jerry, Roger, Ray, Andy, Jimmy and Garrett Evans; and two sisters, Marie Shepherd and Hazel Sweeney.
Survivors include daughters, Teresa Durden and Linda O’Connor, both of Orlando; a son, Paul Logan Jr. of Orlando; seven grandsons, Timothy, Derek, Justin, Cody, Christopher, Wesley and Casey, and granddaughter, Victoria, all of Orlando; two brothers, Carolos Evans and wife, Mary, of Ameagle and Denny Evans of Charlottesville, Va.; and three sisters, Jean Webb and husband, David, of Sand Branch, Joan Taylor and husband, Mitchell, of Clear Creek and Sharon Basham of Coal City.
Service will be 2 p.m. today at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, with the Rev. Forrest Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Maynor cemetery, Maynor.

Rev. Sherman Sizemore Jr.
Leaving a lovely legacy, the Rev. Sherman “Poppy June” Sizemore Jr., 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006.
He was born Sept. 30, 1930, at Northfolk to the late Sherman and Violet Byrd Sizemore.
His ministry for the Lord began in 1956 when he served as the first deacon for Herndon Freewill Baptist Church. Sherman’s ministry encompassed 40 years serving as pastor of Free Will Baptist churches at Pierpoint, Herndon, Basin and Spruce Grove and Sweet Home Baptist Church. Sherman served as an ordained minister in the Beckley Conference of Free Will Baptist for 53 years and was a chairman at his passing. For several years, Sherman conducted a live radio broadcast on WWYO in Pineville. He was a great friend and mentor to many young ministers of the Beckley Conference. In addition to his ministry, Sherman supplied the needs of his family by working more than 30 years in the mining industry. He retired in 1973 after working for Consol Coal.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruby Roberts Sizemore; a son, Kevin and wife, Tena, of Morganton, N.C.; three daughters, Lenoka Graham and husband, James, of Mount Hope, Sheila Dickens and husband, Clarence, of Beckley and Cleila Spratt and husband, Randy, of Salisbury, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Karen Sizemore of Charlotte, N.C.; four brothers, Marion McGinnis Sizemore and wife, Madeline, and Jackie Sizemore and wife, Shirley, all of Fort Pierce, Fla., Tommy Sizemore and wife, Joyce, and Harold Sizemore of Herndon; six sisters, Vida Brooks, Margie Walker and husband, Weldon, and Thelma Dennison and husband, Paul, all of Fort Pierce, Daisy Welch and husband, Davis, of Washington, D.C., Hazel Sizemore of Bluefield, Va., and Annie McDonald of Vidalia, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Sherman was preceded in death by a son, James Sherman Sizemore III; and four brothers, James, Willie, Leroy and Raymond Sizemore.
Service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Bradley Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. William O. Tolliver, Wayne Peters, Harold Taylor and Billy Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and ministers of the Beckley Conference will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family 6 to 9 p.m. today at the church.

CHARLESTON — Jeff E. Thomas, 47, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at Charleston Area Medical Center, General Hospital.
Mr. Thomas was a licensed registered nurse and licensed mortician.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral, Charleston, and was a 15-year resident of Charleston, coming from Mullens.
He was a 1976 graduate of Mullens High School and attended West Virginia Tech. He was a graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and a graduate of CAMC Nursing School.
He loved to garden. He was an avid traveler and had just recently returned from Australia.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Beulah Dorman and Hubert and Mamie Thomas.
He is survived by his parents, Earl and Delores Thomas of Mullens; special friend, Sherwood Sturgell of Charleston; stepdaughter, Carrie Green and her husband, Kenny, of Bud; stepgrandchildren, Nick and Kelsey Green; sister, Vickie Caldwell and her companion, Rick Bradshaw, of Falls Mills, Va.; brother, Jerry Wayne Thomas and his wife, Sheree, of Mullens; nieces, Jana, Allison and Kristen Caldwell and Kara and Brooke Thomas; a nephew, Andrew Thomas; and great-nieces, Rileigh Mullins and Addison Powers.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, with Monsignor P. Edward Sadie officiating.

RAVENCLIFF - Carlene Renay Lafferty, 36, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at her home following a short illness.
Born Nov. 11, 1966, in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Jill Raye.
Mrs. Lafferty was a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Neece Jr.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Jerry Lafferty; two sisters, Lovealea Horvath of Bud Mountain and Tildy Smailes of Rainelle; a brother, Alvis Tolliver of Orlando, Fla.; and maternal grandmother, Edna Raye of Bud Mountain.
Graveside service and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at Belle cemetery, Bud Mountain, with the Rev. Carl Underwood officiating.

Icy Mae Lilly
Icy Mae Lilly, 91, of McGinnis Street, Beckley, died Monday, June 16, 2003, at her home following a long illness.
Born Nov. 21, 1911, at Dunns, she was the daughter of the late Luther Hatcher and Amanda Meadows Hatcher.
Mrs. Lilly was a retired cook at Dunns Elementary and was last employed at Pearl's Diner at Princeton. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lilly; a son, Glen Lilly; two sisters, Ada Hatcher and Cordia Lilly; and four brothers, Jeff Hatcher, William Hatcher, Freddy Hatcher and Elby Hatcher.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Lilly and wife, Mildred, of Beckley and Luther Lilly at home; a daughter, Beulah Moye of Beckley; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Julia Wood of Dunns; and two brothers, Jack Hatcher of Danese and Dexter Hatcher of Crow.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Greg Allday officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park, Princeton.
