MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Peter Marshall Matson Sr., 59, of Martinsburg, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Feb. 27, 1939, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Frederick Matson.
He graduated from Martinsburg High School.
He served with the U.S. Navy; and the Air National Guard.
He retired from Eastern Panhandle Training Center in Martinsburg.
He was a member of Blairton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 36 years, Shirley Way Matson at home; two daughters, Frances Hodge and Tammy Dusing, both of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; one son, Peter Marshall Matson Jr. at home; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. John R. Yost will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, Shepherdstown, W.Va., with military graveside services conducted by Newton D. Baker Post 896 VFW; and Berkeley Post 14, American Legion.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Russell W. Hose Jr.
KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Russell William "Buckshot" Hose Jr., 41, of Kearneysville, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Dec. 26, 1956, in Middleburg, Va., he was the son of the late Russell William Hose Sr. and Loretta Beatrice McDonald Hose.
He was employed as an equipment operator by Jefferson Asphalt Co. of Charles Town, W.Va.
He is survived by one son, David Hose of Kearneysville; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Mongold of Kearneysville; one stepson, Dawson Mongold of Kearneysville; one sister, Wanda Cook of Rio, W.Va.; his fiance, Mary Mongold of Kearneysville; and three nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at McKee Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta, W.Va. Pastor Charles Coley will officiate. Burial will be in Baldwin cemetery, Moorefield, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Scott M. Thornton
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Scott M. Thornton, 31, of 270 McCullough St., and formerly of Waynesboro, Pa., died in Morgantown of natural causes.
Born March 27, 1966, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Charles and Linda Bonebrake Thornton of Waynesboro. He lived his early life in Waynesboro.
He was a 1984 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School, where he was a member of the Indian Band and golf team.
He was active in Boy Scout Troop 19 of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow.
He was a senior at West Virginia University in Morgantown, majoring in political science. He attended George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
He had been a sports reporter for the Record Herald, Waynesboro. He also had been employed by the Frick Co., Waynesboro, and most recently Turning Point of Washington County.
He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He played guitar in the band, NV.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Anne Thornton of Waynesboro; and maternal grandparents, Aldus and Bettie Tomlinson Bonebrake of Waynesboro.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Henry and Lucile Shelton Thornton.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Green Hill cemetery, Waynesboro.

William A. Waggaman
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - William A. Waggaman, 77, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at his home.
Born Oct. 8, 1920, in Atlantic City, N.J., he was the son of the late Frank Norman and Gertrude Ryan Waggaman.
He was a sales and merchandise executive.
He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Army.
He was captain and manager of the Columbia League, Washington Post Sandlot Baseball Association Junior Champions, 1936.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Waggaman; two sons, William Waggaman of Woodbridge, Va., and Keith Waggaman of Palm Bay, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 216 S. Duke, Shepherdstown, W.Va. The Rev. Matthew T. Rowgh will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Memorial Park, Northfield, N.J., at a later date.

BAKER HEIGHTS, W.Va. - Daniel Wayne Youtz, 38, of Baker Heights, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at his home.
Born June 17, 1959, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of Charles M. Youtz of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Louise Dailey Gosnell and James C. Gosnell of Baker Heights.
He was a 1977 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He was employed as a driver by Wonder Bread and Hostess.
He was a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church, Martinsburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancee, Debra Hott, and her three children, Shane, Sean and Stefan; a sister, Tina Louise Hess of Gerrardstown, W.Va.; a niece and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles William "Bill" Youtz.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Katherine M. Keller, 76, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born June 30, 1921, in Berkeley County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura Pearl Turner Domer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Keller Jr.; and her first husband, Woodrow "Babe" Jones.
She is survived by four daughters, Janet Creamer, Peggy Shaffer and Vonnie Price, all of Martinsburg, and Trudy Shutts of Middleway, W.Va.; three sons, Vincent Jones and Dennis Keller, both of Martinsburg, and Kevin Keller of Mount Airy, Md.; a sister, Lib Domer of Martinsburg; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Donald Keller, Larry Jones and William Keller; two sisters, Helen Butts and Dorothy Cole; and three brothers, Charles Domer, Kenneth Domer and Daniel Domer.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - David Kim Hayes, 45, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Dec. 29, 1952, in Martinsburg, he was the son of D. Glenwood and Nancy Weidman Hayes of Martinsburg.
He was employed for 17 years by Nichols Store and later for three years by Hardees.
He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Martinsburg.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rosalie See Hayes; a daughter, Tara Susan Hayes, at home; a sister, Janice Hayes Everhart of Martinsburg; two brothers, Glenn Edward Hayes of Williamsport and Donald Lynn Hayes of Martinsburg; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, High Street, Martinsburg. The Rev. Edward Reckner will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery, Martinsburg.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Curtis Junior Borror, 44, of Kearneysville, died Saturday, March 28, 1998, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born July 18, 1953, in Petersburg, W.Va., he was the son of Eula Keplinger Borror of Petersburg and the late Carley C. Borror.
He was employed as a foreman by Hinkle Construction Co. of Chantilly, Va.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of Moose Lodge in Charles Town, W.Va.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Dawn Borror of Inwood, W.Va., and Heather Lee Borror; a son, Christopher James Borror; two sisters, Mary Gladys Borror of Mount Holly, S.C., and Ginny Ours of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; a brother, Terrence Borror of Petersburg; a niece and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel, 2060 Rosedale Road, Martinsburg. Burial will be private.

Shirley L.C. Vazquez
GREAT CACAPON, W.Va. - Shirley Lee Clark Vazquez, 77, of Great Cacapon, formerly of Oxon Hill, Md., died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Bon Air Home for the Elderly, Stephens City, Va.
Born on Jan. 26, 1921, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Marian Elizabeth Mullens Collins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rafael Vazquez.
She moved to the area in 1996.
She was a retired secretary for the Department of Defense and the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department.
A Methodist, she attended church in Oxon Hill.
She is survived by a son, Ronald E. Clark of Great Cacapon; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Hill and Ronald A. Clark, both of Great Cacapon; a niece and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Calub and Nancy Brauner.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church cemetery, Orleans Crossroads, W.Va. The Rev. Roger E. Burtner will officiate. Family and friends are to assemble at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m.
