Arnold Ray Lunceford
Arnold Ray Lunceford, 65, of Flatwoods, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord January 8, 2006, following a long illness, while a patient at CAMC, Memorial Division, Charleston, West Virginia.
He was born May 7, 1940 in Webster County, West Virginia the son of Francis Lunceford of Replete and the late Victor Lunceford.
Also preceding him in death was one brother Thomas Lunceford and one sister Patricia Lunceford.
He was a former employee of Purity Baking Company, Storck/Sunbeam Baking Company, JD Hinkle and Sons of Buckhannon and Sun Rise Trucking.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Florence Lunceford of Flatwoods; one son Arnold Kevin Lunceford & wife Patti of Flatwoods; four daughters Sherlia Harris & husband Bobby of Flatwoods, Kay Holcomb & husband Jim, Trula Michelle Coen & husband Randall, and Joan Rae Mayse & husband Danny all of Sutton; two brothers Jim Lunceford of Flatwoods, and Bill Lunceford of Replete; and one sister Phyllis Anderson of French Creek. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton, West Virginia with Rev. Rodney England officiating. Burial was in the Lunceford/Mollohan Cemetery, Vernon Road, Flatwoods, West Virginia.

Lucy Bussey Cadle
Lucy Bussey Cadle, 90, of Gassaway, formerly of Duck, West Virginia, died Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
She was born April 13, 1915 a daughter of the late Cornelius and Arizona Rader Bussey in Camden On Gauley, West Virginia.
She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by husband, Dewey Cadle; son, John and daughter, Helen; and her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Cadle Burrows and her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Burrows, with whom she made her home with for 22 years; son; Robert Cadle and wife, Nancy of Ravenna, OH; grandchildren, John Dewey Cadle of Ravenna, OH; Charles Steve Cadle of Ravenna, OH; Terri Hall of Charleston, SC, Tammy Cross and husband, Dominick of Kent, OH; Kristy Riffle and husband, David of Burnsville, West Virginia; several great grandchildren, including. Dominick Timothy Cross of Kent, OH; Jessica Nicole Burrows and Tristan Todd Riffle of Burnsville, West Virginia.
Service was held at 11 am Friday, January 13 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. Mark Stump officiating. Burial was in the Duffield Cemetery in Clay County.
Twila Jean Sizemore
Twila Jean Sizemore passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side on January 9, 2006. She was born May 10, 1929 in Washington , PA.
She grew up in Steubenville, OH and married Ralph Sizemore in June of 1946. Twila lived an active and helpful life near Olympia, WA and after 40 years she returned to Centralia, West Virginia. She recently resided in Fort McDowell, AZ where she was receiving medical treatments in Scottsdale, AZ at the Mayo Clinic.
Her beloved husband Ralph Sizemore; sisters Carol Serbijan and Ruth White man; brothers Ron Moore and Leroy Moore and many nieces and nephews survive her. Her beautiful smile will be missed by her loving husband, family and countless friends.
A memorial service was held Sunday, January 15, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Centralia United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Griffin officiating.

Eugene Victor Blake
Eugene Victor Blake, age 75, of Elverson, PA departed this life on January 8, 2006 at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading PA following an extended illness.
He was born March 3, 1930 in Braxton County son of the late Lora Blake and Anna Pulliam Blake.
He retired from the Budd Company Eagle, Chester County with 29 years of service.
Surviving is wife Rosalea Tolley Blake of Elverson, PA, one son Mark of HoneyBrook, PA, two sisters Matoka Miller of Morgantown, PA, Ruth Dobbins of Cedarville, WV, two brothers William Blake of Elverson, PA, Clarence Blake of HoneyBrook, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, one half-sister, one brother and one half brother.
Funeral services were conducted at the Labs Funeral Home Inc., of HoneyBrook, PA on Wednesday January 11, 226 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Walter E. Shuler officiating. Burial was in the Hopewell Christian Fellowship Cemetery, in Caernarvon Township, Berks County, PA.
