SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Marshall Ronemus "Bobby" Jones, 65, of Shepherdstown, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born July 16, 1932, in Duffields, W.Va., he was the son of Robert Luther Jones of Shepherdstown and the late Virginia L. Smallwood Jones.
He retired in 1995 from Handy and Harman Co., Martinsburg, W.Va., after 19 years.
He was a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church, Shenandoah Junction, W.Va., where he had 58 years of perfect attendance in the church Sunday school.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sylvia I. Housden Jones; his stepmother, Eva L. Jones of Shepherdstown; two stepdaughters, Brenda K. Harder of Martinsburg and Rebecca J. Barthlow of Bristol, Va.; one stepson, Raymond E. Harrison Jr. of Martinsburg; 12 stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Ranson. The Rev. Lee Robinson, the Rev. William Reed and the Rev. Donna Herritt will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town, W.Va.

Catherine P. Kilmer
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Catherine Porturica Kilmer, 79, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at City Hospital, Martinsburg.
Born Nov. 20, 1918, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Theresa Benkovic Porturica.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.M. "Mike" Kilmer.
She was a graduate of West Virginia School of Beauty Culture. She operated Catherine's Beauty Salon. Later, she attended James Rumsey Technical Institute.
She retired from the IRS Center near Martinsburg.
She was a life member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Martinsburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy J. Smith of Martinsburg; one sister, Barbara "Bud" Butts of Martinsburg; one granddaughter, Sonja G. Coyle of Martinsburg; one grandson, Thomas W. Grove of Martinsburg; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Valza Porturica; an infant brother, Michael Porturica; two sisters, Anna Usak and Mary Mercurio; and a cousin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Rev. John V. DiBacco Jr. will be celebrant. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Kenyah M. Robinson
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Kenyah Mardell Robinson, 21, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997.
Born Jan. 16, 1976, in Berkeley County, he was the son of Ruby Robinson Dixson of Martinsburg.
He was self-employed as a carpet cleaner.
He was of Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Christopher Andrew Robinson of Hagerstown; three sisters, Monica Renee Dixson of Martinsburg, Ashley Lucille Dixson of Hagerstown, and Tiara Nicole Robinson of Falling Waters, W.Va.; three brothers, Leonard Henry Allen Dixson Jr. and Christopher Devonte Robinson, both of Hagerstown, and Levi Holman V of Falling Waters; aunts and uncles; one niece; one nephew; Kiara Phylips, of Hagerstown, whom he helped to raise; and a close friend, Danita Gladden.
Services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg. Elder Tyrone Lockett will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.

Carl S. Johnson
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Carl Seleathe Johnson, 98, of Fort Lauderdale, and formerly of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale.
Born July 29, 1899, in Morgan County, W.Va., he was the son of the late George William and Sarah C. Lutman Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Eleanor B. Weber Johnson, in 1994.
He operated the Johnson farm in Berkeley Springs until 1936; and was owner and operator of Duckwall-Johnson Tomato Cannery, Morgan County.
He later owned and operated C.S. Johnson Lumber Co. in Berkeley Springs until his retirement in 1962.
He was a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church.
He was a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics Council 117, Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Swisher, a missionary in Santiago, Chile; two grandchildren, Stephen E. Rice of Trumbull, Conn., and Lucinda J. Anderson of Fort Lauderdale; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Eleanor Jean Johnson; one son, Azro Hudson "Hud" Johnson; one sister, Margaret Ruppenthal; and one brother, James H. Johnson.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs.
The Rev. William D. Leonard will officiate. Entombment will be in Greenway cemetery Mausoleum, Berkeley Springs.
The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Thomas F. Shriver Jr., 81, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs.
Born March 5, 1916, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of the late Thomas F. and Vallie Hovermale Shriver.
He had been employed as a brakeman with B&O Railroad, Chessie System.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school.
He was a member of Junior Order of United American Mechanics Council 117.
He is survived by his wife, Freeda Zimmerman Shriver; three daughters, Kitty D. Hann of McConnellsburg, Pa., Carol Sue Rexroad of Fairfax, Va., and Glendora "Dorie" Kress Diehl of Hancock; one sister, Mary Zeilor of Front Royal, Va.; one brother, Hammond Shriver of Berkeley Springs; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Hennis Fox and the Rev. George Widmyer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenway cemetery.

Born Aug. 22, 1946, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Ernest and Evelyn Brown Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Shae Smith.
He was employed as a brick mason.
He was of the Protestant faith.
He is survived by one sister, Bonnie Lou Busey of Martinsburg; one halfbrother, Brian K. Smith of Jefferson County, W.Va.; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Beverly June White, Donna Faye Murphy and Sandra Lee Smith.

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Woodrow Wilson Domer, 81, of Kearneysville, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at Shenandoah Nursing Home, Ranson, W.Va.
Born Nov. 7, 1916, in Shepherdstown, W.Va., he was the son of the late Francis Marion and Katherine Mahoney Domer.
He retired as an electrician from J.J. Altman Co., Greencastle, Pa.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a member of Red men Club, Williamsport.
He is survived by three sons, Clyde R. Domer of Emmitsburg, Md., Carl Raymond Domer and Woodrow W. Domer, both of Virginia; two granddaughters; three grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by one daughter; three sisters, Peggy Lowery, Alice Domer and Annie Mahoney; and one brother, Claude Domer.
Memorial services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, 310 Fairfax Blvd., Charles Town, W.Va. The Rev. Donna Herritt will officiate. Burial will be private.

Edward E. Hewett
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Edward Ellis Hewett, 66, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at his home.
Born July 26, 1931, in Hanover, Pa., he was the son of the late Ellis Edward and Dorothy Amanda Bishop Hewett.
He is survived by four daughters, Janice Lucille Hewett, Janet Louise Watson and Edna Pearl Hewett, all of Berkeley Springs, and Helen Ann Hewett; three sisters, Opal Wills, Hope Stotler and Ruth Cain, all of Berkeley Springs; one brother, Wayne Hewett of Baltimore; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Hewett; and one brother, George Hewett.
Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 106 S. Mercer St., Berkeley Springs. The Rev. Hennis Fox and the Rev. Rodney Truax will officiate. Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads cemetery.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
