HINTON - Dorothy Mae Curry, 71, of 516 Greenbrier Drive, died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2000, in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a long illness.
Born Nov. 6, 1928, in Hinton, she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Mabel McGhee Honaker.
Mrs. Curry was a former registered nurse for Hinton Hospital and Summers County Hospital, and retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Beckley.
She was a graduate of Hinton High School and the St. Francis School of Nursing, Charleston, and was a member of the American Nurses Association. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Hinton.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Ann Mace.
Survivors include her husband, Frank E. Curry; two brothers, David Honaker and his wife, Mary Ellen, of Hinton, and Robert Honaker and his wife, Phyllis, of Twinsburg, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Carolyn Lilly of Hinton and Betty Grimmett of Frankford, Ill.; a niece, Christy Pierson; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel, Hinton. Rite of committal will follow in Restwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a Christian prayer service will be held at 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Robert, Michael and Christopher Honaker, Frank and Bill Mace, and Michael Pierson.

Harold D. Dickenson
Harold Duff Dickenson, 74, of Kyle Lane, Beckley, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, in a Beckley hospital following a short illness.
Born July 25, 1925, in Wilder, Va., he was the son of the late Samuel David and Mattie White Dickenson.
Mr. Dickenson spent his childhood in Bishop, Va., and was a 1943 graduate of Tazewell (Va.) High School. He had been a resident of Beckley since 1974 and retired from the United Mine Workers of America in 1987. He was a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church, the Friendship Sunday School Class, a life member of VFW Post 4326 of Midway, American Legion Post 32 of Beckley and the Crab Orchard-MacArthur Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Howard and Homer Dickenson.
Survivors include his wife whom he married June 4, 1949, Sybil Schell Dickenson; a son, Harold Martin "Dusty" Dickenson of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, William R. Dickenson and his wife, Rochelle, of Pulaski, Va., and Samuel D. Dickenson Jr. and his wife, Margie, of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Lucy Trivett and her husband, Alan, of Roanoke, Va., Shirley Beavers and her husband, A.R., and Gloria Jean Brewster and her husband, Daniel, all of Bishop.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Melton Mortuary Chapel, Beckley, with the Rev. Phillips Shields officiating. Committal services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Mausoleum, Grandview cemetery, Tazewell Road, Bluefield, Va. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 4326 of Midway.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the MacArthur Lions Club.

Andrew 'Andy' Harrah
Andrew "Andy" Harrah, 87, of Stanaford, died at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2000, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a long illness.
Born Feb. 17, 1913, at Backus Mountain, he was the son of the late Andy Lewis Harrah and Laura Pugh Harrah Ward.
Mr. Harrah was a retired coal miner and had been a resident of Stanaford for 45 years.
He was a member of Stana-ford Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Lee Harrah; a grandson, Roby R. Mills; four brothers, Harvey, Elgie, Luther and Nelson Harrah; and two sisters, Addie and Ethel.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Kathleen Smith Harrah; four sons, Larry Harrah and his wife, Viola, of Stanaford, Delford Harrah and Paul Harrah, both of Stanaford, and Matthew Harrah of Beaver; six daughters, Linda Harrah of Beckley, Leona Mills and her husband, Roscoe, of Vance, Ala., Wilma Harrah and Shelby Hopkins of Prosperity, Darlene Toney of Stanaford, Bonnie Ellis and her husband, Andy, of Birmingham, Ala., and Janet Cardona of Prosperity; four brothers, Arnold Harrah and his wife, Nancy, of Shady Spring, Delmer Harrah and his wife, Geraldine, of Glen White, Gilbert Harrah and his wife, Irene, of Beckley, and Everette Harrah and his wife, Wilda, of Beckley; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with Pastor Roger Tolliver officiating. Burial will follow in Harrah cemetery, Backus Mountain.

QUINWOOD - Virginia E. Nutter, 83, died Sunday, June 4, 2000, in Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea, following a long illness.
Born March 6, 1917, in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late George and Rosa Adkins Parker.
Mrs. Nutter was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, Quinwood, where she served as a deaconess. She lived in Quinwood for more than 52 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Lemon Nutter, on Nov. 2, 1991; a son, William J. Nutter, on Jan. 30, 1948; four sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Yoder and her husband, John, of Downington, Pa., Patricia Fraley of Quinwood and Elizabeth Kay Ferguson of Quinwood; four sons, Jack Nutter and his wife, Carol, of Rainelle, Alfred Nutter of Manuta, Ohio, Eddie Nutter and his wife, Patty, of Quinwood, and John Nutter of Quinwood; a sister, Irene Attillis and her husband, Al, of Alexandria, Va.; 15 grandchildren, Butch Nutter, Bill Nutter, Kim Mitz, Brian Nutter, Tammy Cottrill, Michael Nutter, Glenn Belcher Jr., Debbie Bowers, DiAnna Breeding, David McClung, Gregg McClung, Chad Nutter, Jason Nutter, Sara Timmons and Jim Nutter; and 29 great-grandchildren.

RENICK - Tracy Dean Pack, 23, died at 2:14 a.m. Sunday, June 4, 2000, on U.S. 219 near Pickaway following an automobile accident.
Born May 18, 1977, in Clifton Forge, Va., he was the son of Roy Dean and Delsie McMahan Pack of Renick.
Tracy was a member of the Seventh Day Adventists Church of Lewisburg.
He attended Greenbrier East High School and Shenandoah Christian Academy, New Market, Va., and earned his GED diploma.
Tracy was associated with his family-owned business, The Saw Pitt Inn at Renick.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Pack, in 1973; a half brother, Stephen Dale Pack, in 1953; and his grandfathers, Ira McMahan and Omar Pack.
Other survivors include two half brothers, Roy K. Pack and his wife, Barbara, and Jeffrey Pack and his wife, Betty, all of Ballard; a half sister, Sandra Via and her husband, Nathan, of Gold Band, Va.; and his grandmothers, Beatrice McMahan of Renick and Lorna Pack of Indian Mills.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at the Memorial Chapel of McCraw Funeral Home, Lewisburg, with Pastor R.L. "Dock" Michael officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg.
