BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Ralph William Stotler, 79, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, May 18, 1998, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Nov. 8, 1918, in Oakland, W.Va., he was the son of the late William and Effie Mae Bohrer Stotler.
He attended the Oakland School.
He retired in 1988 from the maintenance department of Cacapon State Park, Berkeley Springs.
He attended the Berkeley Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Leatha Geneva Stotler; three daughters, Marie Stotler Shoemaker, Ruth Stotler Daniels and Bernadine Stotler-Hobday, all of Berkeley Springs; three sons, Wilson Stotler, Raymond Stotler and Richard Stotler, all of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Ruby Howe and Margie Unger, both of Berkeley Springs; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lester Stotler, Noah Stotler and Rumsey Stotler.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Brian D. Jones and Paster Robert Ardinger will officiate. Interment will be in Oakland United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 2 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Floyd E. Otto
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Floyd Elwood "Woodie" Otto, 58, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Va.
Born Jan. 5, 1940, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles F. and Thelma Strine Otto Bennett.
He was an aircraft worker, having worked for Lockheed, Fairchild, Roher and Rockwell Aircraft.
He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Ware Otto; one daughter, Ronda Michele Otto DeRidder of Inwood, W.Va.; one sister, Patricia M. Kackley of Martinsburg; three brothers, Charles J. Otto of Hedgesville, W.Va., Gary Thomas Otto of Baltimore and Ronnie Lee Otto of Martinsburg; one granddaughter; and a close friend, Tom McGowan of Martinsburg.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. James L. Richard will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

Orville H. Stanley
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Orville H. Stanley, 79, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born Feb. 13, 1919, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ima Eddy and stepfather, Thomas Eddy.
He was a 1939 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He worked for Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown for 32 years and for Howard Aircraft, Martinsburg.
He served during World War II with the 82nd Airborne and with the Headquarters and Training Group, Armed Forces School, at Fort Knox, Ky.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 64 years and was a member and past secretary of the Trinity United Methodist Men's Class.
He was a member of Berkeley Post 14, American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Ridings Stanley, whom he married Sept. 16, 1942; one daughter, Peggy Ann Lea of Greensboro, Ga.; one granddaughter, Stephanie Lea; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Prentis Stanley.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. G. Edward Grove will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Berkeley Post 14, American Legion and Newton D. Baker Post 896, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will conduct a military graveside service.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Francis Ray Shrewsbury, 63, of Hedgesville, died Tuesday, May 19, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Oct. 21, 1934, in Wyoming County, W.Va., he was the son of the late George E. and Mary E. Mills Shrewsbury.
He was a retired longshoreman.
He attended Hedgesville Assembly of God, Hedgesville, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Cora McGrady Shrewsbury at home; one son, Frank Shrewsbury of Hedgesville; five sisters, Latha Cooper and Rubie Burcham of Lynchburg, Va., Thelma Halsey of Bluefield, W.Va., Pauline Archie of Spanishburg, W.Va., and Ruth Fox of Sophia, W.Va.; and four brothers, Clyde Shrewsbury of Fishersville, Va., Roy Shrewsbury of Madison, Ohio, Glen Shrewsbury of Lynchburg and Albert Shrewsbury of Mullens, W.Va.

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. - Estella Louise Gibbs, 42, of 105 S. Cardinal St., died Friday, May 15, 1998, at her home.
Born June 27, 1955, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Clyde F. Phillips of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and the late Doris L. Kibler Phillips.
She was employed as a clerk.
She is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Boshears of Mountain Home; one sister, Barbara Cirigliano of Pious Ridge, W.Va.; two nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Vernon David Hamby.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs. Pastor Malcolm Cadd will officiate. Burial will be in Great Cacapon cemetery.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A graveside service for Alan M. Hunter Sr., 70, of Charles Town, who died Friday, May 15, 1998, at his home, will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rosedale cemetery. The Rev. Larry Maitlin will officiate.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 16, 1998, at 4 p.m. at Charles Town Baptist Church. Dr. Wyman Hall officiated.

Born Dec. 10, 1922, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles and Estelle McAtee Staubs.
He was caretaker at Green Hill cemetery, Martinsburg.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Martinsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Elmas Keller Staubs; one son, Robert Craig Staubs of Martinsburg; one daughter, Scarlet L. Fellers of Martinsburg; two sisters, Charlotte Demory of Charles Town and Sandra Lee Hayes of Fincastle, Va.; three brothers, Edward Staubs of Dargan, Md., Franklin Staubs of Marlowe, W.Va., and Paul Staubs of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mae Sims and Margaret Demory; and three brothers, William Staubs, Donald Staubs and Fred Staubs.

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Clyde L. Morris, 57, of Falling Waters, died Wednesday, May 20, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born March 23, 1941, in Virginia, he was the son of the late Clyde J. and Audrey Ramey Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Wetzel Morris; one daughter, Joann Calhoun of Martinsburg, W.Va.; three sons, Richard Morris of Reisterstown, Md., Clyde L. Morris Jr. of Falling Waters and Michael Wetzel of Martinsburg; four sisters, Linda Caplinger of Martinsburg, Tressa Barnhart of Westminster, Md., Darlene Hartly of Falling Waters and Nancy Adams of Waynesboro, Pa.; four brothers, Ralph M. Morris and Ernest B. Morris, both of Falling Waters, Robert R. Morris and Donald R. Morris, both of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Morris.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Calvin Lee Collis, 64, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, May 18, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles and Mary Catherine Collis.
He was a farmer, a diesel mechanic, and retired from D.M. Bowman in Williamsport in 1993.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a member of the Ruritan Club, Bedington, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Snyder Collis; four daughters, Florence Shirley, Darlene Brannon of Halltown, W.Va., Norma Jean Bond of Walkersville, Md., and Virginia Haill of Mount Airy, Md.; one son, Calvin Lee Collis II of Mount Airy; three stepchildren, Lesia Norwood of Stafford, Md., Gary Wayne Stotler of Union Bridge, Md., and Walter Myers of Arden, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles Banks Collis of Martinsburg and Floyd Collis of Hagerstown; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Conny Collis; and three brothers, David Collis, Ammon Collis and Sherman Collis.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs. Pastor John Esaias will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel cemetery, Berkeley Springs.

Born March 25, 1928, in Boiling Springs, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Yager Baker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell J. Weigle.
She retired from Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
She attended Allensville Church of the Brethren.
She was a member of Chapter 738, Women of the Moose, and Williamsport Red Men's Lodge.
She is survived by one son, John Russell Weigle Sr. of Hedgesville; one daughter, Joan L. Poole of Hedgesville; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Charles Green will officiate. Burial will be in Tomahawk cemetery.
