RANSON, W.Va. - Bonnie Sharon Jenkins, 59, of Ranson, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Feb. 12, 1940, in Brunswick, Md., she was the daughter of Nelle Fae Booth Brawner Sinclair of Brunswick, and the late John Brawner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Jenkins.
She was a 1959 graduate of Brunswick High School.
She was employed by Dobbs International Food Service Co. at Dulles Airport in Leesburg, Va.
She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter in Brunswick.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her former husband and fiance, Holmes Ashwood of Middleway, W.Va.; three children, Cindy A. Wright of Middleway, Robin L. Gonzalez of Ranson, and John H. Ashwood of Inwood, W.Va.; two sisters, Patricia Washington of Springfield, Va., and Wanda Burke of Dale City, Va.; two brothers, Thomas Brawner of Hagerstown and Carroll Brawner of Silver Spring, Md.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Fae Ashwood Costello; and a brother, John Brawner Jr..
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town, W.Va. The Rev. Mary Garrett will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill cemetery in Charles Town.
Friends will be received at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Cora Louise McDonald, 82, of Shepherdstown, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at her home.
Born Feb. 23, 1917, in Jefferson County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Travis and Louise Green Hughes.
She attended Mount Zion AME Church in Duffields, W.Va.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Norman Joseph McDonald; six daughters, Gloria Guy, Norma Branson, Barbara Branson and Carol Hunter, all of Shepherdstown, and Helen Houser and Cora Houser, both of New Kensington, Pa.; seven sons, Norman McDonald of Shepherdstown, Leslie McDonald, Charles McDonald, William McDonald and Nelson McDonald, all of New Kensington, Pa., Stanley McDonald of Masontown, Pa., and Richard McDonald of Martinsburg, W.Va.; a sister, Lena Burrell of New Kensington; 37 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Bessie Brown, Anita Rogers, Artelia Jackson, Roberta Branson and Signora Brooks; and six brothers, Hubert Hughes, Sherman Hughes, Travis Hughes, Howard Hughes, Milton Hughes and Sylvester Hughes.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown. The Rev. Robert E. Gidney will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St., Martinsburg, W.Va.
The family will gather at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hunter on Saturday before going to the church.
William M. Conneway Jr.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - William M. Conneway Jr., 74, of Martinsburg, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.
Born Nov. 30, 1924, in Erwin, W.Va., he was the son of the late William M. Sr. and Ocie Shaffer Conneway.
He was a retired building superintendent.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II, and was a prisoner of war.
He was a Disabled American Veteran and a member of Newton D. Baker Post No. 896 VFW.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Freida Hoffman Conneway; three daughters, Susan Gibson of Raleigh, N.C., Bobbi Ackerman of Washington, N.J., and Bonni Field of Newark, Del.; a sister, Marion Catlett of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; two brothers, Fred Conneway of Titusville, Fla., and Ronnie Conneway of Capon Bridge, W.Va.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center Chapel. Chaplain Steven J. Jenks will officiate.
Burial will be Monday, Aug. 30, at 1 p.m. at Arlington National cemetery.

Born March 1, 1929, in East Bank, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Biddie Christie Jarrett.
She was a private-duty home care giver in Jefferson County, W.Va.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert Gordon Davis; five children, Thomas W. Paxton of Columbus, Ohio, Barbara J. Paxton and Sherman R. Paxton, both of Martinsburg, W.Va., Gary L. Paxton of Ranson, W.Va., and Mary G. Adkins of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two stepchildren, Denise Davis of Angier, N.C., and Diane Rue of Fuquay-Varnia, N.C.; two sisters, Lorraine Kelly of Sissonville, W.Va., and Ernie Coleman of East Bank, W.Va.; three brothers, Denver Jarrett of Paint Creek, W.Va., Billy Hay of Glasco, W.Va., and Sherman Jarrett of East Bank; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and close friend, Eleanor Ann Shirley of Shenandoah Junction, W.Va.

James M. Welty
KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - James Melvin "Peewee" Welty, 75, of Fox Glen, Kearneysville, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Edith M. and Donald Densmore.
Born Sept. 8, 1923, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late John and Edith Miller Welty.
His wife, Eleanor Loucille "Sis" Welty, died in 1995.
He retired in 1986 after 33 years as a tractor-trailer driver with Freight Drivers Local Union 557.
He was a Protestant.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He received medals including the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Ribbon with bronze arrowhead.
He is survived by his daughter, Edith M. Densmore of Glengary, W.Va.; one sister, Catherine McCarty of Stephens City, Va.; three brothers, Francis Welty of Grand Rapids, Minn., Walter Welty of Halltown, W.Va., and John Welty of Waynesboro, Pa.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Welty and Thomas Welty; and a great-grandson.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home in Charles Town. Pastor Terry Crawford will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale cemetery in Martinsburg.