Perry D. Stilwell, Sr.
Perry D. Stilwell, Sr., 88, of Roanoke, West Virginia died Thursday January 12, 2006 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston, West Virginia.
He was born December 11, 1917 in Blackburn, West Virginia to the late William Burt and Alta Bessie Mick Stilwell.
Mr. Stilwell retired from the Steel Mills, and was a welder in the Shipyard during World War II, he was also a member of the AFLCIO, and he was a member of the Orlando Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Gene Stilwell, and five children, sons Perry Denzil Stilwell Jr. of Frederick, MD, John Burton Stilwell of Texas , Carl Hubbal Stilwell of Romney, WV, Denzil Martin Stilwell of Orlando, WV and one daughter Edna Marie William of Texas and 8 grandchildren and 17 great grand children.
In addition to his parents one sister Mae Hibbs Stilwell and one brother Clave Stilwell preceded him in death.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Posey Cemetery with Rev. Lonnie Ramsey officiating.

Delbert Dale "Brian" Allen
Delbert Dale “Brian” Allen, 80, of Orlando, WV. passed away Saturday January 7, 2006 at his home after a long illness.
He was born on August 13, 1925 in Napier, WV. The son of the late Charles and Edna Riffle Allen. He was a retired construction worker and a US Army Veteran of WW II having served in the 508th regiment of the 101st Airborne Division in the Normandy Invasion and throughout Europe. He received the Purple Heart, CIB, and the Bronze Star.
He is preceded in death by his wife Gladys, children, Barbara, Shirley, Jerry, George and Charles.
He is survived by his sons, James and Danny Allen both of Orlando; Ivan and Ronald Allen both of Cleveland, OH.
Sisters, Marie Cosner of Burnsville WV. and Mary Parker of Cleveland, OH.
Brothers, Ray Allen of Burnsville, WV.; Gene Allen of Cleveland, OH.; Bob Allen of Struthers, OH.
He had seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday January 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Stockert-Gibson Funeral in Flatwoods, WV. With the Rev. Delmas Singleton officiating. Burial followed in the Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters, WV. military Graveside Rites were provided by VFW Post #33 in Gassaway, WV. Maysel Pearl Hall
Maysel Pearl Hall died on January 15, 2006 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Center at Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born July 26, 1916 in Birch River, WV, the daughter of the late Everett and Luvena Perry Frame. Maysel and her husband raised their three children in Gassaway, WV, where she was employed at the Gassaway Midland Department Store and for 20 years operated the Town and Country Beauty Salon on Main Street, Gassaway. She was preceded in death by her brother Dallas, sisters, Mabel and Audra and her son Wilbert. She is survived by her brother Roland Frame and his wife, Marie of Franklin, NC and Palmetto, FL. She is also survived by daughter Wilma Hall Strawberry and husband Kenneth of Wilmington, NC and daughter Janet Hall Gainer and husband Robert of Conway, SC, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She moved to Wilmington in 1995 to be near her daughters. She was member of New Life Chapel in Gassaway and the Seagate Community Chapel in Wilmington.
Maysel was the great granddaughter of Milton Frame and his wife Amanda Rose Frame. Mr. Frame was a well recognized county surveyor and was nominated to the legislature of the newly formed State of West Virginia but declined the position. He accepted an appointment by Governor Pierpoint to hold the first election in the Birch District. In the first year of the Civil War his house was attacked by bushwhackers seeking to capture him. He and his wife and son defended their home in a gun battle with the bushwhackers. Mrs. Frame, Maysel’s great grandmother, was shot through the wrist and lost the use of one hand. Mr. Frame’s widow, Amanda, owned the property on which most of Gassaway stands and her farm was purchased by the Gassaway Development Company. The land was surveyed and the town was laid out and in 1905 was incorporated as the Town of Gassaway.
