He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Mentzer of Mount Holly Springs; two sons, Kenneth Earl Rank of Carlisle, Pa., and Anthony L. Rank of Gerrardstown; one stepdaughter, Judy Yost of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; two stepsons, Terry N. Voorhees and Dennis M. Voorhees, both of Gerrardstown; three sisters, Emeline Thompson of Palm Harbor, Fla., Imogene Barbour of Fayetteville, Pa., and Shirley Fenton of Carlisle; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl G. Rank Jr.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arden, W.Va. The Rev. John D. Yost will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran cemetery.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Judith K. Kilmer, 59, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at her home.
Born Oct. 9, 1938, in Fort Wayne, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Dr. John H. and Dorothy Dammeier Kilmer.
She attended Virginia Intermont College; Potomac State College; and Shepherd College.
She was formerly employed as a medical secretary; and also worked for National Fisheries Research Center.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
She was a member of National Registry of Medical Secretaries; Junior Civic League; and Young Republicans.
She is survived by three sisters, Patricia K. Anderson of Tucson, Ariz., and Fredrica K. Meitzen and Katherine K. Powell, both of Morgantown, W.Va.; and two brothers, John H. Kilmer Jr. and Wade C. Kilmer, both of Martinsburg.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. The Rev. James D. Riley Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.

GERRARDSTOWN, W.Va. - LaVerne "Bud" L. Rank, 76, of Gerrardstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at his home.
Born Jan. 15, 1921, in Mount Holly Springs, Pa., he was the son of the late Earl G. and Mary Sheaffer Rank Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Orr Rank.
A retired truck driver, he previously was employed by C.H. Musselman Co. and Time D.C.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Milton Cleaver Elliott, 85, of Shepherdstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown.
Born Oct. 21, 1912, in Jerseyville, Ill., he was the son of the late Milton Cleaver and Mariah Jane Smith Elliott Sr.
He was retired from Boeing Aircraft Company.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Naomi Martin Elliott; one son, Michael C. Elliott of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; one sister, Mary Lou Sneegas of Olthe, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Swecker and Rena McGee.
Memorial services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, 114 N. Mildred St., Ranson. The Rev. Russell W. Wright will officiate.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Floyd M. "Mac" McDowell, 87, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg
Born May 1, 1910, in Midway, Pa., he was the son of the late William W. McDowell and Mae J. Riffle.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ann Hough McDowell.
He retired from Potomac Edison Company; and was formerly a real estate agent with Calvin Bayer Realty.
He was a member of United Church of Christ, Christ Reformed Church, and Gluck Men's Sunday School Class, and was a deacon.
He was a member of Pikeside Lions Club; and Martinsburg BPO Elks Lodge 778.
He is survived by one daughter, Jan A. McDowell; one stepdaughter, Cynthia Mong of Charleston, W.Va.; and two stepsons, Frank Edward Johnson and Jerry McDowell, both of Martinsburg.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Christ Reformed Church. Dr. Thomas E. Hartshorn will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Ashlee Nicole Hargis, infant daughter of Robert Hargis of Woodstock, Va., and Penny Delawder of Harpers Ferry, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by maternal grandparents, Raymond and Shirley Delawder Jr. of Harpers Ferry; paternal grandparents, Bill and Doris Hargis of Edinburg, Va.; and great-grandparents, Raymond and Mabel Delawder Sr. and Lillie Mae Longerbeam, all of Harpers Ferry.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg. Aaron Turner will officiate.

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - John Henry Willis, 102, of Charles Town, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at Shenandoah Nursing Home, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Aug. 31, 1895, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John William and Bessie Willis.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Goldie M. Heflin Willis, in 1980.
He was a commercial painter and paper hanger for more than 70 years in Charles Town.
He was a member of Zion Episcopal Church, Charles Town, and was a member of the church choir for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Kerns Willis, a resident of Shenandoah Nursing Home; four daughters, Katherine Edwards, Nancy Bush, Mildred Brady and Evelyn Dennison, all of Charles Town; one son, Ronald M. Willis of Charles Town; one stepson, Jerry Writt of Florida; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Herman Willis and John C. Willis; and one half-sister.
Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Episcopal Church, Charles Town. The Rev. John Bower will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery, Charles Town.
There will be no visitation.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Robert W. "Bob" Scrivener, 74, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1997, at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born Aug. 4, 1923, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Russell J. Scrivener and Nina Braithwaite Scrivener.
He was a 1941 graduate of Martinsburg High School.
He played baseball locally for semi-professional teams and later for a minor league team in Shreveport, La.
He was a retired U.S. Postal employee, and a former sports editor for the Martinsburg Journal.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the destroyer U.S.S. Trumpeter.
He was a member of Martinsburg Lodge 120, Loyal Order of Moose; Berkeley Post 14 American Legion; and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma Butts Scrivener; one sister, Waunita Bartles of Martinsburg; one brother, Russell J. Scrivener Jr. of Martinsburg; and one aunt.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Christopher D. Fowler and the Rev. Paul C. Stanley will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
