HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Glen Warren Ziler, 62, of Hedgesville, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, at his home.
Born Sept. 14, 1936, in Great Cacapon, W.Va., he was the son of the late Lindsey Orland and Jessie Lillian Holliday Ziler.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita June Ward Ziler.
He attended public schools in Great Cacapon and Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
He owned and operated Ziler Trucking Co. in Warfordsburg, Pa., from 1977 to 1987.
He was a Protestant.
He was a member of James W. Bowers Lodge 173 AF & AM, Hancock; and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 120, Martinsburg, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Gale Duckworth Ziler; a daughter, Jennifer Long of Aviano Air Base, Italy; three sons, Terry Ziler of Hancock, Craig Ziler of Warfordsburg and Jeffrey Sherwood of Hedgesville; a sister, Linda A. Wheeler of Gaithersburg, Md.; a brother, Phillip Ziler of Great Cacapon; a granddaughter; a grandson; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Vincent Ziler.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs. Pastor Jack Rudy will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Nebo cemetery, Great Cacapon.
The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Ethel M. Jenkins
SUMMIT POINT, W.Va. - Ethel Mae Nichols Jenkins, 73, of Summit Point, died Friday, Oct. 2, 1998, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.
Born June 20, 1925, in Madison County, Va., she was the daughter of the late James E. and Iler Nicholson Nichols.
Her husband, James A. Jenkins, preceded her in death.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She is survived by four daughters, Doris Dodson of Shepherdstown, W.Va., Jean Gordon of Winchester, Audrey Graves of Boyce, Va., and Ethel Combs of Summit Point; three sons, James A. Jenkins of Stephens City, Va., Sonny Ien Jenkins of Wardensville, W.Va., and Marvin L. Jenkins of Summit Point; two sisters, Elsie C. Hawkins and Louna B. Sorrells, both of Winchester; five brothers, Carl Nichols, Frank W. Nichols, and Lenwood T. Nichols, all of Stephens City; Lewis T. Nichols of Bunker Hill, W.Va., and Earl D. Nichols of Summit Point; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ellen Jenkins; one sister, Edith I. Bell; and one brother, James "Buddy" Nichols.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home in Charles Town, W.Va. The Rev. Johnny Faircloth will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Clifford L. Ramey Sr.
KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Clifford Louis Ramey Sr., 73, of Kearneysville, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 1998, at City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 15, 1925, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Louis and Irene Wilson Ramey.
He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Lettieri Ramey; a daughter, Nancy Evans of Sykesville, Md.; a son, Clifford L. Ramey Jr. of Kearneysville; two stepdaughters, Martha Anderson and Mary Morris, both of Martinsburg; two stepsons, Robert E. Wetzel and Ronald E. Wetzel, both of Martinsburg; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Tressa Stokes, Audren Morris, Grace Jones and Jackie Armstrong; and two brothers, George Ramey and Luther Ramey.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. Bishop Calvin Grow will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Florence V. Hahn
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Florence V. Hahn, 101, of Shepherdstown, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Canterbury of Shepherdstown.
Born March 23, 1897, in White City, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Owen Torgeson.
Her husband, Walter Frederick Hahn, preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Hahn of Shepherdstown; one sister, Bernice Taggart of Goodland, Kan.; four grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.

Charles E. Goodrich
SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Charles Edgar Goodrich, 85, of Shepherdstown, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, at Washington County Hospital.
Born April 9, 1913, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William E. and Octavia Hill Goodrich.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Bright Goodrich, in 1983.
He attended Shepherdstown High School.
He retired from Fort Letterkenny U.S. Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa. He worked in the Communications Department.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a member of George Washington Masonic Lodge 143 F&AM, Chambersburg; Harrisburg, Pa., Lodge of Perfection; Harrisburg Council Princes of Jerusalem; Harrisburg Chapter of Rose Croix; and Harrisburg Consistory.
He is survived by a sister, Bernetta Hawbaker of Fayetteville, Pa.; a brother, William K. Goodrich of Shepherdstown; four nieces; and five nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bonsal F. Goodrich.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery, Shepherdstown.
There will be no visitation.

Ruth D. Cipperly
HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Ruth Diane Cipperly, 60, of Hedgesville, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, at her home.
Born June 13, 1938, in Cheverly, Md., she was the daughter of late Harold Blaine and Ruth Foreman Lowry.
She worked as a secretary at Shepherd College.
She was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her husband, John C. Cipperly; a daughter, Sherry; a son, Richard; a sister, Joan Patterson of Bowie, Md.; two brothers, John Lowry of Columbia, Md., and Robert Lowry of Buffalo, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