Maysel returned to Gassaway over the 2005 Gassaway Days to join in the Centennial celebration of the founding of the Town of Gassaway. Maysel never lost her identity with Gassaway and West Virginia. Each week she looked forward to receiving her copy of the Braxton Citizens’ News.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 21 at the Richard Roach Funeral Home in Gassaway. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm and services will be conducted by Reverends Shiela Baughman and Harold Greenlief at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place immediately following the service at the Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Hyel E. Bagley
Hyel E. Bagley, 66, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Hospice at The Inn at Medina after a three-year-long courageous battle with cancer.He was born Feb. 1, 1939, in Chippewa Lake. He lived in Medina for 61 years. He was self-employed. He operated Medina Laundry until his retirement. He was a 1958 graduate of Medina High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Medina United Methodist Church. He was an avid scuba diver and bowler. He loved sports. His biggest joy in life was his family. He was a kind and gentle husband. His grandchildren were his greatest joy. He never missed an activity they participated in. He was a kind, gentle and considerate man and will be sorrowfully missed by all of his family and friends.He is survived by his lifelong companion and wife, Betty Wilson Bagley; daughters, Vickie (Tom) Kania of Medina and Allison (Tim) Lynskey of Medina; grandchildren; Courtney, Lauren, Amy and Hallie Kania, and Gabrielle, Sydney and Cameron Lynskey; brother, David (Michaeleen) Bagley of Greeley, Colo.; and sisters, Phyllis (Chuck) Flaugh of Medina and Karen (Ken) Timberlake of Oro Valley, Ariz.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Beryl Bagley.Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Paula Spaur Henson
Paula Spaur Henson, age 83, departed this life January 17, 2006 after a year’s courageous battle with cancer. She was born at Exchange, WV on August 27, 1922 to Perry H. and Gertrude Gillespie Spaur. She was first married to Spurgeon Perrine at a very young age and the marriage ended in divorce. She moved to Orlando, FL in 1945, where she met and married Glen Henson, a rancher, who departed this life in 1986. She sold part of the ranch to Crusade for Christ and other developments and bought a home in Bay Hills, Orlando, where she lived until her death. Her warm, friendly spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Each Wednesday, she would have Bible Study at her home for “Bill’s girls” which the meant the world to her! She is survived by brothers, Ernest and wife Evelyn Spaur of Hoopston, IL; Thurman and wife Shirley Spaur of Clarksburg, WV, who cared for her in her home this past year; brother-in-law Walter Hansen of Orlando; sisters, Elouise and Burdette Cutlip of Flatwoods; Louella and Bob Naetzel of Neuvo, CA; Wilma Wood of Elkins and many nieces and nephews, whom with Paula’s generosity, may attend colleges and universities of their choice. She had two brothers that preceded her in death, Gerald and Burton Spaur and three sisters, Alice Hansen, Ruth Spaur and Erma Spaur. A small memorial service was held on Saturday, at 4:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church of Windermere where she was a member. Clara Ann Johnson
Clara Ann Johnson, 67, of Ivydale, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, after a long fight against cancer.
She was a retired teacher’s aide from the Ivydale School with over 30 years of service. She attended Ivydale Methodist Church and she grew up in Widen.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Grace Truman; sister, Lizzie Shingler; and brother, Alfred Truman.
She is survived by her husband, Paul R. Johnson Sr. of Ivydale; son and daughter-in-law, Paul R. “Dick” Jr. and Joyce Johnson of Ivydale; grandsons, J.D. and Brandon of Ivydale; sisters and brothers-in-law, Olga Thurman Ratliff, Betty and Charles Cantrell, Joan and Jim Dawson; brothers Okey “Doc” and wife, Joann Truman, all of Duck, Joe Truman of Big Otter; sister-in-law, June Johnson of Summersville; foster sister, Maysel McNeer of Charleston; and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay, with (nephews) Ministers Joe Bob Truman and Joe Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at the Dawson farm at Duck.
