MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Elizabeth DeBaugh, 83, of Route 3, died Wednesday, April 22, 1998, at her home.
Born March 3, 1915, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Blaine Brown and Rosa L. Kibler Brown.
Her husband, John Folk DeBaugh, preceded her in death.
She was a 1933 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was the first West Virginia president of Soil Conservation, Ladies Auxiliary and north east area president.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly D. Ridenour of Everett, Pa.; three sons, James G. DeBaugh, John L. DeBaugh and Stuart B. DeBaugh, all of Martinsburg; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Brown Keyton.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg.
The Rev. Robert S. Hill Jr. will officiate.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Rita Marie Betz, 76, of Charles Town, died there Wednesday, April 22, 1998.
Born Sept. 26, 1921, in Pineville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William and Lula Mae Hendrickson Baker.
She retired as an electrical inspector for the AIL Co. in Long Island, N.Y.
She was a Methodist.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Harry Charles Betz; a stepson, Carl Betz of Farmingville, N.Y.; a sister, Marie Bussone of Indianapolis; three brothers, Junior Sutton and Walter Sutton, both of Indianapolis, and Martin Sutton of Louisville, Ky.; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - C.J. "Bucky" Everitts, 71, of Martinsburg, died Friday, April 24, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born Nov. 22, 1926, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Charles W. and Grace Bell Myers Everitts.
He owned and operated Everitts Masonry.
He was a member of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church.
He also was a member of AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Florence L. Love Everitts; a daughter, Cheryl Everitts Ross of Martinsburg; two sons, William E. Everitts of Las Vegas, and Charles E. Everitts of Martinsburg; two sisters, Betty Ann Miller of Jones Spring, W.Va., and Stella Sallee of Harrisonville, Mo.; two brothers, Robert L. Everitts and Ray Allen Everitts, both of Martinsburg; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Guesford and Rosalie Smith.
Services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.
The Revs. Robert C. Schoof and Harold O. Snyder will officiate.
Burial will be in Falling Waters Presbyterian cemetery, Spring Mills, W.Va.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Clarence Henry Burnett Jr., 83, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at his home.
Born March 23, 1915, in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late Clarence H. Sr. and Sadie Pittsnogle Burnett.
He was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School, Shepherdstown, W.Va.
He was employed at Fairchild Aircraft for 15 years.
He was the owner of Appleland Antiques.
He and his wife worked as counselors at Maryland School for the Blind.
He was a member of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ, Kearneysville, W.Va.
He was a member of Elks Branch Lodge 95 and AF&AM Masonic Lodge of Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Chapman Burnett; one daughter, Nancy Burnett Pillar of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; one sister, Corabelle Burnett Diggs of Baltimore; one stepgranddaughter; one stepgrandson; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one sister, Arra Burnett Morgan.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ.
The Rev. Jeff Shenaberger will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, Rosedale cemetery Road, Martinsburg.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Frederick Henry Barlat, 64, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born Aug. 26, 1933, in Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late William Barlat and Hattie Miller Tavner.
He was a 1950 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was owner and operator of Barlat Upholstery.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Korean War.
He was a member of Newton D. Baker Post 896, VFW and Berkeley Post 14, American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Purnell Barlat; one stepdaughter, Libby Wenger Hite of Martinsburg; five stepsons, Max McDonald of California, Steven C. McDonald, David M. McDonald, Sonnie Wenger and Junior Wenger, all of Martinsburg; one sister, Ann Brewster of California; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Brown; and a brother, John Miller.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home 327 W. King St., Martinsburg.
