MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Doris Victoria Leonard, 67, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at her home.
Born July 25, 1930, in Bakerton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James Edward Franklin Grimm and Clemma Mae Weaver Grimm.
She retired from Corning Glass Works.
She is survived by one daughter, Victoria Henry Jones of Martinsburg; two sons, Thomas Coleman of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Ronald Coleman of Inwood, W.Va.; three sisters, Audrey Starliper of Martinsburg, Eileen Twentey of Hedgesville and Connie Powell of Walkersville, Md.; two brothers, James Grimm of Charles Town, W.Va., and Warren Grimm of Brookhaven, Miss.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Coleman and Dennis Henry.
Services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Louise Barrett will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Carl M. Brill
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Carl Madison "Bunk" Brill, 81, of Charles Town, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Oct. 9, 1916, in Strasburg, Va., he was the son of the late Carl Smith and Frenchie Feller Brill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Rosalyn Rush Brill, in 1984.
He had been a sales representative in real estate and the moving and storage business.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and received the Good Conduct Medal and a Service Stripe.
He was a member of Zion Episcopal Church in Charles Town and a former member of the church vestry.
He was a member of Jackson-Parks American Legion Post 71 and Malta Masonic Lodge 80, both in Charles Town.
He is survived by a son, Stephen F. Brill of Shepherdstown; a stepdaughter, Barbara K. Van Tol of Shepherdstown; a stepson, Lawrence E. Kline Jr. of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Norma Sullivan of Stafford, Va.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Mitchell.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at Zion Episcopal Church, Charles Town. The Rev. John Bower will officiate. Burial will be private.
There will be no visitation.

Joseph C. Hasselman
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Joseph Charles Hasselman, 77, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born Aug. 17, 1920, in Peterson, N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Jennie Orris Hasselman.
He retired from Grumm Aerospace in New York.
He served with the U.S. Air Force as an aviation cadet.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Martinsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Pees Hasselman; two sons, Don J. Hasselman of Martinsburg and Roy D. Hasselman of Manchester, N.H.; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. The Rev. James D. Riley Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Barbara Grey Giddings, 73, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at City Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett N. Giddings.
She was an Episcopalian.
She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Futch of Laurel, Md., Beverly Beavers of Virginia Beach, Va., and Tammy Walker of Martinsburg; three sons, Billy Giddings of Clearwater, Fla., Ronald Giddings of Waldorf, Md., and Kirk Giddings of Silver Spring, Md.; 27 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The Rev. Margaret Raven will officiate.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Sabrina Barragan, infant daughter of Jorge and Tesanna Trapp Barragan of Martinsburg, died Monday, May 4, 1998, at University of Maryland Hospital, Baltimore.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Tristan Ceasar Barragan; maternal grandparents, John and Sharon Trapp of Martinsburg; paternal grandparents, Benigno and Mercedes Barragan of Mexico; great-grandparents, Thomas E. Smith of Cumberland, Md., and Norma Leidy of Galien, Mich.; and aunts and uncles.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The Rev. John D. Yost will officiate.

William Blank
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - William Blank, 91, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born Aug. 12, 1906, in Conshohocken, Pa., he was the son of the late Paul and Mary Davis Blank.
He was a member of First Brethren Church in Hagerstown.
He was a semiprofessional baseball player and an avid bowler and sportsman.
He was a member of VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Johnson of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Chiquita A. Roberts of Winchester, Va.; five sons, Rabb A. Roberts of Kensington, Md., Carl C. Roberts of Silver Spring, Md., Eric B. Roberts and Anthony R. Roberts, both of Winchester, and Andrew C. Roberts of Charlotte, N.C.; 24 grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Arie D. Tobin and Valerie Roberts; and two brothers, William Roberts and Eddie Roberts.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Gilbert Max and the Rev. Kevin Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery with military graveside services conducted by Newton D. Baker Post 896 VFW and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.
A wake will be held Sunday at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
The family will gather at 911 Maryland Ave. at noon prior to the service on Monday.

Nick R. Albanese
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Nick Richard Albanese, 69, of Berkeley Springs, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.
Born Dec. 2, 1928, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Nichola and Rosie Lee Keller Albanese.
He attended Berkeley Springs High School.
He retired in 1987 as a screen tower operator with U.S. Silica in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army from Dec. 14, 1950 to Sept. 14, 1952.
He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Berkeley Springs.
He also was a member of AARP, Alderson-Dawson American Legion Post 60, Risinger-Stotler V.F.W. Post 4019, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1483 and Morgan County Saddle Club, all in Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Martha Clem Albanese; one son, Mark Richard Clem of Warrenton, Va.; three sisters, Marie E. Albanese of Arlington, Va., Virginia Luttrell of Winchester, Va., and Delores Reed of Clear Spring; one brother, Fred Albanese of Galion, Ohio; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Albanese and Frank Albanese.
Funeral liturgy will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 116 S. Washington St., Berkeley Springs, W.Va. John W. Locke, deacon, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway cemetery in Berkeley Springs, with military graveside honors conducted by Tri-State Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, today and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open today and Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the convenience of friends.
John T. Gregory III
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - John Thomas Gregory III, 51, of Martinsburg, died Friday, May 8, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born June 13, 1946, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of Judy Vanorsdale Gregory Livengood, and the late John Thomas Gregory Sr.
He was self-employed.
He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Patricia Toup Gregory; one daughter, Tina Wennerberg of Martinsburg; one son, John Thomas Gregory IV of Hagerstown; three sisters, Suzie Monn of Martinsburg, Cindy Fairol of Maryland and Linda Johnson of Florida; two brothers, Danny Gregory and Rick Gregory, both of Martinsburg; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Kay Bowen.
Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Margaret Raven will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
