BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Christine Jo Kelley Lewis, 58, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at her home.
Born June 14, 1940, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Paul Edward Kelley and Gladys Virginia Webster Smith.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Berkeley Springs.
She is survived by her husband, James A. Lewis Jr.; two daughters, Susan Lewis Pruchnicki of Orlando, Fla., and Kelly Hall of Durham, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Edward Lewis.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Stephen Cuff will officiate. Burial will be private.
There will be no viewing.

MARLOWE, W.Va. - Jane B. Landis, 80, of Marlowe, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Feb. 20, 1918, in Charles Town, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late David S. and Jennie F. Fulton Brown.
She was a 1935 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She retired from Corning Glass Works.
She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church, Marlowe.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert N. Landis; three daughters, Mary Katharine Owens and Roberta Mae Routzahn, both of Marlowe, and Betty Jane Dellinger of Williamsport; one sister, Katharine Reid of Williamsport; four grandsons; two stepgrandsons; two great-grandchildren; and six nieces.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret H. Porterfield.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. P. Ray Roberson will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony cemetery, Marlowe.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marvin F. Hite
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Marvin Francis Hite, 76, of Hedgesville, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 15, 1922, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Allen L. and Edna V. Garrett Hite.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vada Cole Hite.
He was a 1940 graduate of Hedgesville High School.
He was a member of Hedgesville United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Full Gospel Business Association.
He is survived by two daughters, Elaine F. Miller of Hedgesville and Joan M. Moxley of Mount Airy, Md.; one son, Douglas M. Hite of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Dorothy Young of Clifton, N.J., Jean Leget of Beltsville, Md., and Nancy Coleman of Norfolk, Va.; two brothers, Charles C. Hite of Greenville, S.C., and Philip W. Hite of Lynchburg, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Edward Eugene Hite; one sister, Josephine M. Armbrester; and three brothers, A. Russell Hite, Richard L. Hite and Bernard N. Hite.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Terri S. Cofiell will officiate. Burial will be in Falling Waters Presbyterian cemetery, Spring Mills.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Helen L. Paglianete
WHITINGS NECK, W.Va. - Helen Louise Paglianete, 69, of Whitings Neck, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at her home.
Born Aug. 18, 1928, in Texas City, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reyes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Joseph Paglianete.
She retired as a librarian.
She was a volunteer at Burke Street School, where she helped set up the library.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Dianna Marie Paglianete Casey of Frederick, Md.; two sons, Dominick Joseph Paglianete of Washington, D.C., and James Joseph Paglianete of Frederick, Md.; one brother, Gerald Reyes of Alta Vista, Texas; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. William J. Nolte Jr. will be celebrant. Entombment will be in Maranatha Memorial Garden, Martinsburg, W.Va.
The family will meet Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, before going to the church.
A vigil service will be held today at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lucy L. Rodefer
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Lucy Lee Rodefer, 86, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Aug. 23, 1911, in Charles Town, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Virda Simpson Rodeffer.
She attended Charles Town High School.
She retired from the U.S. Government at the State Department in Washington, D.C.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Charles Town.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Pauline Rodefer, Gertrude MacKay, Frances R. Walters and Luella Katherine Smith; and three brothers, John Rodeffer, William Rodeffer and Berry Rodeffer.
Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. James Chambly will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.
The family will receive friends today one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Harry E. Miller
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Harry Elmer Miller, 72, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at his home.
Born Jan. 18, 1926, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Harry and Lola Fritzman Miller.
He attended Morgan County schools.
He worked as a groundsman with Cacapon State Park and later drove the stock truck for Ridge Fish Hatchery. He then worked as a tow truck driver with Glen Kidwell's Garage, Berkeley Springs. He started his career with Pennsylvania Glass Sand Corp. in Berkeley Springs as a carpenter and electrician, retiring in 1988 after 32 years of service.
He was a Methodist.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 992, Berkeley Springs. He was an associate member of South Morgan Volunteer Fire Department, Morgan County.
He is survived by three daughters, Phyllis M. Heironimus and Sandra L. Michael, both of Berkeley Springs, and Betty M. Lubin of Danville, Va.; a son, Steven P. Miller of Kearneysville, W.Va.; two sisters, Lelia Mason and Helen J. Shingleton, both of Berkeley Springs; a brother, James Lester Miller of Berkeley Springs; a half sister, Linda Painter of Verona, Va.; a half brother, Glenn Miller of Crimora, Va.; three grandsons; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Greenwood United Methodist Church, Winchester Grade Road, Unger, W.Va. The Rev. Hennis H. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Grove cemetery, Unger.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, and Sunday one hour prior to services at the church. The funeral home will be open today from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Jahydi De'Quan Redman, infant son of Robert and Moneta Johnson Redman of Martinsburg, died Thursday, June 25, 1998, at City Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Alisha Johnson of Martinsburg; paternal grandmother, Annie Redman of Martinsburg; and great-grandparents, Bernice Burrell of Philadelphia, and Clifton Green and Guy and June Johnson, all of Martinsburg.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 9 a.m. in Mount Hope cemetery. The Rev. Brenda Dozier will officiate.

Geraldine K. Phalen
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Geraldine Kathryn Phalen, 76, of Martinsburg, died Friday, June 26, 1998, at her home.
Born Jan. 14, 1922, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lee W. and Edna Byers Pooke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Phalen Sr., in 1989.
She was a 1940 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was retired from Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where she worked in administration.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church.
She was a member of Moose Lodge 120 and Ladies of the Elks 778, both of Martinsburg, and American Legion Post 211 of Funkstown.
She is survived by a daughter, Robin L. Kent of Martinsburg; four sons, Gary L. Phalen of Woodstock, Va., Terry W. Phalen of Sterling, Va., and Michael P. Phalen and Charles W. Phalen Jr., both of Martinsburg; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a nephew and a niece.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia G. Bowers.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, 2060 Rosedale Road. The Revs. William Merkie and Paul Stanley will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
