CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Helen Frances Zombro, 80, of Charles Town, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Jan. 4, 1918, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late John and Laura Willingham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph O. Zombro, in 1971.
She retired after 25 years with Doubleday Co., Inc., Berryville, Va. Prior to that, she was employed with Byrds Orchard, Jefferson County.
She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Robin L. Carey and Ashley E. Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Melissa Carey, Ralph Carey and Rusty Carey.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Laura Jane Baker; one son, Ralph William "Bill" Zombro; three sisters; and two brothers.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg, W.Va.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Eula M. Borror
DORCAS, W.Va. - Eula Mae Borror, 63, of Dorcas, formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va.
Born March 26, 1935, in Petersburg, she was the daughter of Mary Ayers Keplinger of Petersburg and the late Leon Keplinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carley C. Borror, in 1987.
She was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Ginny Ours of Harpers Ferry and Mary G. Borror of Mt. Holly, S.C.; one son, Terrance Borror of Petersburg; four sisters, Linda Crites, Rosalie Bell, Goldie Reel and Virgie Kile, all of Petersburg; two brothers, Jess Keplinger of Columbus, Ga., and Warney Ayers of Alabama; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Junior Borror, on March 28, 1998; and two brothers, Earl Keplinger and Paul Keplinger.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel. Pastor C. D. Coley will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Virginia S. Everhart
HALLTOWN, W.Va. - Virginia Sturgis Everhart, 88, of Halltown, formerly of Kearneysville, W.Va., died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Ranson, W.Va.
Born April 1, 1910, in Snow Hill, Worcester County, Md., she was the daughter of the late William M. and Lillie Adkins Sturgis.
Her husband, Herbert William Everhart, died in 1968.
In 1979, she retired from the Kearneysville post office, where she served as postmaster for 18 years.
She was a member of Kearneysville Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She was a former member of the Potomac Garden Club, Shepherdstown Woman's Club, Soroptimist Club of Martinsburg and Eastern Star. She was a member of the Jefferson County Historical Society and was an active supporter in Jefferson County Democratic politics.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Koonce of Halltown; two sons, William Sturgis Everhart of Elyria, Ohio, and Herbert J. Everhart of Kearneysville; a granddaughter; a grandson; a great-grandson; and two cousins.
She was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Sturgis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 2, at 10 a.m. at Kearneysville Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Randall Tremba will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery in Charles Town, W.Va.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Gerald W. Stocker Sr.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Gerald W. Stocker Sr., 64, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, April 16, 1998, at his home.
Born Dec. 19, 1933, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of Sarah Clendening Fry of Martinsburg and the late Christian Stocker.
He was a 1951 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He retired from DuPont.
He was a charter member of Fellowship Church of the Brethren and a legal trustee.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Grubb Stocker; a daughter, K. Suzanne Stocker of Inwood, W.Va.; a son, Gerald W. Stocker Jr. of Martinsburg; three sisters, Sandra L. Riggleman of Delaware, Cynthia Sencindiver of Inwood, and Sherry Custer of Vanville, W.Va.; two brothers, Daniel R. Fry of Shepherdstown, W.Va., and Christian Stocker of Maryland; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John W. Fry.
Services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Fellowship Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Duane Strickler and the Rev. Carol Strickler will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg today or at the residence, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday.

INWOOD, W.Va. - Esther Elizabeth Cook, 54, of Inwood, died Thursday, April 16, 1998, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.
Born March 7, 1944, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of George Felegi of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and the late Mary Elizabeth Fritts Felegi.
She was a member of Martinsburg Family Worship Center.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Lester Cook; two daughters, Lisa Ann Cook and Tammy Sue Cook, both of Inwood; two sons, Kevin Leroy Cook of Inwood and Jeffrey Allen Cook of Cherry Run, W.Va.; two sisters, Mary Louise Fritts of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Rebecca Johnson of Tuscawilla Hills, W.Va.; four brothers, Jerry Fritts of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Gary Fritts and Charles Fritts, both of Middleway, W.Va., and James Fritts of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Martinsburg Family Worship Center. The Rev. Claude D. Nelson will officiate. Burial will be private.

Raymond G. Jones
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Raymond Glen Jones, 78, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at his home.
Born Feb. 14, 1920, in Mount Jackson, Va., he was the son of the late Virgie Jones.
He was a retired truck driver for the former Harris Motor Express.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Boozer Jones; two daughters, Shirley Hoover of Winchester, Va., and Louise Cline of Parrish, Fla.; two sons, Charles Jones of Kearneysville, W.Va., and Garry Jones of Martinsburg; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg. The Rev. Devin B. Ward will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Geraldine Butler Woods, 77, of Route 4, and formerly of Marked Tree, Ark., and Thayer, Mo., died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va. She had been a resident of Heartland of Martinsburg.
Born March 12, 1921, in Harrisburg, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Byron Butler and Cecil Valentine Butler.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - C. Eston Miller, 74, of Martinsburg, died Friday, April 17, 1998, at his home.
Born July 6, 1923, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Clarence S. Miller and Olive Mae Brannon Miller.
He owned and operated Rock Hill Farm. He retired from Berkeley County School System as a school bus driver.
He was a member of Winchester Avenue Christian Church for more than 60 years.
He was active in various organizations such as West Virginia Farm Bureau, since 1935; West Virginia Cattlemen's Association, since 1943; Martinsburg Lodge 120 Loyal Order of Moose, since 1977; U.C.T., since 1959; J.O.U.A.M. Council 137 for 35 years; Nature Conservancy, West Virginia Chapter; National Arbor Day Foundation; National Parks and Conservancy; AARP; West Virginia Association of Retired School Employees; Wilderness Society; American Farmland Trust; National Audubon Society; World Wildlife Foundation; and National Wildlife Federation.
He is survived by one sister, Reva M. Hoffman of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles I. Miller and Bruce E. Miller, both of Martinsburg; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Winchester Avenue Christian Church. The Rev. Douglas M. Hollida will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Kenneth Eldred Harding, 92, of Shepherdstown, died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born March 24, 1906, in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was the son of the late Franklin and Iona Harding.
He retired as an industrial electrician for Northrop Aircraft Co. in California, after many years.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He was a member of Oak Forrest Masonic Lodge 832 A.F.&A.M. in Oak Forrest, Ill.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Helen Maxwell Harding; one son, Warren Harding of Oregon; one niece; and a great-niece and great-nephew.
