MARLINTON - Anna Fitzwater Hamrick, 60, formerly of Lawn, passed away Monday, July 3, 2000, at her home following a serious illness.
Born Dec. 25, 1939, at Leslie, she was the daughter of Rhoda Davis Fitzwater of Rupert and the late Albert Fitzwater.
Mrs. Hamrick was a homemaker, a clerk at Wal-Mart and Snowshoe, a waitress at Marlinton Motor Inn, and had attended the Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow "Bill" Hamrick in 1991; a daughter, Beverly Cohenour; and two brothers, Arthur and Paul Fitzwater.
Other survivors include her mother, Rhoda Davis Fitzwater of Rupert; a daughter, Kimberly Bonk and her husband, Peter, of Strongville, Ohio; two sons, Michael and Keith Cohenour, both of Marlinton; two sisters, Ruth Meadows of Brooks and Barbara Carter of Mount Prospect, Ill.; and five brothers, Ernest Fitzwater of Sandstone, Joe Fitzwater of Rupert, Jesse Fitzwater of Viola, Del., Delbert Fitzwater of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, and Roger Fitzwater of Ephrata, Pa.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Wallace and Wallace Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Aaron Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at McElhenny cemetery, Grassy Meadows.
Friends called 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Brothers will serve as pallbearers.

Darrell 'Butch' Hawkins
MORGANTOWN Darrell Gene "Butch" Hawkins, 37, of 8 Scenic Woods Drive, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
Born Jan. 27, 1963, in Buckhannon, he was the son of the Darrell G. and Vivian Hawkins of Horner and Alice and Bennie Westfall of Morgantown.
Mr. Hawkins was a general laborer and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Walter Hawkins; his maternal grandparents, Hubert J. and Twila Smith; and her paternal grandparents, Glen and Nina Hawkins.
Survivors include five sons, David Hawkins of Erie, Pa., Zachery James Hawkins, Darrell Gene Hawkins III and Kyle Michael Hawkins, all of New York state, and Seth Hawkins of Georgia; a sister, Andrea and Larry Drapela of Brackenridge, Pa.; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; a stepsister, Delesa and Michael Haught of Weston; a stepsister, Christina and Robert Booker of Cross Lanes; a stepbrother, the Rev. Michael and Elizabeth Westfall of Volga; a stepbrother, Mark and Teresa Westfall of Buckhannon; a stepbrother, Bradley and Jodie Westfall of Morgantown; and several aunts and uncles.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, Buckhannon, with the Rev. Richard McGuire officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhannon Memorial Park.

Erma Lee Hinkle
HINES - Erma Lee Hinkle, 71, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at a community hospital in Roanoke, Va., following a long illness.
Born Jan. 23, 1929, in Anjean, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Lucy Trout George.
Mrs. Hinkle had been a resident of Hines since the early 1940s. She was a homemaker, a member of Hines Baptist Church and a very devoted mother to "Rex" Hinkle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward E. Hinkle on Oct. 12, 1994; and a sister, Darlene George.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Kay Coughlin and her husband, Charles, of Roanoke; two sons, Rexford E. "Rex" Hinkle and Howard "Darrell" Hinkle of Hines; three sisters, Loretta Green and her husband, John, of Tennessee, Norma Elliot and her husband, Don, of Florida and Susie Lane and her husband, Kenny, of Covington, Va.; a brother, Clifford George and his wife, Sylvia, of Florida; five grandchildren whom she loved and devoted her life to, Mike, Curtis, Jesse and Jennifer Coughlin of Roanoke and Melanie Witt and her husband, David, of Goodview, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Jared and Kathryn Whitt of Goodview.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hines Baptist Church, with the Revs. Gary Eiseman and Paul Legg officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial cemetery, Clintonville.

GLEN MORGAN - Sandra Lynn "Sandy" Forren Jones, 47, died Saturday, July 1, 2000, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.
Born May 8, 1953, in Bridgeton, N.J., she was the daughter of Lavada Smith Forren of Glen Morgan and the late Charles T. Forren.
Mrs. Jones spent her childhood on Sullivan Road, Glen Morgan, and was a lifelong resident of the Beckley area. She was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; Pee Wee Forren in 1955, Robert Forren in 1988 and Charles "Jay" Forren on April 13, 2000.
Other survivors include a daughter, Aleisha McAlpine of Charleston; two grandchildren, Aaron and Hannah McAlpine of Charleston; two sisters, Laura Forren of Beckley and Judy Morton and her husband, Woodie, of Princewick; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley with the Rev. John Catlett officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.

Mary Ann Kirby
LANCASTER, Ohio - Mary Ann Snyder Kirby, 88, formerly of Oak Hill, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at the home of her son in Lancaster following a long illness.
Born July 27, 1911, in Randolph County, she was the daughter of the late Elihugh and Ann Florence Sharp Snyder.
Mrs. Kirby was a homemaker.
Russell D. Bolen
Russell Delano Bolen, 66, of Tyler Farm Road, Glen White, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at his home.
Born April 24, 1934, in Jonben, he was the son of the late Lawrence Bolen and Myrtle Hodge Bolen.
Mr. Bolen was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Raleigh County Housing Authority, where he was a housing inspector.
He was a member of St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, and past state deputy member of Sophia-Midway VFW Post No. 4326.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Condry Bolen; three sons, Russell Bolen Jr. of Glen White, Lawrence Bolen and his wife, Sherri, of Spencer, N.C., and Michael Kevin Bolen and his wife, Deborah, of Coal City; three brothers, Donald Bolen and his wife, Frances, of Beckley, Jerry Bolen and his wife, Becky, of Sullivan and Ronald Bolen and his wife, Darlene, of Florida; two sisters, Helen James and her husband, Monroe, of Sullivan and Peggy Mills of Hinton; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral liturgy will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis deSales Catholic Church, Beckley, with the Rev. Father Samuel Sacus as celebrant. A rite of committal will follow in Thompson's cemetery, Coal City.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, where a rosary will be conducted by Deacon Don Wise at 8 p.m.
Members of the Knights of Columbus, Father John Halpin Council No. 5657, will serve as pallbearers.

Jaylon K. Broxton
Jaylon K. Broxton, 4, of 205 Crawford St., Beckley, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Charleston Area Medical Center.
Born Oct. 16, 1995, in Beckley, he was the son of David Broxton and Xavia Jones of Beckley.
Jaylon was a student at Head Start and a member of Outreach For Christ Christian Center.
Other survivors include a sister, Ulani Jones of Beckley; his maternal grandmother, Bessie Jones of Beckley; maternal grandfather, Toney Puryear of New Jersey; two uncles, Troy Jones of Huntington and Toney Jones III and his wife, Ana, of Fort Stewart, Ga.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Outreach For Christ Christian Center, 416 G St., Beckley, with the Rev. Thomas Steelman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Beckley.

Anderson 'A.C.' Ford
Anderson Charles "A.C." Ford, 69, of Stanaford, formerly of Chattanooga, Tenn., died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in the veterans hospital, Beckley, following a long illness.
Born July 10, 1931, in Huntsville, Ala., he was the son of the late George Blankenship and Ella Beatrice Ford.
A.C. was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a dedicated fan of the Atlanta Braves baseball team and loved watching "Judge Judy" and "Matlock" on television.
He came to Stanaford in 1994 and resided with his Aunt Anna Mae Smith, who preceded him in death in 1995.
At the time of his death, A.C. resided with his cousin, Aline Baskin Epps, who loved and cared for him faithfully until his death.
He leaves to cherish his memory a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Services will be noon Thursday at Durgan Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with Elder Luther Hairston and the Rev. Calvin Moore Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
