Hank Junior Mollohan
Hank Junior Mollohan, age 87, of Flatwoods, WV, died Tuesday, June 5, 2006, at CAMC, Memorial Division, Charleston, WV, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born 7/27/1918 at Marpleton, WV, he was the son of the late H.J. and Anna Hutchinson Mollohan. He was married for 64 years and and was a Foster parent for 27 years. He was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer. A WW II veteran, he was a Sergeant in the Army Air Force. Mr. Mollohan attended the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Heaters Lions Club, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a past member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge. His one passion in life was farming.
Survivors include his wife, Angele Maser Mollohan. Two sons, Michael H. Mollohan and his wife, Suzie of Parkersburg; Robert T. Mollohan and his wife, Shelia, of Crawley, WV. Four daughters, Susan K. Lunceford and husband Bill of Hackers Valley, WV; Cathy A. Duke and her husband Roger of Chester, WV; Betty S. Moore and son Brent of Heaters, WV; and Wanda Snyder and her husband George of Weston, WV. Two Foster sons; Robert Edwards of Flatwoods, WV and Billy Coffman of Gassaway, WV. 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, H.B., Charles and Edward Mollohan and one sister Edith Kinder.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home, Flatwoods, WV, with Reverends John McQuain and Billy Griffin, officiating. Burial followed in the Lunceford-Mollohan Cemetery, Caress, WV. military service was conducted at the graveside. Friends were able to call from 6 til 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, at the funeral home.
Gerald Eugene Robinson
Gerald Eugene Robinson, 77, of Little Birch, WV died June 6, 2006 at his residence. He was born October 13, 1928 in Sutton, WV to the late Ode & Grace Jackson Robinson. Also preceding him in death was his wife Lillian F. Jackson Robinson.
He was a Christian, an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a retired self-employed truck driver.
He is survived by four sons, Jerry & Gary of Sutton, WV and Rodney Jackson & David Robinson of Little Birch, WV and two daughters Sandie Cunningham of Little Birch, WV and Debbie Rhodes of Henderson, NC. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, WV with Rev. Linn Schiefer and Rev. Mike Sisson officiating. Burial was in the Robinson Cemetery, Polemic Run, Little Birch, WV with military Graveside Rites by American Legion Post #33.

Patty Sue Wells
Patty Sue Wells, 64 of Sutton, West Virginia, formerly of Lorain, Ohio died Monday morning, June 5, 2006 at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio following a brief illness. She was born on April 2, 1942 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Mrs. Wells moved in 1953 to Lorain, where she resided for forty years. In 1993 she moved to Sutton, where she had been living.
She worked at a district manager for The Lorain Journal (Morning Journal) and later as an aide in the physical therapy department of Ohio Extended Care, Lorain.
Mrs. Wells enjoyed oil painting, charcoal drawing, cooking, camping and gardening.
She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Charles E. Wells, who retired after thirty-five years of service at Ford Motor Company, Lorain Assembly Plant; her sons, Charles E. Wells, Jr. of Lorain, Gordon Scott Wells of San Diego, California, Gerald R. Wells of Camp Pendleton, California and Charles E. Wells III of Sutton; her daughters, Debbra Wells-Randall of Sutton and Charisse L. Cseh of Lorain; her brothers, Elwood McMillen of Springfield, Ohio and Densil G. Smith of Lorain; her sisters Erma F. Ison of Georgia and Carol M. Behnke of Elyria, Ohio; many grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her brother, Carlos C. Collins, three great granddaughters, and her parents Fay M. Smith and Mary V. (nee: McMillen) Smith-Duerr.
Service was at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 9 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Mark Hornish officiating. Burial was in the Wells Family Cemetery of Sutton. Friends were able to call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
James R. "Babe" Six
James R. “Babe” Six, 81, of Gassaway died June 7, 2006, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1924, in Braxton County and was a son of the late Wesley and Jane Short Six.
He was retired from Hope Gas Company with 35 years of service. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II who was aboard the USS Missouri during the signing of the peace treaty. He was a member of American Legion Post 33 and a graduate of Sutton High School. He attended West Virginia Tech, where he played football, and played for the “Company G” Gassaway baseball team. He was a member of Gassaway United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Brady Six; son, James R. “Jimmy” Six Jr. and wife, Melissa, of Pickerington, Ohio; daughters, Debbie Gum and husband, Melvin “Buster,” of Gassaway and Susan Belknap of Leivasy; and grandchildren, Kimberly Gum, Michael Belknap, James Belknap, Cynthia Belknap, Amber Belknap, Josiah Six and Joshua Six.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde and Richard Six, and sister, Kay Schaff.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, with the Rev. Stephen J. White officiating. Burial with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 33 in Jarvis Cemetery, near Gassaway. Friends were able to call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Otis Burl Ice
Otis Burl Ice, 68, of Frametown, died June 17, 2006 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1938 in Braxton County a son of the late Dempsey and Sylvia Elizabeth Wilson Ice.
He was a coal miner, timber man and a farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Candie Dobbins Ice; children, Elizabeth Moore and husband Lawrence of Frametown, Judy Gregory and husband Arthur of Ohio, Olen B. Ice and wife Terri of Fort Riley, KS, Scottie T. Ice and wife Tina of Frametown, Beverly Myers of Oak Hill; sisters, Vada Marks of Stumptown, Cheryl Perkins of Ohio, Etta Evans of Centerville, Wilma Jones of Ohio, Dorothy Sharp of Robins; brothers, Dempsey Ice Jr. of Rosedale, Dennis Ice of Ohio; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brother, Howard Scott “Curly” Ice.
Service were 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. Larry Conrad officiating. Burial will be in the Nicut Cemetery.

