SHADY VALLEY, Tenn. - Jeanette Osborne Reed, 76, of 950 Wallace Rd., formerly of Egeria, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, in Sycamore Shoals Hospital in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Born May 7, 1924, in Raleigh County, she was the daughter of the late Elisha Sheets and Hess Osborne Sheets.
Mrs. Reed was a member of Shady Valley Baptist Church, and a native of North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Reed; and two sons, Ray and Buford Reed.
Survivors include a son, Troy Enich Reed of Stephenson; eight daughters, Vannie Reed of Shady Valley, Tenn., Rachael Thompson of Chicago, Ill., Lottie Blanchard of Amigo, Lucy Frazier of Welch, Sally Meadows of Odd, Avis Lusk of Stephenson, Bonnie Parsons of Shady Valley, Tenn., and Genie Robertson of Egeria; four brothers, Jim Sheets and his wife, Julie, Jerry Sheets and his wife, Peggy, and Bob and Bill Sheets, all of North Carolina; 33 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews;
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rose and Quesenberry Shady Spring Chapel, with the Rev. Jack Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in French cemetery, Egeria.

LEWISBURG Ð James B. "Jim" Stuart, 95, died 10:17 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center following a short illness.
Born Sept. 17, 1905, at Maxwelton, he was the last J.W. and Lillie Smith Stuart.
Mr. Stuart was a member of the Lewisburg United Methodist Church, a 50-year member of Greenbrier Lodge No. 42 AF and AM, a member of The American Numismatic Association, a retired employee of The West Virginia Department of Highways with 25 years of service, member of the National AARP and Senior Citizens of Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Monroe Stuart; a brother, Robert Stuart; and a sister, Edna Legg.

KING, N.C. - Shirley Marie Conner, 62, formerly of Nimitz, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, in a Greensboro, N.C., hospital after a long illness.
Born Dec. 21, 1937, in Cave Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Guy and Marie Butler Lilly.
Mrs. Conner was a former employee of Pipestem State Park and a member of War Ridge Freewill Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Lilly.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Conner; three sons, Timothy Conner of Westfield, N.C., Leonard Conner Jr. of Pilot Mountain, N.C., and Donald Conner of Pipestem; two daughters, Gail Conner of Level Cross, N.C., and Rita Carlson of King; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

MOUNT HOPE - Lillian Katherine Davis, 95, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born Sept. 22, 1905, in Bluefield, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lora Lyons Linkenhoker.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and dress seamstress at the Ladies Specialty Shop and Nokie's Dress Shop, Mount Hope. She was a lifelong member of Mount Hope Baptist Temple, where she served as a deaconess and secretary of the Ladies Bible Class for more than 20 years.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Floyd Davis; a sister, Helen Lester; and a brother, Lewis "Buster" Linkenhoker.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Bonifacio and husband, Floyd, of Mount Hope; two sons, Kenneth Davis and his wife, Edith, of Dade City, Fla., and Curt Davis and his wife, Helen, of Aiken, S.C.; seven grandsons, Rock Bonifacio of Mount Hope, Dean Bonifacio and his wife, Lori, of Old Grandview Road, Doug Bonifacio and his wife, Karen, of Beckley, Britt Davis of Lexington, Ky., Craig Davis and his wife, Mary, of Aiken, S.C., Scott Davis of Aiken and Mark Davis of Branson, Mo.; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and caregivers Helen and the Rev. OAK HILL - Lena Frances Seelinger Tully King, 86, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, following a long illness.
Born Oct. 17, 1914, in Edmond, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary King Seelinger.
Mrs. King was retired from Oak Hill Elementary, having taught over 40 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Alfred Tully, on Jan. 29, 1982; two brothers, Herbert and Terry Seelinger; and two sisters, Martha Ewing and Ila Brady.
Survivors include her husband, Orval King; a son, James D. Tully of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Susan Carpenter of Arroyo Grande, Calif.; a sister, Louise Miller of Ansted; a grandson and a granddaughter.
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Bernie Jernigan officiating. Interment will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.

Agnes Easton Nelson
ROANOKE, Va. - Agnes Easton Nelson, 86, entered into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000.
Born Dec. 27, 1913, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Andrew E. Easton and Agnes Lambie Easton.
Mrs. Nelson came to Roanoke in the late 1940s with her husband and family, and retired several years ago as a licensed practical nurse. She was a longtime member of Green Ridge Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother who cherished her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Nelson; and a grandson, Christopher K. Nelson.
Survivors include two sons, Charles A. Nelson and his wife, Jenny, and Bob Nelson and his wife, Liz, all of Roanoke; two daughters, Kay Parry and her husband, Garland, and Sue Payne, all of Roanoke; a brother, Alex Easton of Oak Hill; a sister, Ruth Easton of Oak Hill; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many close friends.
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Oakey's North Chapel, Roanoke, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park, Roanoke.
