SUMMIT POINT, W.Va. - Margaret Joyce "Peggy" Harley, 72, of Summit Point, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born April 21, 1925, in Shenandoah County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Mr. VanHuss and Eva Blanche VanHuss.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Jenkins, in 1974.
She retired from the staff of the Republican Caucus, Virginia.
She was a member of Summit Point United Methodist Church, Summit Point, W.Va., where she was a member of Methodist Women.
She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 1028, Charles Town, W.Va.; Ladies Auxiliary of Jackson-Perks American Legion Post 71, Charles Town; and Summit Point Home Demonstration Club.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Francis M. "Frank" Harley; two daughters, Joyce J. Rudolph of Summit Point and Judith J. Webb of Ranson; one son, David M. Jenkins of Hedgesville, W.Va.; three stepdaughters, Pamela J. Baker and Natalie Harley, both of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Michelle R. Robinson of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two brothers, Donald Kremel of Stephens City, Va., and William "Bill" Kremel of Leesburg, Va.; six grandchildren; five stepgrandchilden; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, John M. Jenkins Jr.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town. The Rev. Glenn Stevens and the Rev. Mary Stevens will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Philip M. Jackson
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Philip "Phil" Myers Jackson, 64, of Charles Town, died Monday, Nov. 17, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Feb. 23, 1933, in Ranson, he was the son of the late William F. and Nora Elizabeth Owens Jackson.
He retired as a mechanic from Thomas Kern Machine Shop, Ranson.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a member of Jackson-Perks American Legion Post 71, Charles Town.
He is survived by one daughter, Lynea Wingate of Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Julia Martin, Agnes Anderson, and Edna Gifft, all of Ranson; one brother, William "Bill" F. Jackson of Charles Town; and companion, Mary Redman of Charles Town.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town. The Rev. Richard Neal will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Yvonne Hogan
INWOOD, W.Va. - Yvonne "Bonnie" Hogan, 59, of Route 2, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Feb. 27, 1938, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Marjorie Moreland Grant of Martinsburg, W.Va., and the late Robert E. Grant.
She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School.
She was a retired secretary with the U.S. government in the Federal Mines Safety Department.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sisters, Peggy Durst of Cumberland, Md., and Linda Marceron of Edenton, N.C.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Camp Hill cemetery, Paw Paw, W.Va.

Charles L. Grant
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Charles L. "Buck" Grant, 64, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born July 21, 1933, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lee S. and Mildred Pitzer Grant.
He was a lifelong dairy farmer, a member of Farmers Bureau of West Virginia, and DHIA Associates of the Eastern Panhandle.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by two sisters, Joan Raney of Inwood, W.Va., and Jean Murphy of Martinsburg; one brother, George O. "Jack" Grant of Martinsburg; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. The Rev. Dan Dugan will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Paul M. Biller
HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Paul M. Biller, 58, of Shannondale, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born June 8, 1939, in Bolivar, W.Va., he was the son of the late Helen Virginia Biller Katzaman.
He was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
He was employed by Pan Tran at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. He previously had more than 20 years of service with the U.S. government at Bluemont Station, Va., and at the Harpers Ferry Job Corps center. He was co-owner of Biller-Evans Trophy Co., Charles Town, W.Va.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a former member and past president of Citizens Fire Co., Charles Town; former member of Harpers Ferry Fire Co., Harpers Ferry; member and past president of Shannondale Ltd., Harpers Ferry; and member of Charles Town Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 948, Charles Town.
He is survived by a close friend and companion, Peggy Lou Plymale of Bakerton, W.Va.; one daughter, Deborah L. Helmstetler of Winchester, Va.; one brother, Gary G. Katzaman of Salisbury, Md.; one granddaughter; and his ex-wife, Peggy Biller of Winchester.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Norma J. Biller.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. James Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Eugene Paul Hoelscher, 60, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Sept. 29, 1937, in Cincinnati, he was the son of the late Albert and Irene Leslie Hoelscher.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Wilson Hoelscher; one sister, Joyce Ruleman of Hyattsville, Md.; and one brother, Donald Hoelscher of California.
He was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Hoelscher.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Harold O. Snyder will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill cemetery.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Harry John Adams, 83, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at City Hospital.
Born July 9, 1914, in Detroit, Mich., he was the son of the late Herbert and Mabel Schafer Adams.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Couillard Adams; one daughter, Elizabeth A. Adams of Sterling, Va.; two sons, John J. Adams of Vienna, Va., and David A. Adams of Zimmerman, Minn.; one sister, Bette A. Berry of Palm Beach, Fla.; and three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert E. Adams Jr.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Dewitt Q. Lee Jr., 74, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at VA Medical Center, Washington, D.C.
Born April 13, 1923, in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Dewitt Q. and Lena Fox Lee Sr.
He is survived by one daughter, Angela Lee of Philadelphia, Pa.; two sisters, Marjorie Ward of Baltimore and June Arrington of Upper Marlboro, Md.; two brothers, Paul Lee of Africa and Calvin Lee of the Philippines; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Lee.
Funeral services will be Monday at 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Johnny Green will officiate.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Arbutus Memorial Park cemetery, Arbutus, Md.
The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
