INWOOD, W.Va. - Willa Jeane McDonald, 69, of Inwood, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at her home.
Born Feb. 10, 1929, in Inwood, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Maurie Staub Hammersla.
She attended Berkeley County schools and was a 1946 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was an active member of Darkesville United Methodist Church, where she served as church organist and director of the adult choir and music department. She also was a member of the Christian Workers Class and served on elective offices in the church.
She was a past member of the local Kenna Chapter of Isaak Walton League of America, where she served a term as president. For many years, she was a member of Sweet Adelines Barbershop Chorus in Winchester, Va.
She was associated with the family business with her husband at the McDonald Farm Machinery at Pikeside, for more than 30 years.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, C. W. "Bub" McDonald; two daughters, Gail Elizabeth Fidelman of Baltimore and Kathryn Annette Campo of Hanover, Pa.; a son, Charles William McDonald of Inwood; a sister, Vera H. Reid of Charles Town, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Darkesville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Khrista Ferguson and the Rev. Robert D. Hershberger will officiate. Burial will be in Gerrardstown Presbyterian cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, W.Va.; and Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the services at the church.

Marshall G. Pierson
HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Marshall Glenn Pierson, 60, of Harpers Ferry, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Feb. 27, 1938, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Dana Douglas and Nellie Frances Brackett Pierson.
He was a pipe foreman for William A. Hazel Co.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Elizabeth Dillow Pierson; three daughters, Stephanie Pierson of Summit Point, W.Va., Shelly Pierson and Sherri Pierson, both of Harpers Ferry; two sisters, Sally Tomlin and Nancy Loudan, both of Charles Town, W.Va.; five brothers, Carl D. Pierson of Bakerton, W.Va., Charles D. Pierson of Harpers Ferry, Wallace Pierson, Daniel L. Pierson and Benny L. Pierson, all of Charles Town; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Pierson; and two sisters, Pearl I. Wilt and Leona Hostler.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, W.Va. The Rev. Lee R. Strickler will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Virginia L. Michael
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Virginia Lee Michael, 84, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 10, 1913, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Martin Ezra and Nellie Lamar Michael.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one niece, Susan M. Harding of Inwood, W.Va.; one great-niece; and her sister-in-law, Petie Michael, with whom she resided.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Charles L. Michael.
Services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Al Clipp will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Mildred R. Coughlin
RANSON, W.Va. - Mildred Rita Coughlin, 75, of Ranson, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at her home.
Born March 14, 1923, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Marie Maccitis Maguire of Pennsylvania, and the late Joseph Maguire.
Her husband, William H. Coughlin Sr., died in 1994.
She was a housewife.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Charles Town, W.Va.
She is survived by one daughter, Elaine Willis of Charles Town; two sons, William H. Coughlin Jr. of Charles Town, and Gerald F. Coughlin of Mount Airy, Md.; two sisters, Dorothy Thomas and June O'Neill, both of Philadelphia; one brother, Joseph Maguire of Norfolk, Va.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial donations may be made to Citizens and Independent Fire Companies of Charles Town.

Georgia E. Keller
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Georgia Etta Keller, 96, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Sept. 22, 1901, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julie Masters McDonald.
Her husband, Earl P. Keller, preceded her in death.
She was a member of Winchester Avenue Christian Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Beatrice Bowers of Martinsburg; two sons, Lee V. Keller of Baltimore, and George E. Keller of Martinsburg; two sisters, Estella Hatison of Gaithersburg, Md., and Reva McDonald of Martinsburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert McDonald, John McDonald and Arlington McDonald; and one grandson.
Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Devin B. Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

Rev. Clinton W. Faircloth
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Rev. Clinton W. Faircloth, 76, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Nov. 30, 1921, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late George Ashby and Ivy Myrtle Miller Faircloth.
He was a graduate of business school in Baltimore.
He was founder and pastor of Community Chapel in Martinsburg, until his health failed.
He retired from General Motors in 1980, and was formerly employed in the service station business.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lillie McDaniel Faircloth; three daughters, Theresa Parsons and Patsy Moreland, both of Martinsburg, and Norma Cogar of Arden, W.Va.; four sons, Vincent Faircloth of Gerrardstown, W.Va., and Kenneth Faircloth, Danny Faircloth and Terry Faircloth, all of Martinsburg; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Faircloth; one infant son; four sisters, Relva McDonald, Sylvia Edwards, Mildred VanHorn and Minnie Faircloth; and four brothers, Wilber Faircloth, Guy Faircloth, Eddie Faircloth and James Faircloth.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Johnny Faircloth and the Rev. Bob Ardinger will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

Mary H. Lingamfelter
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Mary Hilda Lingamfelter, 96, of Willowdale, Hedgesville, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1998, at Golden Age Paradise in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Oct. 10, 1901, at Willowdale in Hedgesville, she was the daughter of the late Walter Bruffy and Katherine Myers Kilmer Lingamfelter.
She was a descendant of Col. Morgan Morgan and Josiah Hedges, founder of Hedgesville.
She was a 1920 graduate of Hedgesville High School.
She was a member and past regent of The National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution; Past Regents Club, DAR; United Daughters of Confederacy and an honorary past division president; and the West Virginia Division Ex-Presidents Club, UDC.
She was a member, regent and honorary state regent of the National Society, Daughters of the American Colonists. She also was a member of West Virginia State Society Officers Club, DAC (president); The National Society of the Dames of the Court of Honor; The National Society Magna Charta Dames; West Virginia Historical Commission; Berkeley County Historical Society (treasurer).
She is survived by two nieces, Avalon Lingamfelter Blizzard of North Mountain, W.Va., and Laila Lingamfelter Stout of Vermont and Arizona.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Georgianna K. Seibert; and two brothers, Robert L. Lingamfelter and Paul L. Lingamfelter.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mount Zion Episcopal Church in Hedgesville. The Rev. David D. Bicking will officiate. Burial will be in Hedgesville cemetery.

Edith V. Tanner
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Edith V. Tanner, 62, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Dec. 26, 1935, she was the daughter of William and Minnie Gano Fogle of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther "Larry" Tanner.
She is survived by three sons, Richard A. Sumner of Bladensburg, Md., Wayne Sumner of Port Matilda, Pa., and Thomas L. Sumner of Wheaton, Md.; a sister, Mary Lippart of New Market, Md.; four brothers, Charles Fogle of Comus, Md., William Fogle of Pennsylvania, and Fred Fogle and Philip Fogle, both of California; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Belle Sine.
Graveside services were held Sunday, Aug. 9, at 3:30 p.m., at Paynes Chapel cemetery. The Rev. Khrista Ferguson officiated.
