CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Wilbur Scott, 81, of Charles Town, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born June 21, 1917, in Jefferson County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Jacob and Sophia Blackburn Scott.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Davis Scott, in 1982.
He retired from the maintenance department of Charles Town Races.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by three daughters, Dolores S. Murray, Barbara A. Justice and Kimberly Scott, all of Charles Town; two sons, Wilbur Scott Jr. of Charles Town and Vincent Scott of Ranson, W.Va.; two sisters, Josephine Hudson of North Carolina and Clara Scott of New Jersey; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia D. Grantham; two brothers, Henry Scott and Travis Scott; and a grandson, Kevin Washington.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town. The Rev. Paul Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Gibsontown, W.Va.
The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Barbara Justice, at 416 W. Washington St., Charles Town, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
Jean F. Parsons
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Jean F. Parsons, 72, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born July 13, 1926, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Don H. and Pearl May Weller Parsons.
She was a 1944 graduate of Martinsburg High School. She attended James Madison University; and was a graduate of Stuart Circle Hospital School of Nursing in Richmond, Va.
She was a registered nurse, retiring from the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg after 31 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Shirley A. Parsons, at home.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Christopher D. Fowler will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Clyde B. McDaniel Sr.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Clyde B. McDaniel Sr., 75, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at City Hospital.
Born March 26, 1923, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late Benjamin and Cora Hite McDaniel.
He had been employed by Roger's Auto Body and Wagner Chevrolet.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Smith McDaniel; three daughters, Margie Greenfield and Debbie Cooper, both of Martinsburg and Connie Markley of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two sons, Clyde B. McDaniel Jr. of Inwood, W.Va., and Joseph D. McDaniel of Martinsburg; a sister, Grace Rodgers of Martinsburg; two brothers, Herbert McDaniel of Charles Town, W.Va., and Wayne McDaniel of Arden, W.Va.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Drew McDaniel; a granddaughter, Tiffany McDaniel; and four brothers, Conard McDaniel, Parren McDaniel, Clement McDaniel and Floyd McDaniel.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. John D. Yost and the Rev. Russell Wright will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church cemetery, Needmore, W.Va.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Peter P. Brennish
BOLIVAR, W.Va. - Peter Paul Brennish, 84, of Bolivar, died Friday, Nov. 6, 1998, at Shenandoah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 8, 1914, in Barnesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Nicholia and Juliana Milchielsin Brenisin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Rose Brennish, in 1992.
He was a retired plumber.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of St. James Catholic Church at Charles Town, W.Va.
He was a member of Local 48 of Plumbers and Gasfitters for 45 years; and American Legion Post 313, both of Baltimore.
He is survived by three daughters, Mary Anne Stambaugh of Bolivar, Carolyn O'Connor of Atherton, Calif., and Beverly Mulligan of Randallstown, Md.; a brother, John Brennish of Phillipsburg, Pa.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Brennish.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer Funeral Home, 970 Washington St., Harpers Ferry, W.Va. The Rev. Brian Owens will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peters cemetery, Harpers Ferry.

GREAT CACAPON, W.Va. - Ronald Ernest Clark, 58, of Great Cacapon, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Born June 27, 1940, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Jesse Elmer and Shirley Lee Collins Clark.
He retired in 1993 after 26 years of service as an installer with C&P Telephone Co.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the late 1950s.
He was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Orleans Crossroads, W.Va.
He was a member of National Rifle Association; he was a member and past master of Deford Lodge 88 AF&AM, Berkeley Springs.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Audrey Florence Van Meter Clark; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Clark of Great Cacapon; a son, Ronald Anthony Clark of Great Cacapon; a half sister, Lorrie Clark of New Britain, Conn.; a stepsister, Sharon Ailstock of Sarasota, Fla.; a stepbrother, Fred Clark of Virginia Beach, Va.; a grandson; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Orleans Crossroads, W.Va. The Rev. Hennis H. Fox, the Rev. Roger E. Burtner and the Rev. Doris Cook will officiate. Burial with Masonic graveside rites conducted by Deford Lodge 88 AF&AM will be in Mount Zion United Methodist Church cemetery. Master Masons to assemble at the church on Monday at 9:45 a.m.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Terry Lee Shepherd, 45, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, the result of an automobile accident.
Born Dec. 9, 1952, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Bernice Kackley Johnson of Martinsburg and the late Harris Leon Shepherd Sr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Sandra Kay Barrett of Martinsburg; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harris Leon "Jesse" Shepherd Jr.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg. The Rev. Christopher D. Fowler will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