Pauline Lois Mowery
Pauline Lois Mowery, 83, of Gassaway died June 20, 2006 at home.
She was born August 22, 1922, a daughter of the late Lon and Vicie Jackson James.
She was a homemaker ran the Dairy Community Bar; she was a member of the Engle Chapel Community Church, Gassaway.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dallas “Bubby” Mowery; son Freddie Mowery and wife, Wanda of Gassaway; daughters, Shelia McCord and husband Kenny of Roanoke, WV, Suzie Facemire and husband Bobby of Gassaway; brothers, Cody James of Newville, Glen James of Highland, CA, Jimmie James of Hedgesville, Johnnie James of Chapel; sisters, Maxine Hughes of Ravenswood and Jyrlene Jordan of Gold Canyon, AZ; grandsons, Chris and Sam Mowery of Gassaway; several nieces and nephews.
Service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. Darrell Ramsey and Evangelist Markco Pritt officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, near Gassaway. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 22 at the funeral home.
Doris M. Gallaher
Doris M. Gallaher, 76, of Flatwoods, went home to be with her Lord on June 20, 2006 after a long courageous battle with Lung Cancer.
She was born January 27, 1930 at Holly, WV a daughter of Lena Dennison Given of Frametown and the late George W. Dennison.
She was a faithful member of the Gassaway United Methodist Church where she served on the Administration Board, United Methodist Women and was a member of the GFWC – Woman’s Club of Gassaway.
She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and above all else, a devout Christian who was always willing to listen with a compassionate, loving ear. She will be missed by all those who were blessed to know her.
In addition to her father she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Gallaher: brothers, Clark and Kenneth Dennison; infant son, Michael Allen Gallaher.
She is survived by her mother, Lena Dennison Given of Frametown; sons, Mark E. Gallaher and wife, Linda of New Hampshire, Scott Gallaher and wife, Connie of Flatwoods; daughter, Ann Richmond and husband, Bruce of Beckley; sister, Karen Sue Jones of Charleston; grandsons, Matthew Gallaher of CA and Seth Adams of Beckley; granddaughter, Courtney Sartin of Beckley; and a special lady she loved like a daughter, Lucy Stalnaker.
Services were held at 1 pm Saturday, June 24 at the Gassaway United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen J. White and Rev. Gene Adkins officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery, Caress.

Kevin R. Williams
Kevin R. Williams, 36, of Flatwoods, passed away Friday June 23, 2006 in Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. after a long illness.
He was born on February 25, 1970, the son of Stephen A. Williams and Brenda M. Bee Rose.
He is survived by his parents, one son, Codie Ray Williams of Columbia, SC. /two sisters, Erica Wine of Heaters, WV. and Heather Rhodes of Gassaway, WV.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday June 25, 2006 at Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home in Flatwoods with the Rev. Bill Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Sutton Cemetery in Sutton, WV. Friends may call from 6-8:00 PM Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Oley Ord Facemire
Oley Ord Facemire, 97, of Fairmont, passed away Friday, June 16, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Facemire was born July 4, 1908 in Little Birch, West Virginia. He moved to Hagans Community, West Virginia in 1938.
He retired from the West Virginia State Road.
He was a Christian and attended various churches.
He is survived by seven children: Mary Cross of Minneapolis, MN, Dorthy Headly of Mt. Morris, PA, Nannie Perkins of Bath, NY, Mildred Duelley of Chestertown, MD, Paul Facemire of Beltsville, MD, Linda Perkins of Severn, MD and Ruth Peacock of Bowie, MD.
He was also survived by his good friend and caregiver, Linda; 18 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Madge Carpenter, second wife Stella Crites, two sons Loyd and Earl and 3 grandchildren.
Friends and family called at the Ford Funeral Home, DeGarmo Chapel, Second and Jasper Street, Rivesville, on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services were held in the funeral home on Tuesday (June 20, 2006) at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Stanley Merrifield officiating. Interment followed at the Arnettsville Cemetery in Arnettsville, WV.
