Delma P. Brown, 79, of Flatwoods, died November 12, 2010.
She was a homemaker and a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Ray Lemon and Harley Brown.
Delma is survived by sons, Raymond Lemon of Flatwoods and James Roy Lemon of Strange Creek; sister, Nora Burns of Ohio.
Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 16 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.

William Irvin “Bill” Patrick
William Irvin “Bill” Patrick of Clem, Braxton County, went to be with the Lord he faithfully served for so many years, on December 1, 2010 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old.
He was born August 3, 1934 the son of the late George I. and Elva Perrine Patrick.
He was a faithful member of the Dessie Baptist Church for many years, where he served as Deacon, Trustee, church clerk/treasurer, song leader and Sunday schoolteacher; he loved his Mountaineers and NASCAR; he was a member of the NRA and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of fifty three and a half years, Carolyn Dobbins Patrick; daughter, Cheryl Ann Lilly and son-in-law, Darrell; son, William Kent Patrick; grandchildren, the light of his life are, Jonathan Lee, Jason William, Kristen Sue and Nicole Ann Lilly; other special children, Becky Frase, Greg , Kameron, Kassidy, Kaden, Crystal, Cassie, Jon and Shawn
He was preceded in death by brothers, Birchard, Ray, Harold and Eugene; sisters, Kathleen, Pat and Jewell.
Surviving siblings; brother, Alton Dale Patrick and wife, “Skinny” of Gassaway ; sisters, Verla Mae McLaughlin of Frametown, Gracie Hatch of Galesburg, IL and Claudine Dennison and husband, Johnny of Gassaway; many nieces, nephews, so many friends, loved ones and special people in his life who will miss his beautiful smile.
Service was 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 4 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Pastor Mark Minney, Elder Jon Rule and Elder Leroy Pack officiating. Burial with military rites was in the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Gassaway.
Friends called from 10:30 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.

Jerry Lee Pounds
Jerry Lee Pounds, 61, of Gassaway, WV departed this life November 30, 2010. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 14, 1949.
Jerry was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Vera Fay Harris.
Se is survived by her son, Jimmy Lee Uland of Sandusky, OH; daughters, Misty Ables of Clarksburg, Christina Nottingham of Gassaway; companion, Frank H. Henderson of Sutton; brothers, Thomas Harris, Douglas Harris, Keith Harris all of Arkansas; sister, Deanna Dugger also of Arkansas; grandchildren, Dreama Starr Hottingham, Tyler Scott Rhode, Sierra Dawn Nottingham, Sydney Nicole Rhode, Lesabra Shyanne Workman.

Karen S. Boone
Karen S. Boone, 62, of Sutton, WV departed this life December 1, 2010 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. She was born November 6, 1948 in Braxton County.
Karen was a Bank Teller for Home National/City National and Bank of Gassaway for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert D. and Ella Sears Cutlip.
Surviving Karen is her husband of 35 years William O. Boone of Sutton; one son, William Adam Boone of Spencer, WV.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2010, Greene-Robertson Funeral Home in Sutton with Rev. Linn Schiefer officiating. Burial was in the Braxton Memorial Cemetery, Sutton. Friends called Saturday December 4, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Elder Darrill Hashman
Elder Darrill Hashman, 81, of Mt. Zion, WV passed away November 28, 2010 at Minnie Hamilton Health Care following a four month illness. He was born in Little Otter, Braxton County, WV, the son of the late Lon and Hettie Keener Hashman on February 8, 1929.
He served his country in Germany during the Korean Conflict
Darrill married Phylis Deulley on October 25, 1954 at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland who survives at their Mt. Zion home. He also is survived by one son, Dale Leon (Cindy), one daughter Monica (Edwin) White , four grandchildren, Dallas (Nok) and Dillon Hashman of WV, Heather (Kelland) Garland of Simpsonville KY and Amanda White of WV. Pap Paw enjoyed his four great grandchildren Emma, Ethan, and Addison Garland and Brianna Hashman. He is survived by one sister Joy Livermore of Williamsport PA, one brother Norman “Sonny” Hashman of Elyria, OH and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lon and Hettie Keener, two sisters Dolleta Burns and Ilene Allen, one brother Gerald and an infant son Gary Lee Hashman.
Darrill was baptized on November 17, 1963 into the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church of Grafton, OH by the late Elder Harlan Alltop. He was ordained by this church on June 27, 1971 and served as a pastor to churches in Ohio and West Virginia.
Mr. Hashman retired from Lorain Ford Assembly Plant, Lorain OH after 30 years in June of 1989.
Elder Hashman was a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church on Beech Road, Arnoldsburg, WV.
After moving back to WV in 1989, he was a volunteer ambulance driver for Calhoun EMS for eleven years. He served as Chaplin at Minnie Hamilton Health Care and was a member of CCCOA Choir. Darrill was serving as the 1st Vice President of the West Virginia State Gospel Singing Convention at Mt. Nebo, WV.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Minnie Hamilton Auxiliary, 186 Hospital Drive, Grantsville, WV 26147 or make checks payable to West Virginia State Gospel Singing Convention, c/o Verena Haga, Box 302, Richwood, WV 26261. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 2, at 1 pm at the Stump Funeral Home at Arnoldsburg. Elder Richard Westfall and Elder Larry Fisher officiated. Interment was in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church cemetery at Normantown.

