MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - James "Jim" D. George, 43, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, June 16, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
Born March 13, 1955, in Martinsburg, he was the son of C.D. and Frances Myers George.
He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Rosa Fravel George; five sisters, Beverly George and Norma "Jeanie" Bishop, both of Inwood, W.Va., Susan Johnson, Mary "Peachy" George and Linda George, all of Martinsburg; and one brother, Jack George of Martinsburg.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Tomahawk cemetery, Tomahawk, W.Va. The Rev. L. Jack Rudy will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.
Kenneth J. Clowser
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Kenneth J. Clowser, 78, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, June 20, 1998, at his home.
Born March 29, 1920, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clifford and Helen Little Clowser.
He was of the Catholic faith.
He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 778; and Moose Lodge 120, both in Martinsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Dagny R. Clowser; two sons, Marshall L. Clowser and Mark S. Clowser, both of Martinsburg; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 2015 Boyd Orchard Court, Martinsburg, W.Va. 25401.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Mary Ella Dorsey, 80, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at her home.
Born April 28, 1918, in Elkton, Va., she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson Snow Jr. and Sadie M. Southard Snow.
Her husband, Perry L. Dorsey Sr., preceded her in death.
She was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Betty L. Dorsey, Ginger D. Anderson, Barbara A. Kleptach and Alice F. Dorsey, all of Martinsburg, and Nancy M. Dorsey of Stephens City, Va.; five sons, John R. Dorsey Sr., Perry L. Dorsey Jr., Ward B. Dorsey, David W. Dorsey and Robert G. Dorsey, all of Martinsburg; three sisters, Virginia Smeltzer, Irene Eisenhower and Virginia Mills, all of Martinsburg; three brothers, Elmer J. Snow, Herman Snow and Lloyd E. Snow, all of Martinsburg; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles W. Dorsey and Harry C. Dorsey; and a brother, Frank Shifflett.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Revs. Donald B. Smith and Thomas L. Tennis will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Alfred L. Whiteley
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Alfred L. Whiteley, 66, of Hedgesville, died Saturday, June 20, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Aug. 20, 1931, in Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of the late Charles Whiteley and Anna Daly Whiteley.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Stewart Whiteley; three daughters, Marguerite Whiteley of Arizona, and Patricia Whiteley and Rosemary Lynch, both of Virginia; two sons, Alfred Whiteley of Arizona and Terry Whiteley of Virginia; a stepdaughter, Donna M. Autrey of Martinsburg, W.Va.; four stepsons, Frederick C. Nimphius of Florida, John T. Nimphius and Kenneth G. Nimphius, both of Martinsburg, and Thomas J. Nimphius of New York; and many grandchildren.
Graveside prayers will be said Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Johnsontown Church of the Brethren cemetery, W.Va. 9, Cherry Run, W.Va., with military services conducted by Newton D. Baker Post 896, VFW, and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.
The family will receive friends at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg today from 7 to 9 p.m.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Alfred L. Whiteley, 76, of Hedgesville, who died Saturday, June 20, 1998, was born Aug. 20, 1921.
Jeannette K. Finniff
WINCHESTER, Va. - Jeannette Katherine Finniff, 68, of 561 Deercreek Road, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center.
Born July 13, 1929, in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of Brucie Bennett Fogle.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin L. Finniff, whom she married in 1945; two daughters, Linda Kay Campton Main of California, and Sharon Diane Nester of North Carolina; one son, Gary Melvin Finniff of Winchester; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.

Arthur R. White
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Arthur Roland White, 90, a resident of Valley View Nursing Home, and formerly of Hancock, died Monday, June 22, 1998, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs.
Born July 4, 1907, in Masontown, Pa., he was the son of the late Winfield Scott and Lettia B. Smith White.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Estella Carr White, in 1979.
He was a graduate of Hancock High School and attended University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
During World War II, he was an inspector at Fairchild Industries, Hagerstown.
He was a professional photographer and owned and operated Whites Variety Store in Hancock.
He was a member of First Christian Church, Hagerstown.
He was Civil Defense director for Hancock and a former deputy state fire marshal. He was the oldest surviving past master of James W. Bowers Lodge 173 AF&AM and was secretary for more than 20 years. He was the last charter member of Hancock Volunteer Fire Co.
He is survived by one daughter, Marion E. Golden of Hancock; two sons, Warren Lynn White of Mercersburg, Pa., and Roland Scott White of Ontario, Canada; three grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Warren White.
Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Peggy W. Bell, 59, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, June 23, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born April 16, 1939, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Dr. John C. and Nellie Gano Wolf.
She was a 1957 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Bell Jr.; one daughter, Lisa Bell Farmer of Martinsburg; one son, Thomas E. Bell III of Woodbine, Ga.; three sisters, Virginia Porterfield and Sue Henry, both of Martinsburg, and Jean Phelps of California; two brothers, Robert Wolf and George Wolf, both of Martinsburg; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Wolf and J. Curtis Wolf.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The Rev. Curtis T. Lowry will officiate.

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Warren Holland Hardy, 32, of Harpers Ferry, died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at his home.
Born June 14, 1966, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of Elmer Holland Hardy and Linda W. Jenkins Carlisle of Harpers Ferry.
He was employed by Rotorex.
He was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Sharon L. Hardy; two sons, Andrew Holland Hardy and William Frank Painter; one sister, Dianna Lynn Hardy of Harpers Ferry; two brothers, Michael Todd Hardy and Elmer Holland Hardy Jr., both of Harpers Ferry; and one stepbrother, Chaz Gustines of Harpers Ferry.
He was preceded in death by two children, Warren Andrew Hardy and Paula Lynn Hardy.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, W.Va. The Rev. B.G. Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town, W.Va.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Lillian M. Hlubb, 86, of Hedgesville, died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at her home.
Born Sept. 24, 1911, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Petr.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hlubb.
She was a member of St. Ursula Catholic Church, Baltimore.
She is survived by one son, LeRoy Hlubb, of Hedgesville, with whom she lived; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by one son, Walter Hlubb Jr.; three sisters; and two brothers.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Parkwood cemetery, Baltimore.
