SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Laura Catherine Armstrong "Cathy" Creamer, of Shenandoah Junction, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Born in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Tom M. and Lucille M. Thacker Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John E. Chaney, and her second husband, Harry W. Creamer.
She retired from Potomac Insurance Agency as an insurance agent.
She was a member of Kearneysville Presbyterian Church.
She was a member of Presbyterian Women of the Church, Women of the Moose Lodge 1028, Shepherdstown Order of Eastern Star 155 and Edgewood Homemakers Extension.
She is survived by two daughters, Anne Andagan of Ranson, W.Va., and Judy K. Williams of Charleston, W.Va.; six stepchildren, Bertha M. Braithwaite, Eleanor H. Rickard and Penny G. Ahalt, all of Shenandoah Junction, Linda L. Mason of Inwood, W.Va., Sylvia S. Creamer of Charles Town, W.Va., and Stephen L. Creamer of Colorado; a sister, Doris Jean Emmel of Green Bay, Wis.; two brothers, Robert Lee Armstrong of Washington, D.C., and William P. Armstrong of Florida; five grandchildren; 25 stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and 24 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Gentry and Martha Jane Armstrong; and four brothers, Thomas Armstrong, Luther G. Armstrong, Daniel Armstrong and George Armstrong.
A memorial service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, W.Va. The Rev. Robin Reese will officiate. Burial will be private.
Kenneth H. Manning
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Kenneth H. Manning, 74, of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at his home.
Born July 24, 1923, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late W.T. and Estell Lockhart Manning.
He retired from DuPont.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army 69th Infantry Division.
He was a charter member of Westview Baptist Church.
He was a member of 69th Infantry Division Association; Newton D. Baker Post 896 VFW; Berkeley Post 14, American Legion; and Martinsburg Lodge 120, Loyal Order of Moose.
He is survived by his wife, Hester Canby Manning at home; a sister, Elaine Santmier of Martinsburg; and nieces and nephews, including Debbie Wetzel and Brian Mahoney, whom he raised.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, LaGarde Manning, Jim Manning and Donald Manning; and a sister, Imo Brookey.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Revs. Johnny Kelley and Malcolm L. Cadd will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ethel M. Shewbridge
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Ethel Mae Shewbridge, 91. of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 26, 1998.
Born July 4, 1906, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Fannie Ridings Grund.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hunter L. Shewbridge, in 1973.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Bible Class.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, including Bonnie L. Keller and Mary Pat Keller Showe, both of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Leah Wild and Catherine Grund.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. James D. Riley Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Leona P. O'Rourke
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Leona P. O'Rourke, 80, formerly of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born March 28, 1918, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Martin Emmert Copenhaver and Anna Butts Copenhaver Cushwa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O'Rourke.
She was a 1936 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was the office manager at Royal Jewelers for 45 years. She also was associated with her husband in the family business, Allied Paint and Art.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher, president of Women's Society of Christian Service and church treasurer. She also was a member of Fidelis Class.
She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie O. Brannon of Inwood, W.Va.; a son, Donald Martin O'Rourke of Covington, Ky.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, July 4, at 11 a.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church. The Rev. Albert L. Clipp will officiate. Private burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. prior to and after the services in the church sanctuary.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Angelo J. Provenzano, 68, of Shepherdstown, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born July 28, 1929, in Signack, N.J., he was the son of the late Domenic and Elvira Ruffolo Provenzano.
He retired as owner and operator of Angelo's Golf Shop in Washington, D.C.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Street Provenzano; a daughter, Margarita Lee Provenzano of Shepherdstown; three sons, Gregory Provenzano of Encinitas, Calif., Domenic Philip Provenzano of Washington and Joseph Edward Provenzano of Los Angeles; a sister, Helen Donnelly of Beacon, N.Y.; a brother, Edward Provenzano of Venice, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church. The Rev. Matthew T. Rowgh will be celebrant. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to services.

Born June 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Leslie Edward and Mary C. Moberly Stein.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church.
She was a member of Post 738 Women of the Moose, VFW and American Legion Women's Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Ray W. Hudspith; a daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Pulse of Martinsburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice D. Catrow; and three brothers, Melvin Stein, William Stein and Willard Stein.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. R. Shawn Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

RANSON, W.Va. - Christopher Scott Kranenberg-Wolfe, infant son of C. R. Wolfe and Raychel Kranenberg, of Fourth Avenue, was stillborn Thursday, June 25, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Kathy and Raymond Cadwell of Fox Glen, W.Va.; paternal grandmother, Darlene Wolfe of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; maternal great-grandparents, Ted and Ruth Kranenberg of Fox Glen; paternal great-grandparents, Harold and Joyce Wolfe of Ranson; maternal great-great-grandmother, Camilla Willingham of Ranson; and aunts and uncles.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va. The Rev. Donna Herritt will officiate.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - L. David LeRoy, 78, of Happy Creek, died Saturday, June 27, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born Jan. 2, 1920, in Tignall, Ga., he was the son of the late Lansing B. Jr. and Glennie David LeRoy.
He was a graduate of University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
He retired as a journalist from U.S. News and World Report magazine.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He received a Purple Heart, European African Middle East Theater Ribbon, American Defense Service Ribbon and Medal, and authorized three Bronze Service Stars for Tunisia, Naples Foggia Rome Arno campaigns.
He was a member of Opequon Presbyterian Church in Kernstown, Va.
He was a life member and past president of the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., and a member of the National Rifle Association, Izaak Walton Club in Leetown, W.Va., and Jackson-Perks American Legion Post 71 in Charles Town.
He is survived by two sons, David C. LeRoy of Charles Town, W.Va., and Gregory A. LeRoy of Chicago; a sister, Dorothy L. Pharr of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Lansing B. LeRoy III of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Grace LeRoy.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park cemetery in Winchester, Va.

Born Feb. 22, 1924, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late James E. and Zora E. Broy Willingham.
His wife, Audrey Virginia Lake Willingham, preceded him in death.
He was employed by Halltown Paperboard Co. in Halltown, W.Va., and farmed for the Cooper McQuilkin Farm in Shepherdstown.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town, W.Va.
He is survived by four daughters, Ruth Ann Martz of Martinsburg, Linda Parris of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Brenda Nadeau of Saco, Maine, and Bonnie Willingham of Brunswick, Md.; three sons, Charles Willingham of Radecliff, Ky., Warren Willingham of Clarksville, Tenn., and David Stevens of Martinsburg; two sisters, Ida V. Frye of Shepherdstown and Margaret M. Mong of Martinsburg; two brothers, William S. Willingham of Shepherdstown and Clifford H. Willingham of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances K. Willingham; and five brothers, Ernest, Frank, John, Robert and Wesley Willingham.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Thomas Jacoby will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill cemetery in Berryville, Va.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