Lonnie Wayne Keener
Lonnie Wayne Keener, 51, of Norton, formally of Sutton WV died on Nov. 30, 2010 at home after a short illness. He was born on Jan. 5, 1959 in East Tawas, MI.
He was a computer technician. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and walking.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his mother; Emma Jean Rose, brother; Jeffrey Keener, sister; Irene Keener and paternal grandparents; Dewey and Pearl Keener and maternal grandparents; Tom and Hazel Rose.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Patricia Jean McCauley Keener, father; George Dewey Keener, Jr. and wife Pat of Sutton, WV, sisters; Diana Keener (Roy Cowger) of Wilsie, WV, Janette Folk (Brian) of Baltimore MD, brothers; Gregory Keener (Charlotte) of Princeton, WV, Alfred Lee Keener of Baltimore, MD, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:oo pm at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home in Sutton, WV with Pastor Jason Allen officiating, Burial followed in the Keener Cemetery near Sutton, WV

Joseph Myron Gibson
Joseph Myron Gibson died suddenly on April 6, 2011. He was 22 years old.
Joseph was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremiah Shane Gibson; maternal grandfather, Jack L. Davis; and paternal grandparents, Julian V. and Mabel S. Gibson.
He is survived by two daughters, Ceina Lee Gibson and Presley Ann Gibson; parents, Samuel “Unk” and Sandra Gibson of Herold; grandmother, Marjorie Davis of Exchange; brothers and their wives, Samuel “Chad” and Andrea Gibson of Gassaway and Benjamin “Ben” and Jessica Gibson of Flatwoods; a sister and her husband, Madeline “Abby” and Howard Wenkmuller of Herold; his friend, Lisa Elaine Belknap of Glenville; nieces, Jocelyn, Corina and Vera Gibson of Flatwoods; niece, Carmela Wenkmuller, and nephew, Malachi Wenkmuller of Herold; nieces, Angelica and Allysa Shaw, and nephew, Anthony Shaw of Gassaway; and niece, Cheyenne Belknap of Glenville.
Aunts and uncles include John and Betty Gibson of Herold, John and Joanne Gawthrop of Gassaway, Cliff and Christy Freeman of Clarksburg, Mike and Donna Gibson of Little Birch, Bobbie Gibson of Tesla, Martha Cook of Frametown, Charles and Anita Cook of Exchange, Tracy Minnich of Exchange, Roland and Sue Davis of Exchange and Nelson and Jackie Salazar of Beckley.
Surviving cousins are Angela and Chris Sprouse of Glenville, Charles Cook of Exchange, Mandy and Travis Brown of Florida, Maggie Gardner of Charleston, Jacob Minnich of Burnsville, Andrew Minnich of Heaters, Tiffany and Brian Balis of Little Birch, Nathan Davis of Sutton, Darlen Salazar of Beckley, Carolyn and Todd Dean of Summersville, Matt and Janet Gibson of Herold, Debbie and Cliff Neece of North Carolina, Penny and Walter Mize of North Carolina, Julie and Eric Burchett of North Carolina, Christina and Jimmy Craig of Tesla, Cliff “Chip” and Diana Freeman of Clarksburg, Travis Freeman of Clarksburg, Serina and Mike Wright of Ohio and Michael “Wolfgang” Gibson of Maryland.
Joseph was born on July 20, 1988, in Charleston. He was employed by Bi-Con Services Company, Derwerth, Ohio. He was a talented musician and artist, and had a gift of loving and caring for all people around him.
The family would like to thank all of the many family members and friends who shared in the love, tears and laughter that made Joseph who he was. You have truly been a village of support.
